Welcome to the Socal Challenger at San Diego BBX Tournament!

This is a huge collaboration initiated by one SoCals finest organizers, Jamcobs! With the announcement of the Beyblade x World Championship 2025, we have put together 5 regional qualifiers that leads into the main event in June. The Grand Prize? It's a travel ticket to help you get to the Beyblade X World Qualifier for North America!

Depending on participation the number of tickets to the next event is between 8 - 16. We do require prior to signing up to have partaken in at least 3 SoCal Events in the past year.

Tournament Format

The format will be Beyblade X, played exclusively on Takara Tomy Xtreme stadiums with stands near equivalent to official measurements.

First stage being 5 Round Swiss 3on3, 4 points
Final stage will be Single Elimination 3on3, 4 points

64 Player Cap
Top 16 Players Advance to Single Elimination. (Top 16 will receive an Invitation Jamcobs Event)  

32 Player Cap
Top 8 Players Advance to Single Elimination. (Top 8 will receive an Invitation to Jamcobs Event)

Please be advised that this tournament will make use of the following Clauses:

Own Finish ACTIVE

• When you score an Xtreme finish or over finish against a Bey that did not touch your Bey during the battle, full points will be given.
  
• This also Includes direct to pocket launches that did not touch the stadium floor.
  
  

No disassembled components

• Parts that have been disassembled in a way not intended by the manufacturer (e.g. removing screws or separating ratchets) cannot be used.
  
• You will be required to verify which release your specific rachet is from. They will cross referenced with [Beyblade X Available Colors Google Doc]
  
  

No painted parts

• Parts cannot be painted or coated. Small markings in the designated areas are still permitted.
  
  

No 3RD party launcher attachments

• No Unofficial attachments to your launcher. This means no Slip Grips, levels, Lazer pointers, 3D printed grips, ETC. Takara Tomy does not allow these so we must get used to these conditions.
  
  

Limited Stickers

• Official Stickers and placement Only.

Additional Prizing
We will be providing Tabletop Tavern store credit distributed to top 4. 100% of entry fees to this event till be turned into store credit for this tournament's participants. 
1st place: 40% of the prize pool in store credit
2nd place: 25% of the prize pool in store credit
3rd place: 20% of the prize pool in store credit
4th place: 15% of the prize pool in store credit

If we get an insane turnout of 16 or more, instead we will do a cut to top 8 and distribute store credit as such:
1st place: 30% of the prize pool in store credit
2nd place: 20% of the prize pool in store credit
3-4th place: 15% of the prize pool in store credit
5-8th place: 5% of the prize pool in store credit

Note: Alternatively you can take 80% of your earnings as Cash.

Location and Time:

This event will take place within Tabletop Tavern's play space at 3:00PM [03MAY25]

Refer to the above map to know where to find the building.

DO NOT park in the front businesses parking. I Recommend you park on the nearby street, E Rienstra St. In the case that all parking near the Card Shop is taken.

Please make sure to arrive on time. Take into account possible traffic if you are traveling on the freeway. Please be sure to make a WBO account and signup ahead of time! We cannot take extremely late signups, however free play will be more than welcome for anyone to join!

Our check in period is 2:30pm-3:00pm. Tournament starts at 3:30pm in the latest. 

Expect this tournament to last up to 5 hours.

Venue Fee: $5

Takara Tomy Stadiums will be provided for players to complete their matches. If you as a participant owns a Takara Tomy Stadium, we ask that you please help us out and bring your stadium. The more we have the better. Our tournaments are nothing without our community.
