BEYBLADE REVIVAL CUP
SATURDAY, MAY 29, 2010
Anime North 2010 @ Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel

Golden Delicious Room
STANDARD (MFB/BMF) FORMAT

9 AM - Free Battle and Set Up
10 AM - "Beyblade 101" Workshop
11 AM - Free Battle and Registration for Beyblade Revival Cup
12 PM - Beyblade Revival Cup Tournament

In 2008, we hosted the BEYBLADE'S NOT DEAD! tournament- which was planned well before we knew that just one short year later MFB would be launching in Japan. However, now the time has come for Bladers all across the nation to celebrate the launch of BEYBLADE: METAL FUSION in Canada! Thus, for the third year in a row we will be hosting our marquee event at ANIME NORTH 2010, hosted by ANGaming, this year under the title; BEYBLADE REVIVAL CUP!

No Beyblade? No problem! We're going to try to obtain Beyblades to bring with us so you'll be able to draft the parts to form a full Beyblade (for approx. $10), then you can play and trade with other Bladers before the tournament to hone your skills!

A Blader Passport is not required for this tournament, as AN does not allow event organizers to charge entry fees for events within the convention, however if you want to support the WBO so we can host even better tournaments, with even better prizes in the future, and also participate in our world ranking system, the BeyPoints System, then you will need one!

We encourage all Bladers, both the brand new and the old to attend! With Beyblade becoming mainstream again, this has the possibility of becoming the largest tournament we have ever hosted, which means that competition will be fiercer than ever! You don't want to miss it! Hope to see you there!

If you think you'll be able to come, please post here and I will start building an attendance list!

BEY MEET-UP - FRIDAY MAY 28TH
6pm @ Doubletree Lobby

For those of you who can make it on Friday, we're planning on having a small meet-up. It shouldn't be too hard to find us; stadiums will be strewn about the floor, and I'll try to get a BEYBLADE BATTLE STATION poster up.

If there is enough people, we could potentially have a single elimination tournament as well (don't want to complicate things for something small like that).

Need-to-Know Information

1. During Registration, Open Your Account Page

Open your account page on your mobile device (if possible) during registration to help us keep things quick.

2. Arrive On Time

You must arrive by the tournament start time to enter. We cannot add new players to an event once it begins. If you're running late, contact the host.

3. Stay Aware of Your Belongings

We do everything possible to ensure a safe environment, but can't be held responsible for lost or stolen goods. Keep your gear close by!

4. The Tournament Will Last At Least a Few Hours

This event is likely to last at least a few hours. If you can't commit to the entire tournament, you're welcome to come watch and play for fun instead!

5. Listen For Your Username To Be Called

Your name will be called when it's time for your next battle. If you need to leave early or take a break, tell a judge. Missing a match could mean disqualification!

6. Players Must Meet Regional Product Age Restrictions

All players in this event must meet the age restrictions on Beyblade products in their region. TAKARA-TOMY recommends Beyblade for ages 6+. Hasbro recommends Beyblade for ages 8+. Players under these ages may only participate with the permission of their parent/guardian.

7. Players Under 18 Must Be Accompanied by a Parent/Guardian

If you are under 18 years old, a parent/guardian must accompany you and be present for the duration of the event.

8. Contests, Raffles, Gambling, Betting, and Selling Are Prohibited

Advertising the sale of any product or service, as well as posting about any contest, raffle, gambling, or betting on this event page and conducting them at the event without approval by Fighting Spirits Inc. staff is prohibited. Please contact the Organized Play team if you require approval.

9. Terms of Service

All event attendees and users of this website are subject to our Terms of Service.

HELLO BEYFRIENDS

I AM EXCITE FOR RELEASE OF BEYBLADE: METAL FUSION IN CANADA. IF TAKARA-TOMY SUCCESS ANY INDICATOR, BEYBLADE: METAL FUSION IS SURE TO BE HIT. THIS TOURNAMENT IS SURE TO PUMP UP THE BLADERS OF CANADA FOR BEY ACTION !!

I AM NOT SO CONFIDENT IN HASBRO ORGANIZE PLAY RIGHT NOW BUT EVEN IF THEY DO NOT DO GOOD, IF TOURNAMENT LIKE THIS IS HELD LOTS OF TIME, THE TRUE COMPETITIVE SPIRITS OF BEYBLADE WILL NEVER DIE !!

GOOD LUCK AT THE BEYBLADE REVIVAL CUP WORLD BLADERS, AND REMEMBER ALWAYS WEAR YOUR BEYHEART ON YOUR SHOOT ARM !!

BLADER DJ

PS. I HOPE HASBRO HIRE ME
I'm there Cool

Wouldn't miss this for the world.
when you draft parts do you mean rent them?
No he means that it's completely random what parts you get.

5 different boxes each with their respective part (Faces it one, clear wheels in another etc.). A player reaches in and picks one piece from each box to build a beyblade. You own the beyblade, you just don't get to pick what parts you get.

No, you get to keep them! You get random parts from the assortment we gather, along with a winder + shooter.

edit: what Khel said
add my name to the list dammit!

EDIT: Just thought I'd through this out there that Beyblade War Room was the most fun I have ever had playing beyblade in all my 7 years in this hobby. You can't replicate this experience ever. You get to play a ton of matches and meet a lot of cool people.
I will definitely join the tournament if I make it to Anime North. I gotta somehow get a drive there from Ottawa and find a place to sleep.

BTW, will I be allowed to use a custom painted beyblade? (just for aesthetic reasonS)
custom painted as long as performance is not affected is allowed.
I can't wait to see the video release for this! Tongue_out

This, this, this, this, this!

This is essentially what the entire purpose of the WBO comes down to; connecting with people, and playing a game that we all love. These forums are great, but the events like this are what is at the core of the meaning of this website. It's a very raw experience, and I think that is something that cannot be replicated in any online environment.

If there is any possibility that you can come, don't think twice about it. You won't regret it! It's a lot of fun. Smile
Saving to come to AN! WOOTTTTTTTTT.
really looking forward to meeting and battling everyone Grin
I'm definitely coming to this.

EDIT: Spelling.
Dad, why did we not move to Canada...
YOSH!

I'll be there Smile

Gotta work on a combo though, I expect my current one will be banned for producing only extremely boring battles.
well Virgo is still an allowed part. Only Libra is banned. But new combos always keep the game fresh
I should be there. Provided I don't get lost within our city's transit system or something. Also gotta save up so that I can buy some Beys before hand, as well as the Blader's pass for 2010-2011, and the AN entrance fee, ugh, lol.

The first Blader Passport expires on June 1st, so luckily for everybody else (and unluckily for us haha), if you already bought one in the past year, you're still good for BRC!
Throw me on the "Possible" list.

It's nothing certain, but I'll be trying my hardest to get to it. Grin
AN'09 was incredible.

I know, but like a magazine subscription, I'd rather renew before my intial one expires.
Man I really want to come, and that drafting process sounds pretty cool.
Man, intense. This will probably be the first year I am not attending Unhappy Good luck!

BOOO!

Man that sucks, but I can understand why. It won't be the same without you.
