The Solstice Scimitar

Hi everyone! This is the official thread for The Solstice Scimitar - being held in the Mid-Atlantic's favorite Beyblade venue, Martin Luther King Jr. Park - on Saturday, June 30 in Silver Spring, MD. Yes, I know that it's actually 10 days after the summer solstice - but it's pretty close! Smile

*Please note that this is a standard MFB tournament that will be played in BB-10 Stadiums.

Metal Fight Beyblade ZERO-G products are now legal for use in officially sanctioned WBO tournaments! Synchrom too! So bring your Ifraids, Saramandas, Pirates and Revizers, and keep the metagame moving forward!

I will have all of the Zero-G products for sale at the tournament as well as having at least 1 Zero-G attack stadium and 1 Zero-G Defense stadium out and available for people to try out! Its the wave of the future, so get ready for Zero-G!!!

If you do come, then Arupaeo will add your name to the attendees list on the attendance paper. So ultimately its fine if you don't confirm.

Many people like to bring at least 1 bey of each type (attack, defense, stamina, balance) so that they have options as to what they will use.

Alright! I've updated the OP with everyone's information and think everything is up to date now. 14 is a super small list for us, so if you've been looking for a breakthrough moment to take home some hardware (Gold, Silver or Bronze) this is definitely it! (I'm looking at you Tech!)

With a group this size we would do block round robin with the top 2-3 finishers in each block moving to the finals- which would be a nice change of pace for us after having so many mega-sized tournaments.

That's not a promise though, because we might get more people than that and might run more than 2 blocks or move to the Swiss format for larger fields. In any event, I'm fired up for this tourney and looking forward to seeing you all there!

PS - The next 2 tournaments will be on July 22, and August 12. I'll put the threads up after each subsequent event, but wanted to give you the rest of the summer schedule now so that you can know what's up!
can't go on july I be back late from ny I do not know about august either were leaving that day or not
OMGBBGOMGBBG
I am so in this to win this now.
Hey guys!Tongue_out I live in Chesapeake, Virginia but thought it would be awesome to compete in a Maryland tournament at least once this summer. Any ideas for the next Maryland tournament? If so than you can put me down as a maybe.Wink
bigbang Aries The next two tourneys are on July 22 and August 12

@ Tech No one can beat my Duo Ca...hey! Are you trying to provoke me to tell my combo?! Anyways, I am also in it to win it!
Oh, please. Arupaeo and Galaxy both know what I used to beat him and get into the finals in April.

More on topic, will we be okay with only 2 (maybe 3 if geetster is counted) judges?

Oh Yeah How Old Do U Have To Be To Judge?
PM Arupaeo and he'll ask you a few questions to test your eligibility.

I think that you should probably attend 2-3 more tournaments before you try, since you've only been to one, but hey, if you want, give it a shot. I started judging at my 3rd tournament.
