I keep telling you, I’m not referring to an entirely new system but rather just a new generation of burst. Generation meaning a new cast of bladers in the same universe. Also, older characters can totally be minor, it’s been done in anime and manga work before and if Hiro wants it, it can happen. Minor characters can be as simple as being the companion characters.

All the returning characters always have a substantial role that influence the story.

IMO I think we can say shu is one of the main character in sparking just because he's role is really big (anime) but we can also say he isn't the main character just because he isn't in the first half

He's low tier I guess. He does appear frequently but the amount of times he's doing something important is low. People like Valt and Rantaro appear a lot and train the main cast. Shu just lurks around until he eventually does a thing.

Ah ok bad wording problems me understand.

From the way you said it it looked as if you were implying Shu actually insulted Lain when he just said you gotta improve [x] and [y] and get your [z] together.

Free doesn't really train people. I never remember him mentoring Sasha, however he respected her feeling about wanting the team to stick together and that they can't have some kid that jumps back and forth. As for Valt Free just let Valt battle him alot and Valt gained new things from battling him, Free never directly taught Valt, however just let him battle him in turn making Valt grow. 

As for the Lui idea its aight but I don't really see why Lui would waste the time to do that tbh. He's the type to hunt for strong people, I don't think he'll make a strong person to fight tbh.

Aha no, I would never expect Shu to insult anyone in Sparking. I know he was just being very critical, but Lean took it as if he was called a weak blader and used it as a drive to train harder and gain his flare haha.

And I'd say Free kind of did mentor Shasa, even if it's not by much. When Shasa was struggling to defeat Free after many battles against him, Free did give Shasa some advice on how to steady her launching stance (she still lost, but she lasted a bit longer as a result of his advice).

NOTE: I'm moving the conversation here, because I don't wanna keep derailing the Season 6 thread. That's strictly for the upcoming season of Burst.

I don't like how double ring-outs are handled in the Burst anime. I think it's illogical to give the point to the bey that touches the ground later. If both beys are thrown over the stadium walls, the one that gets blown back more, i.e. the one that takes more damage, i.e. the WEAKER bey/blader touches the ground later and wins. I think in these situations, the point should be awarded to the bey that landed closer to the stadium, or AT LEAST the round should just be declared a tie. I don't have that problem with double spin finishes or bursts for obvious reasons.

Anyway, that's my opinion on the matter. I would love to know what you guys think about this!
