5:00 PM - Free Battle & Set Up

8:30 PM - Registration for GRAND BATTLE PRELUDE: Heavy Metal System
9:00 PM - GRAND BATTLE PRELUDE: Heavy Metal System

Mixing and matching the contemporary with the classic, kicking off the GRAND BATTLE TOURNAMENT 2 weekend is GRAND BATTLE PRELUDE: Metal Fight Beyblade (Standard Format) and GRAND BATTLE PRELUDE: HMS! These tournaments will be smaller than the championship the following day, but with qualifiers from across North America arriving in Toronto not long before this tournament starts, the competition will surely be fierce. If you're going to be at Anime North on Friday night, come join us for one final battle (or two!) until the main event!!

Why should I participate in all of these tournaments?
Besides how much fun it's going to be to play in every existing WBO Organized Play Format over one weekend ... as an added incentive to encourage everyone to participate in as many of these tournaments as possible, there will be added benefits to participating in any (or all!) of the tournaments at AN!:

”But I don’t have an HMS Beyblade for GRAND BATTLE PRELUDE: Heavy Metal System!”
No bey? No prob! If necessary, I will allow people to borrow one of my HMS Beyblades for their battles. Smile If anyone else attending can do the same for those in need, it would be appreciated!


Tournament registration will begin at around 5:30PM, but we will have the room starting from 5PM, so if anyone wishes to go early and free battle, please do so! And as always, the Credits, BeyPoints, Faces, and prizes will be awarded!

If you think you can make it, please post which tournament(s) you’ll be attending and I'll start building an attendance list!

If you're getting it from Kei head to the Sheraton. If you actually bought it head to the TCC.

Apparently no live-streaming, but from what I remember, here are the top three :

STANDARD
1st - Geetster99
2nd - Arupaeo (or first, I cannot remember)
3rd - OnTheDL (Geetster99's mother)

HMS
1st - Arupaeo
2nd - Cye Kinomiya
3rd - Kai-V


In Standard, I know OnTheDL is definitely third, and I do think Geetster99 was part of the top three himself, but what position he had and whether the other Blader was definitely Arupaeo, I cannot remember with certainty unfortunately.

I had an absolutely amazing time last night.

It was such a great experience being able to meet other members from the US.

Anyways, in my block, I ended up advancing with both Arupaeo and Geetster99. We all went 5-2, from what I remember. With that being said, I went 2-3 in the semis, which lead me to winning 4th place. Beypoints, lots of Beypoints.

Also, what time did the HMS tournament finish? I would of stayed, but I'd much rather get a better night sleep for the Championships today.

Nope. It didn't quite work out as planned. Instead I returned to an old friend that I originally thought up to counter Dekailo. Smile
