I do not think any of these are abnormal or ridiculous... asking children not to be heathens seems perfectly reasonable. I sincerely wish my school had been this way.

At some point, my former high school started cutting corners with monitoring the dialog on any wearable item. Some idiots would stencil gang numerals on their Jersey's or backpacks.

No complaining here Smile

In my new school, we can play and handheld consoles (psp,ds,etc.), run in the hallways, eat and drink in some classes, no dress code, and we have a 8 minute passing period. In my old school, they call your parents for wearing 'inappropriate' clothes. Skinny jeans are inappropriate.
Nobody is aloud to talk about undergoing ANY ACTIONS of Homosexuality
@ trainer red, are you serious?! that's really unfair (im not, but i have many friends whom are)
Same here. But you cant TALK about them out loud. Its gonna end when we get back to school. They promised us.
Honestly, it wouldn't really make sense for a school to condone talking about undergoing any acts of sexuality (homo or hetero or otherwise) outside of an educational setting....

As for my school, it wasn't so much a rule, but a reaction to rulebreaking. One of the bathrooms was the target of vandalism constantly, so rather than policing it more diligently, the bathroom was locked for months with no one able to use it. It'd be reopened, only to be locked again. Seems lazy. Also disrupted class heavily, as instead of using the bathroom right across from my class, one would have to walk to the other side of the school wasting a lot of time.
my school wont let us go to lunch untill your teach says so WERE ALWAYS LATE CAUSE WE CANT STOP SOCALIZING ( aka talking) WHY MATH TEACHER WHY
1. Can't go to the Restroom for the first 15 Minutes of class or the last 5 minutes of class.
2. No clocks in any classes.
3. Phones get taken up for a week if they're seen.
4. Teachers tell us to "not worry about it" if we ask the time.

HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO USE THE RESTROOM?!
At my school here are some ridiculous rules.

1. No electronics(you can have electronics but they have to be in your locker and turned off)
2. You can't wear hats inside the school
3. No chewing gum
I'm so glad I'm going to highschool this year you can get away with anything at our middle school you can't decorate your locker chew gum or dress inappropriately (baggy pants are inappropriate)
The discussion of drugs is not permitted on the WBO.
in my school no hoodies, no shorts, no half sleeve shirts, no dress shoes, no eating or drinking anything, no soda in lunch
SUBS CANT TAKE U OUT FOR RECESS! Worst rule ever!,,
Last year/my whole middle school year seemed really strict in the rules, but honestly without anyone enforcing certain rules, those rules are basically "broken" so often, they don't exist unless you're reminded of them.

1. Shirts must be tucked in. (This was almost never enforced. "Getting away" with it wasn't really an accomplishment at all.)
2. No shorts that go under your fingertips, no jackets or hoodies indoors (again, not really enforced at all), no sagging (this is pure win), no tank tops/wife beaters.
3. No chewing gum. (I think this is pretty standard. Besides, I never really got into gum-chewing)
4. If teachers see a cell phone, or hear one, they an take it away on the spot. (not enforced after third quarter, basically, after the last half of fourth quarter, it was optional to come to school)
If the teachers at my school think you have a cellphone in your pocket even if it doesn't ring or anything they will make you empty your pockets
