Random Beyblade Anime and Manga Thoughts

Seeing comments saying Ray should fought Mystel and Max vs Crusher. The thing is that a lot of people are saying Ray vs Mystel would result in a draw while Max would lose to Crusher. I agree Max would lose to Crusher 70% over 30%, but I honestly think Ray could take Mystel. Both focus on precision and high speed attacks, but Mystel is more rampant and free flowing while Ray's precision attacks are strong and deadly. 360 hits are good, but Ray packs more of a damage. Comparing Lee vs Mystel, Max vs Mystel, and Ray vs Crusher, Ray's got this.
Then again that'd mean either Tyson or Kai had to draw their matches...I don't think people would be okay with that.
Why do People Think Delta Is Possessed And he’s Like Red eye Hes Talks to Diaboloses Spirit Sure its a giant Demonic Dragon And It Give off a Horribly Evil aura But delta never goes out his way to hunt down bladers and defeat them and hes not saying he’s his bey he just has a strong bond with diabolos just how all of our main characters do

Nowadays, people assume that people with a bond with their Bey ARE possessed. Im not saying its incorrect or true, but its a weird thing most people assume. Smh

Especially when Valt exists, its weird.
Maybe its the general/surface idea that kids are literaly talking to a TOY, so I dont really blame them

To be fair, one minor criticism I have with Burst as a whole is that only 3 people a season actually talk to their bey and while we know most of them talk to their bey, most of its offscreen. Shows like B-Daman Crossfire gave a good reason why, but even hearing the avatar/bit-beast talk with their partners at least once in Burst with other characters than just Valt, Aiga, Phi, and Shu would be nice and give more insight onto the bladers.

Besides, its anime, talking to fictional objects ain't out of the blue. This is a series with a dog blader in the manga.
I never saw Free talking with Fafnir, only characters I see talking with their beys are Valt, Shu, Lui, Aiga, Phi, and Drum.
Meanwhile you have Delta taking care of his beyby Diabolos— literally just goes along if Diabolos says he’s not satisfied yet. “Aight, let’s get you some more.”

I guess caretaker would be a step up?
Im guessing characters talking to Beyblades are either part of their personality, or just something they do when no one is looking (come on; I think some of us talk to something we like, whenever no one is around)l I wouldnt think its uncommon for someone to think “HE IS POSSESSED BECAUSE HES TALKING TO HIS BEY!!!” But no, talking to objects dont always indicate possession; though, I get people freak out and stuff

And if characters dont talk to their Beys at all, thats maybe just them. Free not talking to Fafnir kinda makes sense, because Free sticks by himself a lot more often. He wouldnt be the first to reach out to anyone, so I highly doubt he would enjoy starting a conversation with his Bey
No one on Burst really seems possessed though. In the end it’s their own desires that drive them— not their beys. Their beys just kind of encourage it in a way? But it’s still all on the character—
Hey..I'm probably alone on this, but did anyone else not have a problem with Masamune or Daichi when they first appeared?

Dont worry, I feel the same. Im pretty chill with typically annoying characters, as I used to be someone like that. Haha

Awesome, I remember when he showed up and just wrecked Yu. Fun fact, for a attack type, he has good stamina.

I remember when episode 2 of 4D/Fury leaked of the silhouettes and everyone was trying to guess who other the Legendary Bladers were gonna be. People were guessing Damin, Masa, Julian, Yu, everyone. Meanwhile I was trying to figure out whether or not Neptune was gonna be a bey/female blader (and that sadly never happened).

I'm glad he got focus with the Sphere 360 match though, and coming together with Tsubasa and Yu to crack through Nemesis' defense. Gan Gan Galaxy pulled through again XD
The time has come: we’ve roasted V-Force/2002, G Revolution, everything Metal, God, and Cho-Z, but its time to do the unthinkable: TEN NITPICKS about BURST SEASON 1. (BTW, Burst season 1 is great, this is just high tier nitpicks except for the last one and maybe the first and ninth one)

1. Did it bother anyone else that Valt never used the True Flash Rush Shoot for like 30 episodes. I know his super awakening was troubling him but he got off the Ultra Flash Launch against Xhaka while struggling so it’s still odd.

2. Who were the B and D winners of the Area Select Tournament? All we saw were Valt and Wakiya in A and C winning...not mad we got robbed of a serious Wakiya vs Daina match but still.

3. What was Kensuke’s whole strategy in the second half, he wasn’t making any new special moves or anything but I couldn't tell if he wanted to make Kerbeus attack more or use his weight as a detrimental something else?

4. Wakiya’s Hyper Shield Crash was able to crack Spriggan, ironically making Wakiya the first beybreaker (they should turn that into a name), but considering how hard that hit Spriggan when there are other special moves around that same caliber or harder, why would that be one of few times a blade broke?

5. And yeah with all the damage most blader’s beys take, shouldn't there be a maintenance place or a shop they can go too?

6. Yeah, why didn’t Rantaro, Ken, and Daina’s special moves get named until the Sword Flames arc. That’s not a dub problem like with Brave Impact either, they just weren’t said at all.

7. Can someone explain? Minus the Supreme Four, Valt, and Wakiya, the only way to get into the District Tournament was to win the Beigoma Tournament from episodes 1-15 (wish the wiki would fix up that page for one day) or the Area Selection Tournament. But everyone’s else getting in this tournament is complicated and isn’t explained. I was thinking that certain members of teams would place high in the tournaments, which would explain why Katana, Kensuke, or former top players would make it in, but Naoki and Akira were newcomers to the tournament and beyblade, we never saw who won Blocks B and D, so were there several tournaments like the first one in the show all around Japan and the show just didn’t, or did Naoki hack the system to get a bunch of randos in….which would actually be pretty cool.

8. (I’m counting Wakiya, Ken, and Xhaka for this), out of the 9 main protagonists of season 1, why is Daina’s the only one who’s parents we never see or hear about: Valt’s/Toko/Nika got both parents, Rantaro’s dad’s a cop/detective/unless the dub lied, Ken’s mom is the head of their puppet show, Wakiya’s rich, Xhaka has his dad, Shu’s parents are usually away...Oh carp are Daina and Souta’s parents dead...ward of the state, I need to know!

9. Wakiya’s attitude in between episodes 30 and 34 were off...to say the least. Like everyone saved his life an episode or two ago, and while Valt definitely screwed up, Wakiya was just throwing hands at everyone for no reason, especially at Rantaro. While I know half of the fandom poop posts on Rantaro, Wakiya was acting completely out of line and going after him even after he learned not to underestimate his own teammates. If Rantaro actually battled against Ice Blaze or Sword Flames and he barely edged out a win (which I’ll talk about next), I could see Wakiya getting mad at him for that, but no, he was just acting like a douche. I can’t say Wakiya losing to Xhaka was karma cuz A) it looked like Wakiya could’ve won that and B) that battle was showing off his character development so the past 4 episodes were jarring.

10. Once upon a forum, there was once a debate about Rantaro being a mid tier or low tier blader. When it was pointed out that Rantaro beat Kyo, Lui’s short kid teammate, there were arguments about it looking worse for Rantaro because “he beat some noob player with an extremely minor bey”. And that has led me to a three part problem:
a) Burst’s anime really should’ve given the non-16 important bladers names and semi colored avatars.
b) the team tournament should’ve been a best of 5 points instead of 3 for all of the rounds.
c) there’s an imbalance of focus for the Beigoma team because of it.
Don’t get me wrong, this arc is good, but not perfect. Because every team in the tournament but Beigoma have bladers without the special beys, every team has “noob bladers” that are just set up to lose, but in a 5-man-team tournament with the best teams in the world, its kind of a disconnect to call some of them noobs, but because the anime makes them look generic, its kind of bizarre to consider them top bladers when it looks like in reality, there’s just two good bladers with the rest of the team just being fodder or being carried by the big names. God has this problem to a lesser extent but for “noob bladers the majority don’t care about” they made Sasha and Hickson actually contribute and win, who are supporting characters with a lower tier bey. That and they had non dual layer beys, while every single blader in Burst did so their victories get earned. Hell, look at some rando bey combos by the noobs: Attack Kerbeus, Defense Spryzen, all you do is make them give a few hits or knock someone else out and them being part of a top team looks much more reasonable.

And 5 points/rounds would’ve helped too for our bois: Shu’s in every battle except Beasts, Rantaro and Daina only have two matches, Wakiya’s the only blader not to battle Rideout, and Valt’s not even in the Sword Flames battle. Look at the pros:
f) Valt struggled and lost to “noob bladers” in God, so to see him barely win against those in season 1 while going through his self confidence decline after losing to Quon would’ve made it stronger.
g) going with Rantaro’s opponent, had Rideout been the only team that got their own avatars besides Lui and Gou, it would’ve given much more credit within the fandom. Daina vs Gou was awesome, but imagine seeing Shu actually struggle against another opponent not named Yugo in the tournament...actually we shitstorm Yugo but he put up a good fight so I’ll give him that.
h) Daina and Rantaro getting a few more matches to either win or lose would still prove even though they aren’t particularly on the same level as VSW, they’re still able to go up against stronger bladers...and considering how we devalue the Scythe wielder of Death in season 2, it’d give them and the teams overall more credibility.

So...thoughts?
Ill just respond to number 5 lol

I think they do that offscreen or something, but theres this thing that annoys me in Burst: They act like their Beys are sacred and a one-of-a-kind! Someone’s Bey breaks and everyone assumes its all over... The can just shed some money on a new one or repair their Bey!

But like, yeah. Why is it that the characters dont seem to do anything until their Bey breaks? Its awful funny how they dont seem to go to someone to fix their Beys or put them back in good condition (if thats the main point youre trynna say, then yeah)
Just rewatched episode 50 and I think it's even more epic than last time. Though, my heart wasn't pounding as hard this time so maybe not XD
Gabe Khouth, Ken’s English actor tragically died yesterday from cardiac arrest. Rest In Peace, he voiced a fun ventriloquist.

No!! Ken probably had the most decent voice in the English dub. He did a fantastic job.
May he rest in peace?
Dang it, I really liked Ken's English dub voice! He did so well...

REST IN PEACE

Oh no... that's horrible. I'll definitely miss him since I've grown on his performance as Ken Midori.

Rest in Peace, Gabe Khouth.
