Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST

Scored a 2310 on my SATs! I'm gonna see if I can do even better, but right now I am very much elated!

So happy right now, this combined with my 800s in my SAT II Chem and Math 2 will be great for college.

Nice! :o) Man, I wish I could take it again now; seventh grade was really not the best time. You took it with the help of a Talent Search or program or something, right?
I'm still sitting here like a pale lump on a log monster under a bridge.

I'm disk-appointed Earth, I truly am.
Is that supposed to be a joke about the so-called "apocalypse"?

Anyway, I really hope that things aren't a mess tomorrow. I wanna go out with my adoptive mom and go shopping and stuff, but we're worried that the lunatics who actually think the world is gonna end are gonna be wreaking havoc without knowing there'll be consequences. Also, there might be a snowstorm, quack. Unhappy

I'm a junior, haha. This was actually counting for college. I took it in 7th and 8th with the JHU CTY Talent Search yes, but this one is me registering with CollegeBoard and actually taking it to submit for apps next year.

On another note, my school's power got knocked out so my Christmas vacation starts a day early!
Nice! I actually had the day off...everyone i know had to go to school. Im sick though so i wouldnt have gone anyway.
im dead the mayans got me

sorry guys Unhappy

Really though, I wonder how many people are out today doing things they normally wouldn't do, since it's "the end." Wonder how many I know? XD

Also, I passed all of my finals with a C or above, putting all of my grades at least a B or above, so now when I turn 16 in 6 days, my car insurance won't skyrocket! YAY! Grin
I passed all my finals with a C or above as well, I'm not sure abour science because my teacher didn't give me my grade! I'm positive I passed, though. Tye finals were sure something compared to last years which I got an A or B on all. I'm stepping upcoming next semester, though. I'm only half way through 8th grade and I am ready to get into High School and do better for some reason :\
I passed my finals with a B or above (100 in Spanish, 95 in Science, 95 in Georgia Studies, 95 in Language Arts, and 86 in Math). All were relatively easy, save for Math, evidently... I'm learning all of 9th grade math and half of 10th grade this year, so the pace is pretty fast. Combined with the fact that my teacher isn't the best at teaching the material, I kind of saw that grade coming...

Like Tri, I'm going to try and step it up as far as studying goes. I kind of have to if I want to maintain the grades I want.
I made the mistake of only studying for my finals the day before i was to take them. All i know was that i got a b in honors biology (my toughest class) and an a in honors algebra one. Not to brag, but im sure i got an a in latin (easiest class ever!). Gym was actually surprisingly tough but even i flunked all the rest of my finals, the worst i could come out with is a b+ or a b in every one. High school has been way too easy so far considering i barely did any work all semester (along with the fact that i get, on average, only one or two sheets of hw per day).
Yeah, high school been a lot less harder then I've expected. I haven't recieved all the grades for my finals yet, but I'm quite sure I ended with As in all my classes, since my grades were all 95ish or higher before finals.
I know! At my grammar school, my science teacher told me high school would be the time of my life, and my art teacher told the class we would all be getting detentions and would do terrible (because we had two really bad kids in our class). So far, its been neither.
I barely passed my Ear-Training class with a C-. In my major, a failing would be a D. So I managed to get through it, no problem.

What annoys me is that even though I can do sight-singing properly, when under pressure like I did in the midterms and finals, I do extremely poorly. Especially in my Final. So they have this low expectations of me because I have to sing to all the Ear-Training and Harmony teachers, and they collectively grade me on it. I have to get over it next semester, but damn, being put in this position right now really sucks...
My anxiety is not being helped right now.

I'm sure I interrupted my former math teachers drive to somewhere, narrowly slamming the breaks before a neighbors Dauchsund I was watching after ran out too far. He got away safely and that's good.

I felt like I was going to be tackled and beaten.
Whoever said high school is the time of your life didn't go to college, lol. I'm not talking partying or drinking or anything stupid like that (spoilers: none of which is actually any fun); I'm talking about finding roommates who stay up all night with you playing crazy Halo custom gametypes or building a world in Minecraft, only needing to stop to go to classes you actually enjoy going to. I mean, my freshman year sucked because I had god awful roommates and didn't know anybody, but ever since I moved in with my current roommates Sophomore year I've been loving college. I'm half-sad, half-excited to be graduating in May, as while it will be cool for this chapter of my life to be over I'm going to really miss everybody.

Any of you who are complaining about hard finals in highschool would not be able to fathom what a real final is like, lol. I inteded to try to get a 4.0 GPA throughout college, but that idea turned south pretty fast! This semester I somehow managed to squeak by with 3 Bs and 1 B- and I am far from upset I didn't get any As; I just couldn't be happier that I didn't outright fail two of them!

Also, I wrote my very own programming language. I've been gushing about this more than enough on Facebook, but I'm still really excited about this, haha!
My math teacher always told me that College is pretty much the closest thing to a real world experience you'll ever have even after the fact.
We didn't have midterms this year thanks to Sandy actually, but the quarterly exams were pathetic for me.

My grades are 98+ in all of my classes, I'm doing better junior year than as a sophomore because I'm less lazy in High School now. Even with more APs, I'm still doing better.

That, along with my awesome SAT score (see last page) and my SAT IIs (again, see last page) is really helping me out right now. Looking to ED to Columbia next year, hopefully I'll get in! Joyful_3

The world didn't end. I'm disappointed. :\

Anyway, my mom and I didn't go out. We're going to tomorrow. ...Hmm, now I'm craving Canadian bacon and hashbrowns...

The Mayans didn't predict the world to end, they predicted a new Era. (The Era of Beyblade, hopefully) So actually we should celebrate the new Era. "YEAH, A NEW ERA!"

P.S. Why on Earth would you want the planet to end, your species would end.
Also, the I could be wrong , but apparently the Mayan calendar didn't include leap-years, so the 'new era' had actually been and gone already.
