Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST

I'm a distance runner, so honestly I am not happy with 5:50. When I do a 5k my mile pace is around 6:30 to 7. But yeah, I still don't understand what is so hard to believe, haha.

This thread here can tide you all over about running and all that madness that makes me get a shortness of breath.

It's really a stamina class, where they separate the Storm Capricorns from the Phantom Orion's. (and the F230 Dragooons)

I can't do a push up.

You just need to keep trying
my friend Wink

*Keeps the cool act*8-)
Ive been trying to get active some more, but I think I waited too long. I think I can confirm that at 16 years of age, I have arthritis in my right knee. Time to work it out...

Also, I've finally gotten my upper body strength up a bit. I've gone from 20 push ups in a min to 26, 3 pull-ups to 5. Small improvements. Grin

Also, I got my college schedule back, and with the schedule, I will be getting out of school even earlier. Last year I got out at 3:05, now it's 1:50, maybe even earlier cause I dont have certain classes certain days.
If you go to college will you have the same subjects in Highschool?
You will have a set of core classes, but you choose major and minors, as well as elective
Yeah, Im only taking 1 high school class this semester cause I've gotten the rest of my requirements out of the way. English 4 is that class. Then, I have Spanish 2, American History, and Computers.

I have 1 more high school class after English 4, and thats Physics.
Def, do you live near graham

But if you take AP courses in high school (and pass the AP test), you are exempt from that class in college.

Right?
Yes you get the credit, I'm already y have 3 college credits. So work hard in high school slackers. . . I could have done better myself.

Generally the rule is that you're exempt if you get a 4 or 5. Some schools will take 3s, & some won't take APs for credit at all. Everyone's taking them these days, so colleges have gotten a bit stricter with how credit is awarded.

Not necessarily,at my school the AP test scores are just a way to "impress" colleges you are applying to, and won't give you any exemptions once you actually get there. Your school may be different.
Most colleges that have specific course requirements will actually consider it, but again, it really depends on the school & your major. My dad got out of Biology 101 in college with a 3, but my Pre-Calculus teacher's son had to re-take Calculus in college even though he got a 5. I don't know what it'll be like for me, but every school I've looked at that has subject requirements says they'll take most 4s & 5s.

But yeah, it's primarily to give you a one-up on your college apps.

I'm headed to 11th grade, the hardest of them all. It all begins on Tuesday, and this time around I have no familiar teachers. Now I have to get used to the raging pack of middle school teachers. (The Junior and Senior teachers treat you like a 7th grader)
H's anyone else been watching America's Got Talent this season? I've been rooting for Darik Santos (CT local, too) and Dan Naturman. They're hilarious. While Darik's awkward demeanor just adds to his act and his puns crack me up, Naturman is also funny. Comedy is probably the hardest act on that show, too. Naturman made it to the semifinals, Darik's fate is being decided tonight. Really hoping for him.

Check him out and give him some votes if you like his acts. Tongue_out

I like banzai comedy actually, as I can relate In many ways. But I do agree when people are singing there hearts out and you are telling jokes, you better be funny.
