I don't think the new launchers are compatible with MFB.

As I could see from the side of the new launcher, I think the parts where you attatch the beys are wider than the MFB. Maybe I'm wrong... Well, if it's a new gen, probably we'll get new launchers. It was the same when MFB comes out.
*sigh. I'm glad that BeyBlade is getting a rebirth but I'm not a fan of this upcoming series when it comes to the actual physical beyblade. Looks poorly put together.
Loving the global ranking idea, skeptical how accurate it will actually be and what measures are put in place to deter cheaters.

I'm psyched regardless I suppose.
I like the burst gimmick. Battles will be faster and more intense, not to mention that's another strategic aspect that will need to be considered when customising.

As awesome as this is, I'm really worried it won't do well. Beyblade is still fresh in people's minds, whether that's a good or bad thing, and if this doesn't go well, it'll probably be a long time before another series. If they had waited longer people might have been more excited about it.
Someone earlier in the thread — can't remember who, sorry! — mentioned that the burst mechanic could put an end to drawn-out Stamina battles, which is actually a really good point. Curious to see how it will work in those circumstances.

I dunno if anyone remembers, but we used a stamina stadium in the era when Libra was dominating the metagame and poor Spinster was the judge there. A battle in that stadium took at least 2 minutes per round and they were boring as hell. Awful.
CT ran pretty Stamina heavy when I was running tournaments. We had some pretty drawn out battles Smile
Will the beyblades explode 100% of the time? No more sleep outs? If so, that'll be strange, because it would basically make pure stamina types fairly useless, no?
Well, I like that the burst gimmick may prevent combos from being too unfair, battling will hopefully be fast and addicting as I can tell. I think if people knew and liked traditional top games, they may either like the twist this has or hate it.

I wish we could see how the bottoms of these Beys looked more, aside from the flat one on Valkyrie.
The Spriggan is literally based off a Spriggan

I know Giraton posted an explanation too, but I haven't seen Wikipedia links enough today.

Definitely, there will be a new manga first, and then the anime will come out several months later, as it is explained near the end of the first post in this topic and at the beginning of the Beywiki article on Beyblade Burst : http://wiki.worldbeyblade.org/index.php/Beyblade_Burst

For certain as soon as we have pictures of characters and other details, they will be posted on these forums in no time!

I believe it was at least Ashton Pinto, someone else may have mentioned it as well. But yeah, the Burst gimmick (although it doesn't happen 100% of the time) could make Stamina Battles more interesting. I wasn't around for that era obviously but I've seen enough Duo Dragooon SA165 B:D EWD RDF battles to relate.

And speaking of Dragooon, several people have speculated that you will need to hit the opponent a certain way (not just with enough force) to Burst them. Makes me kind of curious on how Left vs. Right spin matchups will play out.

Oh, and EDIT: I don't know if this is more important than TBR but surely it deserves some front page/latest news link?
Hm, similar to my first idea proposal and my second idea for a future series, but I feel like this series is "obsolete", not because of the designs and all, but rather because of the burst gimmick.

I honestly think that this series has no chance against any of the other series, not even weak plastics like the TOMY Tripiyo and wyborg. It would be a complete pain because it literally kills the point of a battle; the battle of two of the burst beyblades was as short as the spin time of duo (attack mode) gil m145 (very unbalanced mode) lrf, which is worse than storm Capricorn.

I honestly think that despite the nostalgia of the new gimmick, many battles will be disappointing because of their short lengths...

Without knowing any part names or anything, I can tell you the combo that will overpower everything:
•Layer
•Disk
•Driver

- any sharp-edged layer with edges like pegasis
- the disk that will probably be the defense-stamina part; or the one that keeps the beyblade connected the tightest and the most.
- the most aggressive driver.
Beyblades are not meant to battle against other generations though, and since we do not know what helps or keeps a Beyblade from exploding, you definitely cannot predict what parts would be top-tier already.
I think the gimmick is more fun based so it's fresh and chaotic than just being a competitive game.
If anyone has time on their hands and some mad translating skills, this is the official press release: http://www.takaratomy.co.jp/product_rele...150415.pdf

One of the cool things in there is a photo of the first blade from each generation side by side.

Also, interestingly enough, it now labels the blue bey on our banner a prototype of v http://beyblade.takaratomy.co.jp/

Yeah... I get that... but it defeats the purpose of last one standing wins... It's like a track race where you're able to trip the competitors... let's say the best runners get tripped by the slowest runner... that's my honest viewpoint of the burst mechanism...

All of the important information of that press release is already in this thread. The V also stands for Valkyrie, hence why we chose it for the banner.

The Way you said that, I'm imagining you as a Valkyrie. And do you think we might do another art contest for other beys in the series?
To add on, It isn't any solution to the attack problem; it makes it worse. the high amount of energy in the hit of an attack type is literally just as lethal as any other generation, but in a different way... It would probably hit the opponent hard enough that it explodes on first hit. I know it's quite early to make those predictions, but on the long run, attack types will be bursted by defense (until you have the wyvang wyvang w145 rf of that generation) defense will be bursted by stamina (until the BGrin of that generation is introduced, and attack will probably stadium out stamina (until someone finds a clever way to use an attack layer on a stamina bey)
Shh, hah.

To stay on topic, here is a bigger and closer picture of the BeyLauncher, I suppose :

Wow, I haven't comment in this thread yet... Here I go:

I feel like this was released a little too early. While we all are fairly/relatively happy about Beyblade's, I don't think the hype was built up enough for everybody else. I feel like if they waited a year more, it would of been good for all of us; return of beyblade+longer time for hype=happy everybody.

About the burst gimmick, I think it's ok, and has it is said above, it does end long stamina battles which I'm happy about! I do feel like they will still have a use, but seeing as they do, hence the name, burst, I feel like they would not be great choices and end up having matches where attack types that would never hit each other... But let's see, hopefully defense ones will have the (whatever controls the burst) more resistant so we can have somewhat-lasting battles. Although, as much as I like the fact the faster battles and all, I feel like it would ruin the intensity of battles that Beyblade is great for. But hey, let's see where this goes.

One thing about the B-5 to B-7 boosters is why Valkyrie isn't included in there... That is the one things I'm wondering about why they would release Valkyrie Spread Survive (what would be the booster(also, I would take a shot in the dark and say the color could possibly be green))..?

The look of the launchers (string and ripcord) both look pretty decent, but the launcher grip is probably the best looking out of them all. One thing about the launcher grip which concerns me is how the BeyLogger goes off the grip a little (not sure if it was for the ripcord or string..), and I don't see how a grip extension would work.. But let's see Takara-Tomy work their Beyspirit magic ^O^
Well the longer you hype it the more people expect and the more disappointing something can get when it's not good.

I predict that the parts that will become top-tier will, in fact, become top tier.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm curious as to what the launcher prongs look like. I want to know if it will be the same as MFB, or something new. It would certainly be cool if the launchers were backwards compatible.

The new launcher prongs are definitely incompatible.

You can see how the Beyblade Burst attachment system to the launcher prongs is similar to the way plastics launchers work in some of the demo videos, where the Beyblade is simply "stuck" onto the launcher.

Same here, though, I'd rather wait to test that first theory. Wink
