New Time & Location: 1PM at High Park
Hey everyone! It looks like there is a high chance of rain tomorrow. In an effort to increase our chances of avoiding it, I'm going to move the start time and venue of this event. The tournament will now begin at 1PM in High Park where we have the option to use the shelter, instead of 12PM at Dufferin Grove Park. More information below:

Kei Wrote:We'll be playing in the shelter where we usually play. If you're coming to High Park via the Bloor St W entrance, just follow that road down on the right side and you'll see the large building/shelter on the left hand side before you reach the tennis courts. If you have any questions about the location, please post here! This map has the area we'll be playing in roughly outlined:

What is Beyblade Burst?
Beyblade Burst is the brand new, third generation of Beyblade by TAKARA-TOMY! It launched in 2015 in Japan and is set to launch in North America in 2016. If you are not familiar with Beyblade Burst, please take a look at the Beyblade Wiki article covering it, the Bey News Thread, or the Beyblade General Forum.

Don't have any Beyblades from the new series? No problem! It's likely that people will have some on hand for sale, and if not, we would be glad to lend one to you for the duration of the event!

Spread the Word!
Are you as excited about the event as we are?! If so, be sure to tell your friends about it! And if you haven't already, follow us on Twitter, like us on Facebook, and subscribe to Zankye on Youtube!

Part of me is kind of sad that we won't be playing at Dufferin Grove but switching locations was definitely a good move to make. Kudos. Smile
As much as I do love High Park, Dufferin Grove has been growing on me lately, but as Mitsu said; it's a good move.

I will most likely come and won't say I am confirmed just yet, but I hope to confirm if I will come or not later Smile
I looked into it and there is in fact a rain shelter at Dufferin Grove Park, but it looked small and I doubted that we could commandeer it entirely for our tournament if it does rain. High Park with the large shelter seems like a better option.
I'm not gonna make it tomorrow Unhappy Gotta do family stuff.
Just left, will be there by 12 if there is no huge traffic on the way to toronto
Will be heading out in a couple of minutes! See you all in a bit! ヾ(@^▽^@)ノ

EDIT: LET'S GO 3RD AMATERIOS SHARD
Im coming today but the wheater really sucks.. Gosh
I will be heading out shortly! Can't wait to see you guys Grin
Heading out now, see you guys in a bit, and good luck to everyone today!
Make sure to wish a warm Committee welcome to @[cadney] while you're there Smile
Hey guys we're in the back of the shelter. So if u dont see us at the front go around to the back
On my way home right now and thought I would post the winners and my experience at the tournament, so here I start;

1st: LMAO
2nd: JesseOprahObre
3rd: 1234beyblade

The big players today were DeathScyther _____ Revolve and Valkryie _____ Revolve, with some use of Wyvern ______ Revolve and DeathScyther Heavy Defense. Stamina was very present at the tournament, along with the new variation of Valkryie stationary attack. I feel that it is safe to say that DeathScyther Heavy (and maybe Spread) Revolve along with Valkryie Heavy Revolve are top tier worthy after today's events.

But besides combos, it was great to see everybody again! 14 people in total attended, including a newer Member, EnderBlader (was great to see you)! Lots of jokes, such as Jesse being our servant, haha. We had a lunch break thanks to Zankye, and then the finals. After the placers got their prizes, there was a giveaway for even more prizes. I got myself a Blader's Box Cool

It was a great tournament overall (despite going 3-4.. Smith), and even with the bad weather we made the best of it. I honestly can't thank @[originalzankye] enough for all the pizza and prizes, was very generous of you guys!
Just got home. A good day as always! I had went 6-5; no go at that 3rd Amaterios Shard, unfortunately though. Tongue_out

Once again, the big player was definitely Revolve. Neptune Heavy Revolve was used a lot, as was Valkyrie Heavy Revolve. It's unfortunate to say that we are definitely in a similar situation to the Odin Heavy Defense one, though. Deathscyther Heavy/Spread Revolve preformed super well today. It seemed even stationary attack wasn't consistently able to beat it. I would picture attack would have success, but it would depend on how experience the user is with attack, really.

EDIT: Almost forgot- Thank you so much Zankye and family for everything today. Smile We really appreciate it!
In my opinion Revolve should be banned, the metagame was so fun without it haha.

I started off 0-3, but managed to claw my way back. Had tons of fun, and the prizes and giveaway prizes were great and everyone really seemed to enjoy them, except for Jesse of course LOL

Thank you so much to Zankye for everything today, great to see you guys again today. Also huge thanks to everyone who helped judge or lent parts to others, it's always appreciated Smile
Thanks for the Support, was our pleasure to sponsor the Tournament.
The video is launched for part 1 , part 2 later tonight. Enjoy

Thanks

Maybe one of the worst days today in terms of weather for a tournament, and I wasn't feeling too well this morning, but nevertheless it was a fun event! Made even more so by Zankye through the generous donation of food, drink, and prizes for the event as everyone else has mentioned. Thank you so much! You're the best. Smile

Also great to see @[BAWB18] again after missing the past several events, and especially a first-time player, @[{YT}EnderBlader]! Hope to see you again!

Can't wait for our next event on Sunday, May 15th: Stir it Up!
