BEYBLADE REVIVAL CUP
SATURDAY, MAY 29, 2010
Anime North 2010 @ Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel

Golden Delicious Room
STANDARD (MFB/BMF) FORMAT

9 AM - Free Battle and Set Up
10 AM - "Beyblade 101" Workshop
11 AM - Free Battle and Registration for Beyblade Revival Cup
12 PM - Beyblade Revival Cup Tournament

In 2008, we hosted the BEYBLADE'S NOT DEAD! tournament- which was planned well before we knew that just one short year later MFB would be launching in Japan. However, now the time has come for Bladers all across the nation to celebrate the launch of BEYBLADE: METAL FUSION in Canada! Thus, for the third year in a row we will be hosting our marquee event at ANIME NORTH 2010, hosted by ANGaming, this year under the title; BEYBLADE REVIVAL CUP!

No Beyblade? No problem! We're going to try to obtain Beyblades to bring with us so you'll be able to draft the parts to form a full Beyblade (for approx. $10), then you can play and trade with other Bladers before the tournament to hone your skills!

A Blader Passport is not required for this tournament, as AN does not allow event organizers to charge entry fees for events within the convention, however if you want to support the WBO so we can host even better tournaments, with even better prizes in the future, and also participate in our world ranking system, the BeyPoints System, then you will need one!

We encourage all Bladers, both the brand new and the old to attend! With Beyblade becoming mainstream again, this has the possibility of becoming the largest tournament we have ever hosted, which means that competition will be fiercer than ever! You don't want to miss it! Hope to see you there!

If you think you'll be able to come, please post here and I will start building an attendance list!

BEY MEET-UP - FRIDAY MAY 28TH
6pm @ Doubletree Lobby

For those of you who can make it on Friday, we're planning on having a small meet-up. It shouldn't be too hard to find us; stadiums will be strewn about the floor, and I'll try to get a BEYBLADE BATTLE STATION poster up.

If there is enough people, we could potentially have a single elimination tournament as well (don't want to complicate things for something small like that).

Need-to-Know Information

1. During Registration, Open Your Account Page

Open your account page on your mobile device (if possible) during registration to help us keep things quick.

2. Arrive On Time

You must arrive by the tournament start time to enter. We cannot add new players to an event once it begins. If you're running late, contact the host.

3. Stay Aware of Your Belongings

We do everything possible to ensure a safe environment, but can't be held responsible for lost or stolen goods. Keep your gear close by!

4. The Tournament Will Last At Least a Few Hours

This event is likely to last at least a few hours. If you can't commit to the entire tournament, you're welcome to come watch and play for fun instead!

5. Listen For Your Username To Be Called

Your name will be called when it's time for your next battle. If you need to leave early or take a break, tell a judge. Missing a match could mean disqualification!

6. Players Must Meet Regional Product Age Restrictions

All players in this event must meet the age restrictions on Beyblade products in their region. TAKARA-TOMY recommends Beyblade for ages 6+. Hasbro recommends Beyblade for ages 8+. Players under these ages may only participate with the permission of their parent/guardian.

7. Players Under 18 Must Be Accompanied by a Parent/Guardian

If you are under 18 years old, a parent/guardian must accompany you and be present for the duration of the event.

8. Contests, Raffles, Gambling, Betting, and Selling Are Prohibited

Advertising the sale of any product or service, as well as posting about any contest, raffle, gambling, or betting on this event page and conducting them at the event without approval by Fighting Spirits Inc. staff is prohibited. Please contact the Organized Play team if you require approval.

9. Terms of Service

All event attendees and users of this website are subject to our Terms of Service.

We currently do not have a Portuguese forum, so we would appreciate if you speak English, like us.
Anyone know how to get to the Doubletree via the TTC? I'd rather the subway if possible. Taking a street car, or a bus isn't the most comfortable of things for me in that part of the city, as I've never been there.
You can take the subway to a certain point, but the last bit will have to be a bus. Where is your nearest subway stop

Trust me on the bus you will see a lot people headed to AN. Plus the TTC isn't scary, it's morning on a Saturday. That's how I got there last year.
Can you put me on the possible for now until I know for sure if I can come or not.

Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) www.ttc.ca
The Malton 58 bus westbound, from Lawrence West subway station stops right
in front of the TCC, a stop past Martin Grove. To reach the Park Plaza
Hotel, go one stop further west and get off at Skyway. Head north on
Skyway then east on Carlson Court. For further directions, or alternate
routes, call TTC Information at (416) 393-INFO (4336) or visit the TTC
website.

Mississauga Transit www.city.mississauga.on.ca/transit
From Square One, take the number 7 bus north. The bus stops at Dixon Road
and Carlingview. Change to the TTC Malton 58 bus eastbound. This requires
paying a new fare. This bus stops at the Doubletree International Plaza
opposite the Toronto Congress Center. For further information call
Mississauga Transit at (905) 615-4636 or visit the Mississauga
Transportation and Works website.

GO Transit http://www.gotransit.com
From either York Mills or the Yorkdale bus terminal take the Brampton
Local bus via Dixon Road. Ask to be let off at Martin Grove. The TCC is a
short walk west. To reach the Park Plaza ask to be let off at Skyway,
then walk north on Skyway and east on Carlson Court. For further
information contact GO Transit by local telephone at (416) 869-3200, toll
free at (888) 438-6646, or their website.

Driving Directions

From Lester B. Pearson Airport:
Take Dixon Road east. TCC is located just past Highway 27 on the north
side. To reach the Park Plaza, take Dixon Road east, go north on
Skyway just before Highway 27, and then east on Carlson Court.

From downtown Toronto:
Take Highway QEW west to Highway 427, north to 401 eastbound. Exit at
Martingrove and go west on Dixon. The TCC is located on the north side of
Dixon just west of the exit. The reach the Park Plaza, continue over
Highway 27 to Skyway. Go north and then east on Carlson Court.

Also- there is nothing to be worried about, it's just the TTC, mid-day :\ If you do take the bus from lawrence west, it will be full of anime nerds anyways.
I took the bus from Lawrence West last year, and I can confirm that at least half the people on it were headed to Anime North.

This tournament is only for Canadians, or people who can travel to Canada ... There is currently no event planned for the United States, which is very strange to me.
This has been asked in previous years; what would you guys like to see for prizes? Be realistic! Our budget for this year may be a little smaller, but we should be able to get a decent amount of stuff.
How about a rare beyblade, or at least a Takara Tomy exclusive?
(Apr. 03, 2010  5:40 AM)SonicDaMan Wrote: How about a rare beyblade, or at least a Takara Tomy exclusive?

That would definitely be cool, but I would rather go for quantity first, rarity second in this case.
hey in indonesia we have new beyblade metal fight want to come
Well, Just throwing this out there so dun flame me for it Grin,
Maybe a Stamina Stadium with BB-70 or BB-65? You said low budget so...
Hybrid Wheel Reshuffles and Random boosters are great prizes IMO.

I don't know about the Stamina Stadium, but maybe something more interesting like the Super Attack? I don't think a lot of people have that. Hopefully I can get at least one stadium for each place, as was done in previous years.

Galaxy Pegasis will definitely be a part of the prizes. Ray Unicorno too.

Yeah, both of these would be great.
BTW, guys, this is just a suggestion but I would only use Attack and Balance BeyStadiums in this. Don't use Stamina, it was awful last year. Wide Square is too big for two players and Super Attack is broken as hell.
Presuming we have enough Attack and Balance dishes, then that would be a good idea.
Yeah, I definitely wasn't planning on using anything other than Attack and Balance during the tournament.
