I go by Crash pretty much everywhere else as well, so, that's what I would prefer here as well. I've explained it a bit in another thread, but I played a lot back in the early days (2000's), and attended a lot of events around the West Virginia/Ohio area back then. Fast forward to now, and my Fiance's 8 year old son has completely fallen in love with the game, and it has really sparked my interest as well. Recently we picked up one of the new HyperSpere battle sets, and our collection has like quadrupled this month. The kid even gives me a strong run for my money.

That being said, we're now starting to show some interest in some tournaments. Something fun we can travel to do as a family. I do still live in WV, right on the border of Ohio. We've discussed it a bit, and figure that we're willing to travel about 1 full state away, for events, and maybe a little further based on the size of the event.

As for questions. Most of the events that I see cap out at about 30 people, do these events usually fill up? Is it a mix of adults and kids playing in the event, or are there age brackets? Family friendly environments?

Welcome Crash! Yes, events usually fill up, there are some people who dont show up though. There are all ages playing, nada age limit, and there are family friendly enviorments. If you want combos or part reccomendations, ask people who seem to know, or use the given threads. Read the rules sent to you, the rules of the tourneys you're intrested in, and have fun!

That would be awesome. I would be willing to host an event as well. We have a local building that I can rent pretty reasonably that by my estimate, could host somewhere between 40-60 bladers. Honestly, I would love to have someone else organize the event, while I provide the building. As, I would want to play in the event as well. Perhaps down the line, I can find someone to work with to get another steady event going.

Nothing is stopping the organizers and judges from participating in a WBO tournament. We frequently do.

As I'm not sure how far people are willing to travel when it comes to the events, I'd prefer to work with someone who knows how it's done.

You can either get the B-09 or B-33 to host tournaments, but I recommend the B-09 as it's cheaper. If you're wanting to host a big tournament, I recommend 2-3 of these.

I did look into those. Unfortunately, it was a little to far for us to plan on short notice. It's about 7 hours from where we are currently.

Hello and welcome! To get right on track, yes, tournaments usually of a mix of ages but are always family friendly. Also I suggest collecting TT beys instead, look up what I mean if you wanna know more.

anyways, in terms of tourneys, there are a lot of rules regarding fakes, mods, cheating, etc. i would try to start with an unranked to test the waters, then really go for it. u can also use that to test combos and stuff, wont affect global ranking. try to host a tournament first, there are a lot of younglings(IM SORRY) that arent old enough to host. if your fiance's son has any friends who blade, that would be a good opportunity to make a sort of hang out. not sure if there's a scene in ohio, but its really easy to start one.

agreed. there's a big ad below every thread page. buy from there, hasbro nerfed their beys. ofc, hasbro has really fun gimmicks, and some can stand up to TT. I recommend buying either beyblade burst surge from hasbro, or beyblade burst sparking from Takara Tomy, Takara Tomy at the site below.
