“What’s the matter?†asked Habisaki.
“Oh, nothing†said Takasu. He didn’t want to answer.
“I know something’s on your mind, Takasu,†said Habisaki, “just tell me; is it about your parents again?â€
Takasu's life has always been hard. Ever since he was a mouseling, he has been dismayed at the thought of his mother being muredered. She was killed by Coridite Doni, who hasn't been caught by police yet. It has been 10 long years, and Takasu hasn't forgotten. Flashbacks ran though his mind, so vivid, so real. He remebered the night; it was rayless. He remembered screaming, with was then cut off. He remembered the crimson red blood, dripping onto the ground. He remembered how he felt; he was nebulous, yet still he was frozen in fear, so helpless, unable to to anything to stop the horrible moment. Takasu blinked, and the lifelike images dissolved from mind, and they sunk to the bottom of his memories. But it wont be long before they find a way to float right back up from the immeasurable ocean of memories. It has been 10 long years, and Takasu hasn’t forgotten.
After his mother’s death, his father left him to the orphanage in New York City. He met his two best friend there; Habisaki and Zutaku. And surprisingly, they all share a star shaped mark on their arms.
“Yes, it is†said Takasu. Flash backs floated into his mind. Screaming, which was then cut off. He remembered watching the crimson red blood of his mother, which dripped onto the floor. He remembered being so frozen in fear; so helpless and unable to do anything.
Takasu blinked, and the images of his terrorizing were swallowed by his vast ocean of memories. All he could do now is live with his friends.
Zutaku jumped out of nowhere, interrupting Takasu and Habisaki’s conversation. He was jumping around the blacktop like a 3 year old that was on a sugar rush.
“What the heck are you doing?†said Habisaki, confused and weirded out.
“Have you heard the new?†he said excitedly.
“What news?†said Takasu as he began to wonder what in the world this “news†could have been.
“Mr. Handes says we are going to travel the world now! And by ourselves! He’s paid for the tickets, gave us a $5,000 budget, and everything!†squeaked Zutaku.
Takasu’s mouth dropped open as he thought of the places they could go. They were always in boring New York City, where everything is the same every day, all the time. He also hated the amount of time he had to wait until the cars would stop honking and the people to stop shouting, just to get some decent sleep. Finally, they could travel the world.
“Sounds exciting,†said Takasu, “We can finally get out of this place.â€
His friends nodded their heads in agreement.
“Where are we going?†asked Habisaki.
“We are going to Japan!†said Zutaku.
“Japan!†shouted Takasu, unable to keep all the excitement in.
“Oh! I like that place! I can buy clothes!†said Habisaki.
“I will never understand girl†whispered Zutaku into Takasu’s ear. “Also, we’re going tomorrow!â€
“Well, let’s get packing!†said Takasu.
The mice ran into the orphanage and into their dorm.
*****
“Wake up Zutaku!†said Takasu and Habisaki in harmony.
“I know what to do!†said Takasu. He ran to the sink and cupped water in in paws. He gave off a little evil laugh, and carefully, he walked back to the bed. He dumped the water onto Zutaku’s face.
He wailed and quickly got up. “That, was unacceptable†said Zutaku, trying to sound serious.
“You don’t intimidate us†said Habisaki, “Anyways, we have to hurry. It’s 5:00 AM. We need to get to the airport at 6:00 AM. Hurry!â€
The mice ran around the dorm, trying to get everything they need for the trip. When they got everything, they rushed down stairs and through the front door. Mr. Handes was waiting for them. “Right this way†said Mr. Handes as he guided them to the yellow taxi. He helped them with their bags and got them into the trunk of the taxi.
“Goodbye!†said Mr. Handes as the mice into the taxi. They waved back as the taxi wove around traffic.
*****
“Okay. It’s 5:21 AM. Can we make it to the airport by 6:00 AM, sir?†Takasu asked.
“Yes. I think so. The estimated time we will get to the airport at… about 5:40 AM†The driver replied.
At just about 5:40 AM, the taxi pulled up to the airport’s entrance.
“Here you go†said the driver, “You want me to help?â€
“Yes, please†said Habisaki politely.
The driver got out with the mice and went to the trunk. He lifted the luggage out for them and they paid for driving. The taxi drove away.
The mice began to walk into the airport, where they were overwhelmed in its size.
“The flight to Tokyo, Japan, will begin boarding now†said the speaker.
“We have to hurry!†said Habisaki. The mice began to rush to the door labeled “Tokyo, Japan.†On the way, Takasu bumped into an old mouse, who dropped his bags.
“I’m so sorry†said Takasu as he began to pick the bags up for him.
“You and your friends share the same markings†he rasped. “You all posses the power of The 5 Points. Take this scroll, and keep it safe.†He placed the small, ancient looking scroll in Takasu’s paws.
“Thanks, I guess…†said Takasu, who didn’t have time to ask any questions about this “Power of the 5 Points.â€

Takasu boarded the plane, just in time.
“What’s that?†asked Zutaku as he took out some chips.
“It’s a scroll. An old mouse gave it to me. He says we posses the Power of the 5 Points†replied Takasu. He sat down. He began unraveling the scroll.
“No! It might be a bomb!†squeaked Zutaku.
“The sensors didn’t detect it. This shouldn’t be dangerous…†said Takasu. He started to unravel it again, and the three mice’s marks began to glow.
“Close it! We don’t want to draw attention to ourselves†said Habisaki as she began to motion Takasu to close it. Obeying, Thinking it was a logical thing to do, he rolled it back together and placed it at the bottom of his bag.
“Want one?†asked Zutaku as he pushed his bag towards Zutaku.
*****
20 hours passed, and the mice were at their destination.
“Wha?... Where are we?†said Takasu, half asleep.
“We have reached destination Japan. Please wait patiently as the airplane makes its way to the station. Thank you for your cooperation†said the pilot.
“Oh, yeah, we’re in Japan. What time is it, anyways?†asked Habisaki.
“My phone automatically synchronizes. Let me check†said Takasu as he took out is black colored cell phone. “It is… 4:56 AM.â€
“So, early…†groaned Zutaku. He was still tired, not different from the rest of the passengers on board.
Takasu looked out the window, and he could see bright lights in the horizon. “Well, the plane stopped moving, so we should be able to get of now…â€
*****
The mice got up and started to make their way to the exit door of the airplane. They met face to face with a challenge. They didn’t know what the Japanese words meant.
“How are we gonna get out of this place! We don’t know Japanese!†said Zutaku, who started to panic.
“You don’t see the English? Your blind†said Habisaki, joking.
“Okay, lets break the conversation there. We don’t want to start an argument. Anyways, we have to get to our hotel. I have the address here†said Takasu. He pulled out a piece of paper. “Now, let’s go outside a catch a taxi.â€
The mice made their way outside. The mice waited for a moment, and they saw a taxi driving towards them. They waved. The taxi pulled over and the mice got in.
“We need to go here†said Habisaki as she showed the driver the address.
“Okay†said the driver with an accent. The taxi began moving, and the mice watched intently out the window. Cars everywhere, kids playing with tops and cards, giant TVs, endless amounts of technology. The mice were amazed by what they saw. Habisaki spied the clothing store, while Zutaku stared at the restaurants with is mouth watering. Takasu looked at the manga store. “So many books†he thought.
The taxi pulled over next to a tall building and stopped.
“Here†said the driver. He got out and helped the mice with their bags. Zutaku got out the money (which was already converted to yen) and paid the driver. He said “Thank you,†got into his taxi, and drove away. The mice began their way into the hotel as they dragged their bags behind them.
Habisaki ran up and opened the door. Takasu and Zutaku ran in. The hotel was a luxurious place. The staircase was carved out of wood; paintings hug on the wall; the floor was abnormally clean. The mice gasped at the scene. A male mouse walked towards them. “You must be the American mice we were expecting†he said. “Here are you keys to your room, 10J. The elevators are to your right. I hope you have a great time in Japan.†He bowed. The mice did the same. Then, they walked to the elevator and got on.
“Good thing he spoke English. I wouldn’t know what to do if he didn’t†said Takasu.
The three mice got out of the elevator, and the door closed behind them. The walked until they found 10J. Zutaku took out the keys and opened the door, and the others came in.
The room was beautiful. It had a flat screen, a large bed, a bathroom, a closet, and, most importantly, a great view! The mice dropped their bags and dropped onto the bed. Takasu turned on the TV, and his favorite anime show was on.
“How do you understand this?†asked Zutaku. “It’s all in Japanese!â€
“I don’t listen. I watch†said Takasu.
