Maybe the Cop Cot will work.
A what?
There's no roof on that...
Darn,I'll keep looking
I'll be attending this.
That's brilliant, KCPJ!
Its also on the South end too!
There is an underground concourse where Kev plays Pokemon in a league on Sunday's, downstairs from Nintendo World, it is a public space, but I don't know how good of a place that would be and don't know how the security would feel about so many people going at once...Dividing people and using Subways are risky and can be unsafe for the younger set. It may even become more chaotic. Next Sunday would be the better bet, perhaps maybe if Toy Wiz could be contacted, they can put a rain date into notice? So many are looking forward to this event...Hmmm..I am thinking too...
Then there's the problem of what if it rains next weekend? Weather isn't very consistent.
I think KCPJ had a good spot.

The Bethesda Arcade in Central Park sounds like a very good alternative. Do we need to seek out a permit or permission to use it? Please let me know as soon as possable what the final decision is regarding the tourney. I will be coming up north on Saturday am and I can check this web site by Saturday afternoon around 6. Is that ok to make the call by then? If not who can I contact or have someone send me an email or text as to if we're on or not.
If someone could pm me from this forum that would be aesome.
Until Sunday!
Let er Rip!!

I'll find out, but,it said it became accesible to the public in 2007 sooooo......
Wait put me on the maybe, not sure cause of rain and ride.
We need a park permit for anything over 30 people, but the cops don't really care.

Although its this Sunday, I really think the best thing to do is be patient. True, the weather most times can be inconsistent, thats why a good backup plan should always be a good idea. Even in a indoor location, most people will not want to leave their house in heavy rain (today was great example). Central Park even indoors is extremely dangerous in weather conditions with lightning. People will still be forced to walk in it, and most who have a commute from various locations wont bring their kids out there like that. Some have to walk long distances to get to buses, trains, etc. I know most want this to happen this Sunday, but sometimes things happen and can't work in everyone's favor. The kids want this more than anything, but the parents in most cases have the last say. Kev was supposed to have a bunch of friends from camp meet up at Central Park for this as well, they begged me for info on this event and I went out and made copies and handed it out to them. They were very excited, but I also know the parents will say no to rain because most of them are from uptown and have to take buses and trains and have to walk to and from the station. Lets just hope that the weather can work in everyone's favor this Sunday. Trust me, I have been in Central Park during Kevin's baseball game a few weeks ago and it began to rain, I found a covered place, but walking back out of the park after was a disaster, mud, puddles the size of lakes, walking in the rain we got soaked. A few days later, the coughs and sneezes began. A few days after that, caught in the rain AGAIN! The subways was almost flooded and trains was a mess. Do people really want to deal with that? I will do my best to bring Kev out on Sunday, but if its too bad, I will have to say no as well. I will try my best though.

I'm not going either, my cousin will let you borrow my stadium. Other than the fact that my cousin is my only ride.
¯\_(-_-')_/¯ . So if there is a reschedule, it's more likely me and my cousin will join.

Have you ever been to a Beyblade tournament before? Do you have any idea how long they last? Most last for many hours, way into the evening. Even the last Central Park one started very early in the day and lasted till about 6-7pm! If the attendance is larger, it can last even longer!
For sure you should not expect this tournament to end after only two hours at all. Another New York tournament perhaps, but if sixty people had signed up for the California event on Toywiz, the number must almost be double for this New York event.
For once,I wish there isn't alot of people there.

As of this morning, 102 is the count from the online form! That's a LOT of bladers!
I guess this means I have to bring my stadiums after all...
Ah, I suppose Single Elimination will have to be used.
