Limited Format Primer

Tournament Registration: 11AM
Tournament Start: 12:30PM

The sides have yet to be determined. North Carolina Bladers, this is your chance to not only prove you would be a worthy addition to any Bladers team at Team BeyBattle Revolution @ ANIME NORTH 15 , but to also earn paid travel expenses (if necessary), along with an AN Pass to attend the event and all of the festivities over the weekend!

Mandatory $5 Entry Fee = More Qualifiers + Extra Credits + Free Face Booster!
To help subsidize the high cost of flying/busing the qualifiers to Toronto, a mandatory $5 entry fee will be imposed on all Qualifier Series tournaments, regardless of whether or not a participant has a Blader Passport (if you wish to purchase a Blader Passport, the total cost would be $15 at a Qualifier Series tournament), and there will be no prize reimbursement apart from the travel expenses for the winner. We hope that everyone can understand this! The more funds we have, the bigger this championship will be! However, to show our appreciation for your cooperation and support in helping to fund the championship, all participants in Qualifier Series tournaments will receive the following:

What can I win?
The winner of this qualifier will receive the following: Qualifiers will be responsible for finding/paying for accommodations in Toronto, but we will work closely with each of you to make sure that you find somewhere suitable. Additionally, the winner will be required to consult with the Committee before booking their flight/bus, and then after approval, provide a booking confirmation to the WBO Committee before they can provide reimbursement for the traveling costs. We can also reimburse gas costs, but in that case, reimbursement will only take place in person after we have received gas receipts.

YES IT'S LIMITED FORMAT

Put me down as a strong maybe. The only problem is that my sister has a concert that day but I'll try to work around it.

If only I had known the winner got an AN pass as well as paid travel expenses, I wouldn't have bought mine ahead of time... At least it's better than winning and then being unable to go because you didn't buy a ticket while they were in stock.

Maybe you should have been paying attention in 2013 and 2014 when we did the same thing for qualifiers: paid travel expenses and an AN pass. Wink

But yeah, you're right. I would not take the chance on expecting/waiting to win a qualifier to get your pass considering that Weekend Passes sold out a couple weeks ago. For anyone that is planning on attending regardless of whether they win the qualifier or not, I would recommend buying a Saturday pass ASAP.
I still don't know how I feel about this whole thing. Only one person from a team getting travel paid, seems like there could be problems with last second teams being made at the event; however, I understand why that's the way it is, paying for 3 people out of a qualifier would be to much money. Anyway I'll defiantly be here I hope I can win, that would make things a lot easier on my dad and I.
im there

Actually, the format for the qualifiers is (single) Limited, unless I am missing some information myself. Therefore, we are not splitting teams by paying for only the top winner's travel.

At Anime North, of course ideally teams should be made beforehand, but there will probably be many last-minute team formations.
Yeah, all qualifiers are not Team Format events; it doesn't suggest that anywhere in the OP.
That's not what I was saying, I was saying that if people already had teams then with only one person getting the trip the one person would have to make a team at the event without his/her team mates.

Well, if they are a Captain of a team they could recruit new members at AN. If they're a regular team member, they could always leave the team, join a team in Toronto, and then come back later to their original team. It's not ideal, but considering that there has only been one Team event so far, there is technically only four official teams currently in existence anyways (none of which contain US members).
I'm confirmed, as long as something doesn't pop up later on that date.
Dark, I just found out I'm taking the ACT that day; I'll be done at noon.

Do you think we could push the start time forward by a half hour or so? If so, I'm confirmed; if not, I can't make it. :\

Ah that sucks man. Maybe we can push the tournament back. It would also help the Maryland players if they wanted to come so they won't have to leave so early

Wait, to clarify, by pushing the tournament back/forward you mean starting it later, correct? I'm in support of that; I'm kind of in the same boat as the Maryland people, haha.
Ill have to talk to GT about time and if we can change it.
yes wombat is coming i love to battle you again cant wait

Any news on this @[Dark_Mousy]?
@[Dark_Mousy], I'll need to know ASAP if you plan on changing the date because BeybladeGeeks will be putting together a video soon (if they haven't started already).
Sorry guys. Ill know tomorrow. In the process of changing jobs and what not. So between that and lack of sleep I haven't got much done.

We're good to go
Seeing Dark's post above yours, I'm assuming it'll be the 18th.

EDIT: Nevermind.

He is asking for the event to start an hour later so he can attend, not the actual date itself.
If i change the time it could only be by about 30 minutes or so.
