Ah good, so its not only me XD

I'm joining anime club too. I know, biggest nerd gathering ever. But hey! Someone will know about Beyblade, so maybe I could invite them to the site. And besides, I kinda have to join. Since to apply for the school paper, you have to write an article promoting one of the aspects/programs/clubs of the schools.

Hah, at my school, there is no newspaper club thing

Nope, Chuck Testa.

I thought that was going to be something amusing and put me on a meme rage.

lol, don't get me started on GIF's, memes and rage comics. It'll probably get me/someone else warned =P

Today's bio class, we were learning about the parts of the cell (basic review from last year). This girl who was having a hard time remembering them said, "But what if I forget before the test?"

Teacher's response: "Ohoho, you'll never forget them. I'll make you remember them so much, you'll be dreaming about them."

That's freaky. Extremely freaky. So freaky that I would dart out of the classroom and call the police. Pinching_eyes

My little sis' birthday is tomorrow. I made her a card with Tsubasa and Earth Eagle on the front. Grin My parents and I are taking her and her friends to Outback, though. I hate Outback, because there's nothing for a vegetarian duck like me to eat but salad. Salad is great and all, but it gets boring after a while. Unhappy

Happy birthday to her, I hope you have a good time. Cute

Anyways,
In yard today (Im off early because of the dentist) some of my fellow pupils were fighting as in two of the most troublesome boys and the most 'popular' girls. They were at the gat and the boys were jumping on them. I just stud thier and watched. It was very amusing.

Last week thier was a riot in my school, my class and 6th class were playing splat, at the end our class said they won and their class said they won. Stone throwing, punching and kicking broke out and thier were people going home and people saying that thye coulden't breath.
Some times I worry about my friends..... (Just to make it clear I hate most of 6th)

Thanks! We will! Grin

They don't sound like very good friends. I like my friends to be the kinds that don't recklessly pick fights. Tongue_out_wink

This is the best joke so far. I couldn't stop laughing for 5 minutes. Sun goes is water XD. Seriously, very very funny.
BTW, please do read Insomniac's link once in case you did not intend to write all that as a joke.

We had many other such mistakes made in the school this week which either went unnoticed or made fun of..
1. Every day 40 species of animals become instinct. (Except for the teachers and some students no one realized that it was supposed to be extinct)
2. Aufbau was a German Scientist. (Again, a big mistake. Aufbau means 'filling up' in German. The principle was not the name of a scientist XD)
3. *Bell rings for break, bio students asks permission to enter the class*.
Math Teacher: Get out
Student: Ma'am, I am already outside
Math Teacher: Then stay outside
Student: But, your period is over, it's break time. The time is up already.
Math Teacher(enraged): You will teach me what is the time? Get out.
Student: But the bell rang, time is up.
Math Teacher: No, I am still in class. It isn't break time yet.(Looks at the other students in class-- The others are already busy eating their food and are no longer paying attention to the teacher/topic).
Frustrated, teacher walks out..
Student: And I thought I was supposed to get out Chocked_2

That same student has the same conversation almost everyday now XD
Today in Geometry we had to take the Star Math Test.
Here's the warmup questions:
What is 2+3?
What is 3-2?
What is 5-2?
Onto the real questions:
Factor (insert jumble of numbers here)

gotta love the southern education system, best in the worrrrllllddddd
I was playing sword throwing levels in Happy Wheels, when I noticed that in some of them, there are references to Tobuscus and PewDiePie. Is it because they're so famous on YouTube?

If you keep getting babied in the "younger grades", when you compete to get into international level universities, most won't cut the line Confused

Of course, classes where you do almost nothing are always awesome =D
Getting into Universities is considerably harder than actually doing the coursework IN the universities(save for Med School and other long, arduous programs as such), however, and is considerably more political than how you did in Highschool.

Assuming we're talking about "Big Name" Universities/Ivies/Premier Med Schools, etc. anyway.

Yes, aha, by international, I meant "Big Name". More-so, "internationally renowned".
Many of them are far more concerned with your aptitude as shown on the exams they give you to submit with your application than your highschool GPA, even. Friend of mine had like a 2.1 or so in HS and is now in Law School at Penn State with no hullabaloo, because he aced his exams and did his precoursework as directed.

Once you're actually in Uni, many of them turn out to be all bark and no bite, or more frequently, are prone to Curve Cheating/"Grade Boosting" practices, in order to make themselves look better and, by proxy, get more people to graduate and thereby more to enroll. Med School is the biggest, most noteworthy exception to the practice, purely because it involves so much scrutinized practice with actual patients, and the primary reasons for failing Med School are either monetary or burnout/shock related.
I'm homeschooled. I'm more advanced than all of ya!

Personally, I was okay with trained, qualified teachers and social interaction (even if I didn't particularly enjoy the latter part, I can see the value of it). Homeschooling being so common in the US was a real shock to me when I found out. Here in Australia if it happens at all it's only because someone's circumstances allow nothing else (and in a country where distance is a very common issue, we've had a fair bit of time to come up with solutions).
Good news everyone! Me and my dad are gonna turn that one porch of ours into a pottery studio for me to use!...that is until I get the money to pay for the lumber and roof and carp and then theres the wheel and kiln...

Looks like I'm all set then, aha.

In Victoria at least, the homeschooled community is quite large, the majority of which do it out of preference.

Eurgh, really? Well, I guess that explains a lot, at least. I was completely unaware though, so thanks for the correction.

I'll leave the discussion there though, like anything one has charged feelings about, best left alone online.
That sounds like he was a jerk, that's an example of Cyber-bullying.
Yesturday in my Phys Ed class, we ran around a football field, 5 times, took me 20 minutes (i slightly have asthma) then after, we went into the gym, which was refreshing, then i found a secret room and there were chairs stacked in 2 areas, then i was rolling on the floor, then over 40 chairs toppled me... then my friend pulled me out... i feel like a keyboard warrior...
Today my teacher got emailed my test scores and i got the highest in my state everybody started claping and giving me hi fives and knuckles I'M INVINCIBLE [Image: images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRUqBd8bHnHrVgbLpZwD5o...h1VU62Rsao]
