SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 11AM
High Park - Toronto, Ontario, Canada
BURST FORMAT

In honour of Dir en Grey's upcoming show in Toronto–the first in two years–we are hosting ... DIR en BEY : D E U X! Toronto Bladers, please join us for this Burst Format tournament on Sunday, November 15th at 11AM in High Park! We might just have a few special guests from Montreal too!

Please make note of the earlier start time: 11AM.

Location
We'll be playing in the shelter where we usually play. If you're coming to High Park via the Bloor St W entrance, just follow that road down on the right side and you'll see the large building/shelter on the left hand side before you reach the tennis courts. If you have any questions about the location, please post here! This map has the area we'll be playing in roughly outlined:

Blader Passport or Entry Fee Required
As always, to participate in the tournament you must purchase a Blader Passport for $12 CDN, or alternatively, you can pay $6 CDN for a single tournament. This fee helps us to pay for an array of things to support and make the community better: prizes, giveaways, development of new plugins, monthly hosting fees, and more.

Wondering what the event will be like?
Check out this video from our Beyblade Bursts Onto the Scene event from this past summer!:

Even though I lost, I'm proud of that battle haha. Can't believe I almost won with Wyvern via KOs.
Yo this is a bit late but congrats on another successful tournament guys. It is actually really interesting to see the meta change, although I do have one question. I've been noticing that every event all the winning combos tend to use the newest Layer, is that due to testing the layer in the meta or is it actually considered better than the ones before? Sorry if this is common knowledge I really haven't kept up with Burst that well considering the lack of events down here.

Also thanks Zankye for posting tournament videos, they really give an insightful look on the matchups and it almost feels like your actually there, keep it up please!

I would say that nobody in Toronto really takes competition lightly enough to just mass test new pieces hah. The only time I can remember this happening is when I used Scythe for almost all of my matches in last year's Limited format Anime North tournament, and I am not technically part of the Toronto community. As I was commenting in the Odin Discussion topic in the Beyblade Customizations forum, the Beyblade Burst metagame so far is comprised of new releases that outclass older parts at a steadier pace than in Metal Fight Beyblade, in my opinion.
I probably could have swept the tournament had I not posted my Odin Heavy Defense results :')

Kei, definitely agree that it's a great battle no matter what. Was very impressed by your play with Wyvern.

We would have caught on eventually, but you would have had an easier road to the finals for sure! Wink

Thank you! I didn't think I had any real chance of knocking you out, but it really shows that you should never give up on any battle.
Well here is my POV of the tournament! Hope you all enjoy!
