Format: The format for this event is TEAM 3on3. Please read the RULEBOOK prior to confirming your attendance to ensure that you or your child have the appropriate equipment to compete. Legal parts / launchers will not be lent out by event staff.

Rules Overview:
  • Bladers form teams of three (no more, no less), with each team designating a captain that is responsible for informing judges of the team’s decisions in secret.
  • Before each match, the team has 2 minutes to determine the order in which they will play their sets, which is communicated to the judge by the team captain. Once both teams have done so, the judge announces the first set’s pairing and the match begins.
  • Sets are best-of-5 as usual, but individual match wins must be recorded. After all three sets are played, the team with the most cumulative battles won wins the match.
  • In the event of a tie, each team will select one blader to represent it in a tiebreaker match, which is told to the judge by the team captain.

Why is the player cap at 24 people when it says there will be 10 teams?

I know they tend to have 24 person caps for first-time organizers. Mike is not a first-time organizer, even under WBO. Mike.Nightwing please edit the tournament to indicate a maximum of 30 if there are going to be up to 10 teams!

Are you planning on coming down?

This would be may second WBO event, first ranked. I did put the 30 player cap in the description and it was approved with the 24 player cap. I don't see an option to change that but it doesn't really matter. If folks show up with a team I'll make space for them.
