Mandatory $5 Entry Fee = More Qualifiers + Extra Credits + Free Face Booster!
To help subsidize the high cost of flying/busing the qualifiers to Toronto, a mandatory $5 entry fee will be imposed on all Qualifier Series tournaments, regardless of whether or not a participant has a Blader Passport (if you wish to purchase a Blader Passport, the total cost would be $15 at a Qualifier Series tournament), and there will be no prize reimbursement apart from the travel expenses for the winner. We hope that everyone can understand this! The more funds we have, the bigger this championship will be! However, to show our appreciation for your cooperation and support in helping to fund the championship, all participants in Qualifier Series tournaments will receive the following:

What can I win?
The winner of this qualifier will receive the following:
  • Paid travel expenses, by plane/bus/public transit (if necessary, and whichever is cheapest) to ANIME NORTH 2014 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada for GRAND BATTLE TOURNAMENT 2.
  • An ANIME NORTH 2014 Pass
Qualifiers will be responsible for finding/paying for accommodations in Toronto, but we will work closely with each of you to make sure that you find somewhere suitable. Additionally, the winner will be required to consult with the Committee before booking their flight/bus, and then after approval, provide a booking confirmation to the WBO Committee before they can provide reimbursement for the traveling costs. We can also reimburse gas costs, but in that case, reimbursement will only take place in person after we have received gas receipts. If you are local to Toronto and plan on taking public transit to the venue for GRAND BATTLE TOURNAMENT 2, then you will simply have to present transfers to us when you arrive.

Well if its a light rain, there is a pavilion that we could hide under.

Isn't it supposed to be amazing weather on Sunday?
No, there is a 30% chance of rain, highs in the mid-50s. But yeah we have a pavilion we can play under.
can we just play under the pavilion no matter what. I don't think it would be fair to have a match decided by what stadium you play on and if the ground being uneven
The only issue is when stuff gets KO'd, even with the towels tips and wheels can still get wrecked.

I hear you geetster. I'm going to see what I can do about making sure that the stadiums are all level on the grass. The iphone has a digital bubble level that we can use to check in 2 axis. If we have to move a bit farther away from the pavillion to find spots that are good and flat, then that's what we have to do. And if the flat spots are more wet (where ever they are) then we just have to deal with wet knees. I'ts important to have level stadiums.

Unfortunately, the cement under the pavillion isn't perfectly level either - and Time makes an excellent point about people's beys getting thrashed by the concrete after they get knocked out. It just isn't a good option for the BB-10.

In other news, 20 people signed up is a great number! I'm totally stoked for Sunday!
its also most likely going to rain the day before so unless everyone is cool with sitting in the mud we'll probably be under the pavilion anyway
yeah things lookin bad for me this time -__-
im probably not goin but who knows have fun guys
Unconfirm me. I can't come because of last minute plans. Have fun to those going! Know I would do anything to trade spots with you now.
Good luck to everybody tomorrow!
Is it still on
Yeah, we'll just play under the pavilion.

Hopefully the rain doesn't deter people from coming!
Wont be able to make it this time. Hopefully I'll come to the next one.
Well ppl todays is the day.

Oh yes, it's on!
Will we be playing under the pavilion?
I don't think I can make it today, guys. I don't have a ride anymore.

Since when does that happen Tech?!?!
My parents can't, and idk if Dakota can. I haven't missed anything since my first tournament in August '11, so you can already assume how disappointed I am.

Just a few people. We still have 16 registered - and more will come, I'm sure of it! Smile
Cancellations are 'fine' normally, but you cannot just say you will come to a next tournament in April : this is the qualifier guys, there is no second chance.
