About the WBO

On the day of the tournament, the check-in period will be between 1:30PM to 2:00PM. During this time, come find me so you can check-in. You will not be able to enter the tournament after we begin the tournament at 2:00PM.

This tournament will be using the X Format rulebook. The rulebook can be found here:

Beyblade X Rulebook

The event will be Ranked Swiss. The First Stage of this tournament will be played using the 3on3 Match Type. The Final Stage will be played using Deck Match Type.

Registration & Participant Limit (28)
  • The maximum amount of Bladers is capped at 28. You will not be able to join if the tournament is full.
  • If you are certain that you can make it, click the blue JOIN TOURNAMENT button at the top of this page to register and confirm your spot. 
  • If you need to withdraw, click the UNJOIN/LEAVE TOURNAMENT button.
  • If you need to withdraw last minute, post in this thread as well.
  • Any players who sign up for the event and do not show up without any prior notice will receive a warning in accordance with our Community Rules.

Location

We will be playing indoors in the Program Room of the Burnaby Public Library Metrotown Branch. There will be seats and tables for resting. If you have any questions about the location, time, or date, feel free to post about it below. 

Any updates to the location or rescheduling will be posted by me on the morning-of, at the latest. If you see nothing posted to the contrary, assume everything is continuing as outlined here.

Hello everybody,

I've been receiving many messages asking if they can be added to this event past cap. As always, the cap is to ensure we have enough time and space for all Bladers and anyone accompanying them, like friends and parents. Increasing the number of Bladers also increases the number of matches, and we cannot go over a cap, to ensure we have enough Judges and time to finish comfortably in the 3 hours of time we have alloted to us.


The waitlist for this event is currently at 22 16 Bladers.


January 24th: Cap increased from 24 to 28. 4 waitlisted Bladers have been added.

January 26th: 2 Bladers have dropped. 2 waitlisted Bladers have been added.

Hey everybody,

For this tournament we'll be testing some changes to adhere closer to Takara Tomy's official B4 rules. These include:
  • Own Finish no longer being a thing. This means no contact will result in 2 pt Over or 3 pt Xtreme Finish, regardless.
  • Out-of-bounds (flying out of the stadium through the top) will not count as an Over Finish, but rather as a replay with the same Beyblades.


Also to reiterate 2 issues I've seen popping up: Burst Finish happens when the Bit/Ratchet separates from the Beyblade. A Bit popping out is not a Burst Finish, it must completely fly off the other parts. The Burst Finish occurs when the parts separate, and an Over/Xtreme Finish occurs when they cross into the Over/Xtreme Zones. To my Judges and spectators - if it is too close to call, it should be a tie.
