Random Beyblade Anime and Manga Thoughts

(Dec. 28, 2020  2:24 AM)Eclipse Force Wrote: The manga didn't even focus on the setting at all and just left a white background to emphasize on Aiger and Achilles, which is obviously whats supposed to be happening. In the manga Aiger doesn't take to long to cry after realizing his mistake and is ready to make a new bey and in turn make a proper bond between him and Achilles, which fits his determined personality.

(Dec. 28, 2020  2:22 AM)Zeutron Wrote: I think it does. A dark gloomy tower is much more depressing than a boat to me.

Its a dark boat at nighttime with a cold unsettling Valt, and seeing Achilles fade away and real time and Aiger realize his mistake after its too late obviously hits hard.

I don’t think manga can make it hit nearly as hard as animation would simply because of what it is. Focusing on setting is honestly a much better writing characteristic than moving on ever so quickly in my opinion because it’s just a waste of a realistic/emotional moment in burst. I wonder what other people would think though so I’ll ask?

Do you guys prefer Aiga breaking down after Valt beat him on the ship with its creative writing or do you prefer the breakdown at dead tower with the depressing setting and realism. To be clear, I’m not talking about the battles but rather Aiga’s reaction and emotional moments after the battle.

Don’t take it the wrong way, I just wanted to see what other opinions yielded. Besides, back when the manga version released multiple people were commenting on it and it was on multiple YouTube channels so I doubt 90% haven’t seen it.

I personally think that valt beating aiga is a better choice because it makes valt act more mature imo and further on when aiga beat valt it felt more rewarding and satisfying and the whole dead grand arc was bad imo

In that case I think the dead grand arc suits it better because we feel his breakdown

I believe that he more or less said the same thing. Only difference is that he recovered faster (which seems kinda dumb to me).

Nah the stupid notification system also said Delta did it somehow, I don't think thats the problem.
the aiga breakdown an the anime was pretty good both the anime and manga got me feeling sorry for aiga the only thing I didn't like about the anime is it was phi who beat him before the breakdown I prefer the manga one for that valt beating him and giving him the speech on how his beyblading was hurting Achilles just replace phi for valt an it would've been great . but overall I felt the breakdown, now I'll say this I personally think the manga hands aiga character better overall although it's a surprise that I'm saying that cho z anime was 50/50 for me  same with gt I like some character arc but overall wasn't really a fan of it unlike the manga  , theirs a reason why s1 and god is like so much while the rest are very divided.

I personally prefer Aiga breaking down at the dead tower. This brings more impact than breaking down after losing to Valt because when he does that it just makes him look like someone who can’t take losing. When Aiga broke down after breaking Achilles it really makes us feel for Aiga and more specifically Achilles which is a much impactful strategy to tug at our heartstrings.

yea both depiction of the scene got to me it's not something I experience alot it was an interesting experience. specially for someone like me who reads manga's,  light novels/web novels first before diving into the anime if they have it to see the differences between both experiences,  i also do it if they anime exist before being made into a manga.  but yea It really put me 50/50 as a viewer so when you tag me I felt to explain it the way I felt about it no biased just the way I really fell from both perspectives
While it makes it weird that Phi was both the cause for the start and end of dark Aiga, I feel that by acknowledging most of his mistakes with his self reflection after was a good lesson learned. Sure, Valt destroying Achilles on purpose shows his maturity as well as teaching Aiga a good lesson. I feel anime had a better aftermath, while the battle from the manga was better. 50/50 I guess, choose whichever one.
