Shooting Techniques

NEW ARTICLE!: Gattyaki

Wrote this up just now, any suggestions?

Also, this thread can be used for all of the shooting technique articles that need to be written.
i use as custom grip shooter an an extended ripcord and i firmly grip the shooter and launch the blade without moving the shooter so the blade lands where i want it to

That would be a basic straight shoot. It's the most basic shoot you can perform. It's a defense/survival shoot. Like to do that with an attack type serves no real purpose. Using Catapult or Sliding or even Gliding Shoot is the way to go there.
Where i can found how to perform this shoots?

You mean Gattyaki? Just read the article!
No the other Shoots like the sliding, gliding and catapult and when it have the others... Grin

Well, hopefully someone can write articles for those! I might write one for the sliding shot soon.
Does Tyson's launch actually work, I haven't perfected it.?

What are you talking about ...?

I'll be doing the article for Sliding Shoot soon.
The launch where you take your launcher [when it's loaded] then turn it upside down. Then when given the signal to launch, spin the launcher and pull the ripcord. Does anyone know how to perfect this.

(Oh and, Bey Brad, Can you please stop being so mean to me? Please)

this is from a cartoon show and is an absolutely terrible launch to use
i've bin practising alot with the angles and forces behind a launch as i think it's the las bit of help you can give ya blade before it's outta your hands. I ve been finding that the launch technique appears to benefit someblades than others, i don't mean just the different shooters you can have but there seems to be beneficial angles in how you launch your beyblade into the stadium e.g. slightly tilted towards yor self or away or to the side.
i've also bin experimenting with the distance you are from the stadium when you launch and that effect on the blade9angle has a huge effect on this too), it's taking a bit of practise but i can nearly get it to stay in the stadium at a perfect launch from standing up and bak from the stadium.

p.S does anyone know if theres regulation to how far away you can stand from the stadium when launching, coz i figured that if you can master standing bak and away from the stadium then your beyblade is likely to land in the stadium last and land or or at least hit hard the apposing blade.

It's the only help you can give your Beyblade ... aside from building it ...

As far as I know there is no official regulation, but you do have to be kneeling on the floor and I'd say any more than a foot isn't going to be allowed.

Only in the giant finals stadium where you stand on a podium. I'm guessing nobody here owns one of those.

Hmm local tournaments set up all stadiums on small stands. They're just the right height for kids to stand up and shoot, but older players have to bend down quite a bit. If we kneel it'll be too high, if we stand it's too low......

That's under "banking" and "sliding"

The problem with this is that it also makes it easy for the opponent to hit you out if the opponent is an attack type (or defence, actually)
Obviously I am going by Takara regulation, where you are supposed to kneel. It even says not to stand in the instruction books.
Bey Brad Wrote:Obviously I am going by Takara regulation, where you are supposed to kneel. It even says not to stand in the instruction books.

and it tells u how far to kneel too and it is illegal to stand
IIRC, it says how far to hold your hands up from the stadium, not how far to kneel, which is not an official rule, just a safety instruction.
ya it also shows a round thing around the stadium in the instructions im still wondering wat that is
That is the stadium guard. It's for safety reasons, but I don't think anyone uses it. It seriously impedes the use of launch techniques.
Is it legal to put the blade so much you can on the arena that he jumped a little bit?
red_eyes Wrote:Is it legal to put the blade so much you can on the arena that he jumped a little bit?

I think you mean:

Is it legal to push the Beyblade down on the stadium so hard it jumps? Yes.
I remember on of the launch technique i used back in the day, i didn't have a name for it but if i where to give it a name it'd be called the "Izuna/Thunder Drop" Or "Suicide/Death Drop".
This is how my shot was performed:

1. Bowl your head and stomach forward as if your about to get in a boxing stance.

2. Ball your fists up and place them on the center of your forehead directly next to each other (knuckles touching with fingers facing down) and extend your arms up as if your about to fight. You can tell if your doing this right because if you look at your shadow you will see a giant eye symbol with your face acting as the pupil.

3.Now position your fists approximately 4-5 inches away from your forehead this is the position you will use before you launch your blade. Now grab your blade, prep it to your launcher with the ripcord in place and get back into position! (During instruction #4 remember to keep your blade as straight forward as possible and Not on any angles)

4. Launch your blade while pulling your body back to its original position and extending both your arms out at the same time. During the launch slightly elevate the blade upwards about 1-2 inches; directly before the blade is released from the launch push it slightly forwards about 2-4 inches (very gently), the blade should stay elevated in the air for about a second or two before spiraling downwards toward the stadium floor.

When your blade hits the stadium floor it should bounce and then make a very loud "Roar" noise(depends on type of blade)while standing in place before wildly thrashing the stadium at very high speeds, if your blade successfully comes into contact with the opponents blade during this time expect the other blade to get sent flying out of the ring or for it to break apart as this is whats most likely to happen, however if your blade fails to hit then expect a loss as this launch uses up almost all of your blades energy/spin.
