Hi everyone! This is the official thread for The Dual Duel - 2011's last outdoor tournament in Martin Luther King Jr. Park - on Sunday, October 16. (We will move indoors beginning in November)

Start time: Noon-thirty
Format: 2 Block Round Robin tournaments in BB-10 attack stadiums, to occur simultaneously or sequentially depending on number of attendees (NO double elimination!)
Surface: Grass!
Fees: Standard WBO fees ($5 entry fee or free with a Blader Passport)
Prizes: Pool of (1) Random Booster v8 and (2) Random Booster v7s
1st place gets first pick plus a MF-H (NIB)
2nd place gets second pick
3rd place gets third pick

Alright, now that's a good question.
My hope is that we will have short, mostly dead and dry grass to play on in the usual spot. If the ground or grass is wet, or if it is raining, or if the forecast is calling for rain with a high probability, then we will blade under the pavilion.
If you recall from the last time we bladed under the pavilion, the blankets worked very well in preventing beyblades from jumping onto the concrete. So while I know we all prefer to blade under the open sky (or at least some of us do) our back up plan will keep us blading if the weather is bad.

Yes, you should bring a stadium for free play. I will have enough for the tournament, but there's a lot of blading that happens off of the official tournament floor!
BTW, I'm getting ready to do an order for the tournament tonight. So if you were planning on asking me to order something, now would be the time!

Make sure that you test it against the strongest aspects of all types, attack, defense, stamina,and balance. Then you can tell how it can deal with cert ant types, I didn't do that and I got clobbered , but I am sure that you already know to do this, I am just trying to us all out. XD
