This may actually be what to do. Unless someone had a whole ton of Top Plates like Kei did Plastics and HMS to hand out, I don't think any of the attendees actually have Top Plates to use. Maybe we can have just one less side event?

If anyone has the Tornado BeyStadium and can bring it with them on both Friday and Sunday, please let me know. We're hoping to be change the Top Plate side event on both days to an event involving that stadium.

I was re-reading the Team Format rules and noticed that it said if there are 5+ teams, then it will be double elimination? If we do that, won't the tournament go by really quickly?

You have to consider that each Team BeyBattle consists of three BeyBattles, so it wouldn't be that quick. We are also thinking of changing the rules slightly if we get 9+ teams (which is likely) because Single Elimination is what might be too quick (and also not that fair since we want people to play at least two battles); if that is the case we might do Block Round Robin with three teams per block.

As you know from BEY OR DIE, judge availability is also a slight issue at Team Format events because there's a good chance that many Team BeyBattles will contain 4+ qualified judges at once, so that slows things down too.

Does this mean that each player on a team is playing at the same time? That kinda removes the most fun element of team play — the tension of rooting for your teammates — doesn't it?

It isn't, no. That's not what I recall doing at BEY OR DIE, at least.

Also, Bey Brad, I believe it is a taking turns system, not a everyone at once. At Bey or Die, we all had chances to root for one another and cheer each other on.

I'm leaving for Toronto now I'm so excited.

Everyone who volunteered to help with the BEYBLADE BATTLE STATIONS; I will assign you a location/partner tomorrow, so be sure to check this topic again before Friday!

Does this mean that each player on a team is playing at the same time? That kinda removes the most fun element of team play — the tension of rooting for your teammates — doesn't it?

Ah no no, not at all. It's like LMAO said. One battle at a time so that tension does exist and so that there is an opportunity for teammates to talk strategy in the minutes between battles.

No one! We need more volunteers! Anyone else who is reading this by tomorrow morning let me know and I can see if we can get someone set up here.

Volunteers, please meet me in the lobby of the International Plaza hotel to pick up your flyers and posters before going to your location. I will be there at around 2:30PM or before and should be there until 4:30PM (at which point I'll be heading over to the Sheraton to set up for MFB BeyBattle Revolution). We'll be a little bit off to the left and back from the main entrance ... just look for the BB-10s haha. When you arrive you can just hang out with JesseObre and I until your partner arrives if he hasn't already.

2:30PM-5:30PM, FRIDAY, MAY 22 2015

WHERE:
Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel, International Plaza Hotel, Toronto Congress Center

WHY:
To help promote Team BeyBattle Revolution, our other events at AN, and the WBO!

HOW:
Volunteer Bladers will be paired up and scattered around the convention wielding their Beyblades, BB-10 Stadiums, Beyblade Battle Station posters, WBO Promo Cards, and flyers promoting the WBO events throughout the weekend. The goal is to attract and talk to on-lookers about our events, encourage them to attend, to join the WBO, or to simply try out Beyblade for themselves right then and there!

It will also be important to tell them to not worry if they do not have a Beyblade of their own for the events: we will have some new Beyblades available for $5 available for sale at MFB BeyBattle Revolution and Team BeyBattle Revolution that they can purchase if they would like. And for HMS BeyBattle Revolution, someone can let them borrow one.

Anybody who is going to be at Anime North on Friday, May 22nd ... we need your help! To help promote our events at Anime North this year I've decided to bring back an idea Bey Brad once employed years ago before BEYBLADE WAR ROOM: "BEYBLADE BATTLE STATIONS". As explained above, I am looking for volunteers to help run these battle stations throughout the convention in the hours leading up to our first tournament of the weekend, MFB BeyBattle Revolution.

There is not necessarily any limit on the amount of pairs I am looking for; we can always find slightly new locations if there's a lot of you who can help out. Once I've determined who the pairs are, we can work together to determine who will be stationed at each location, and figure out the best place to meet so that I can give you the poster, WBO Promo Cards, flyers, and BB-10 (if necessary) to use.

Please post here and let me know if you are willing to volunteer and help out with this!

If you don't have anyone specifically you would like to pair with, but want to help, post anyways and we will find someone. And if you're not available for the entire 2:30-5:30PM timespan, don't worry: even an hour would help!
