About the WBO

Tournament Style: This event will utilize Swiss format with a 32 player cap. In Swiss format, Bladers play 5 rounds. After the first round, bladers are paired based on their match history. Bladers with the highest records face each other, then the second-highest, etc. The top eight players advance to the final stage.

Tournament Format: The format for this event is Metal Fight Limited, which is a restricted part Metal Fight Beyblade format. Please read the rulebook prior to confirming your attendance to ensure that you or your child have the appropriate equipment to compete. Legal parts / launchers will not be lent out by event staff.

Ranked Clauses:
  • Libra Ban
  • Gravity Height Restriction: Gravity may not be used with tracks less than 120 height (105, DF105, LW105, 100, 90, 85)

Host: The Supreme One

Location: This event will be indoors at Brooklyn Zoo. Despite the name, this location is a Parkour Gym—not a Zoo. Some might remember this location as the site of the Beytuber Brawl back in 2018 or LazerBeamz Empire City tournament earlier this month. All tournament participants must Brooklyn Zoo's waiver in order to participate.

Time: Registration will begin at 11:00 AM and close at 11:30 AM. If you do not arrive at the scheduled start time, you risk being excluded from the tournament. The software we use to run our events–Challonge–does not allow us to add in extra participants once the tournament has started. Confirming your attendance on the WBO event page does not substitute for registration at the venue.

Other Information:
Please come prepared. It is helpful for both hosts and judges if all participants bring at least one Takara Tomy or Hasbro-manufactured Beyblade of their own and more than one launcher when possible. Additionally, parents of children under the age of 13 must be present for the duration of the event, as tournament end times can be difficult to estimate, and we would hate for someone to be left behind once it is over.

Apologies for my delayed reply! Shogun Steel beys are allowed as long as they aren't in synchrom form.

Hey gang! Please note: the tournament description has been updated to specify that we will be using two Ranked Clauses:
  • Libra Ban
  • Gravity Height Restriction
Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions! Open to including a Screw ban here as well if that's something folks are interested in.

Don’t even use screw but that would be unnecessary of a ban
Looking forward to tomorrow! As a reminder, registration will begin at 11am (when Brooklyn Zoo officially opens). Please plan to arrive between 11 and 11:30, as the tournament will begin immediately once registration has closed.

While it's always better to arrive on the earlier side, do note that the venue will not be open before 11am. See you all in 12 hours!
Hey guys I hope I’m not too late for the registration for the tournament

I’m in the bus see you soon
