Time:
The tournament itself will start at 12:00pm, so as a guide, aim to arrive for 11:30am. The Tube and public transport services are not very reliable, so plan your journey well in advance.

Location:
Regent's Park. We shall be at the Bandstand as always, but in case of congestion, we may relocate to the smaller shelter on the way to the Ready Money Drinking Fountain. Please check this thread on the day for updates or like us on Facebook for any quick location updates.

Directions:
Here is a map of Regent's Park. Click on the tab labelled "Monuments, Fountains and Statues". Head to the area marked Bandstand or in some cases, head to the Ready Money Drinking Fountain. We suggest taking the London Underground or Bus to Baker Street.

Prizes:
Ordered! Just gotta make sure they arrive on time...

Hosts and Judges:
This tournament is being hosted by ~Mana~, with Syphon serving as co-host. If you have any queries about the event, feel free to PM us or post in the thread and we'll be happy to help!

Important Advice:
Despite being around friends and rivals, please remember we are in a public park. Bad behaviour and swearing will not be tolerated and will result in a ban from future events. Please keep your personal belongings with you or in a safe place while at the bandstand. If you see any personal items left around with no apparent owner, please hand it in to a judge, so we can return it to its rightful owner. Your cooperation is much appreciated.

Remember to turn up on time. If you arrive later than 12:10pm, your place will be forfeit and you will not be able to participate. If you know you'll be late, please let us know via PM or a post in-thread!

Spread the Word!
Are you as excited about the festivities as we are?! If so, be sure to tell your friends about it! And if you haven't already, follow us on Twitter and like us on Facebook!

Any idea how late? We don't want to be starting too late, haha.
Hi I'm new and this is going to be my first tournament
Hopefully I can win (fingers crossed)
Does anyone know if it's going to be a round robin or knock-out

You mean Single Elimination? We try to never use that format since it is unfair, plus it would only be used if there were a hundred participants or more.

Oh ok just wondering Smile
A reminder in case anyone forgot; the tournament is this Saturday! The weather forecast is looking a bit mixed at the moment, but it's sure to be a cold and cloudy day so make sure you're wrapping up warm for the event.

I'll be preparing our Challonge page in the coming days, so please ensure that you've clicked that "Join Tournament" button if you're attending the tournament; it helps me to prepare in advance and know what numbers to expect on the day! As it currently stands, it looks like we'll be doing a Group Round Robin event (a first for London?), so who knows who you'll end up facing in your group...

Looking forward to seeing you all on Saturday! It'll be a blast! Grin

hey dude

me and son are coming but ive never bin there before, when i get out of the station which direction am i going to get there? looked at the map but not to sure
I've just noticed that you've got the co-host as 'unknown other'. That makes everything sound so dark and mysterious XD

You do a right, then you do a right again. Then you walk forward for a bit. If you walk past the Sherlock Museum you're going the right way!

Assuming you're leaving via Baker's Street station, head down the road past the Sherlock Museum. Regent's Park is the park in front of you, so use the crossing to get to the park. Head over the bridge on your right as you enter the park and towards the bandstand on your left-hand side!

I'll PM you my phone number in case you get lost, but hopefully you shouldn't have any issues. I managed to find it on my first time there, despite having never seen the area before and being reasonably useless at navigating Tongue_out

Well, it did say Ben but he's had to cancel. So at the moment, there isn't actually a co-host yet. Are you volunteering? Wink
Pretty much yeah Tongue_out
thanks for the directions dudes

I hate to tell yah, my play style has changed completely since we last faced off ;)
Can't wait for tomorrow, not long now. I've got all my beyblades ready for the tournament and I'm so excited !!!!
It's going to be a mad one! The weather report says that we shouldn't be expecting rain, but I would advise bringing along a jacket just in case anyway! This looks to be the biggest tournament since Burst came onto the scene, so it should be really interesting to see who shows up tomorrow! Can't wait to see you all Joyful_3
Still up and excited ! See you all later today !!!!
Yup! Forecast looks to be holding out, so we should be a-okay for tomorrow!

A slight change though; for the sake of tournament prizes being a thing tomorrow, I'm delaying the start of the tournament from 12pm until 1pm. You're more than welcome to show up at the normal time, though I can't promise that anyone will be there then. I just need that extra hour in the morning to pick up the prize package from the delivery depot (missed the delivery today!), so I apologise for the last minute change!

A reminder; @[Syphon], @[Balance Blader] - are you both still okay for bringing stadiums with you? As we're doing Block Round Robin, we need a minimum of two, but the more the merrier, and dragging a stadium with me halfway across the country is uh...not optimal, haha.

Otherwise, I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow!

I'll be bringing my two stadiums along, no worries!
Not long now can't wait to see all you guys there
Likewise! Just got on my train there now, and collected our prizes for today as well! Providing there's no delays on the tracks, I shall be there for 12:30ish!
I'm here now but there are some people doing judo in the bandstand????

Hey dude, I'm also here. Where about stuff are you?
Those poor Judo guys, haha. Don't worry, they've gotten pretty used to us asking to share space with them by this point Tongue_out

My train has just arrived at Paddington, so I'll be there asap. Remember guys, 1pm start now!
