Love the way you think you are hot stuff. People start somewhere and if you want a community to grow you should be encouraging not be condescending to people. When was the last time you won a tournament? You always post stuff thats not even pertaining to the thread. Big whoop you aren't coming they can and have managed without you .Just seems like you just wanted to point out the other kid's excitement.

if each block is at most 8 people. then we'd need 4 stadiums to do one whole block at a time. so we'll need at least 4 stadiums, obviously. then like 5-6 judges ideally, so we have a judge even when other judges are judging. . . . judge.

i doubt we'd be able to do 2 whole blocks at once.
and maybe i'm just being too paranoid, but i'm thinking we'll get at least 24 people.

Well, allow me to be the voice of hope!

Let's say that we get 24 people. that would be 3 blocks of 8 people. Each block battles 7 times on the four stadiums for a total of 21 rounds before the finals. In the last tournament we had 34 rounds on four/five stadiums before the playoffs. That gives us 13 less rounds than last time, which should equal significantly less time.

Now lets go crazy... ToyWiz has really fired up the DC area and 50 people show up. Using a double elimination format, the tournament would end up having 29 rounds on the four stadiums - still less than last time, and there are no extra playoff matches. And 40 people (to pick a slightly more reasonable number) would only be 24 rounds in double elimination.

So, here's to hoping for a good turnout! (But not more than 50 people...)
