I guess creating a reference document with the url's already in image tags wouldn't save that much time, but it might be a small improvement?
Questions about the WBO
It'd be the difference between clicking "copy image location" and "copy" on my right-click drop-down menu, which would save me approximately one eightieth of a second.
Not worth the time investment.

But think about how much time it could save in the long term!
Okay yeah you're probably right.

Wait, what just happened?
The site just broke itself, and then repaired and deleted every post that occurred during that period. For example, that Basalt 130DS thread is still showing in the Customizations forum.
...wtc?
Yeah...wut.

Yeah,I wonder what the Hell Kerbecs happened with that...I actually though the WBO was hacked, but then, everything returned back to normal...weird
We're in the middle of a forum software upgrade. Bugs will occur.
This is normal.

Forum upgrade? Nice, can't wait to see the end result.
I honestly thought it was some SPAMbots or something...

This is not something you will really see an effect from, just a mybb update.
When did this upgrade begin, if I may ask to fully sate my curiosity? Even a rough idea?
About thirty minutes ago.
Guys, I cannot make a news announcement everytime forty-eight hours before I do a very simple upgrade of our software. Everytime something messes up, but I always do at least one backup, and obviously the backup dates from when it was done, so posts were submitted afterwards.
I can confess to being the reason she spur-of-the-moment updated.
I nagged her about it.
Apologetopus ;x;

Calm, calm, we were just a little curious. It's not every day you see that happen. 48 hours is a bit much, and whilst a small newspost just to say "guys we're upgrading just now so things might get super-loopy" would be cool, it's hardly necessary, and this is sufficient explanation.
Surely you can see from our view (or at least from Ga's screenshot), why it might inspire us to ask questions, though

It is not as if we lost a month's worth of posting anyway, haha.
Everyone, carry on as usual. Nothing to be concerned about.

Hehe, what a relief. I thought I got a warning and some of my posts got deleted.
Hah, I thought that someone was trying to attack the server. Eh, w/e.

That sums up my panic very nicely. I thought I was about to be hacked or something...
I have got to agree with th!nk here. It couldnt be that detremental to wait a bit and post a warning stating you are about to preform an update, befor eyou actualy preform an update. For you this may be standard procedure, but for us memebrs we have no idea what is going on in situations like this. there would be slightly less panic if atleast there was a way to know what was going on, and if one didnt read about it and then asked the questions, then that is that person's own fault.
You lost 30 minutes of posting, and we did not have the luxury of giving you a warning - especially since the backup would've just erased the warning, too.
It was absolutely not as big of a deal as you are making it out to be.
Not looking around before panicking is still your own fault.

I post things all the time that nobody reads anyway. Some people have no idea what the Promo Cards campaign is, for instance.
Don't let a few bad apples spoil the bunch, hah. I read. But yeah, this is starting to be blown waaaaay out of proportion.
I am just wating for that one person to have a serious freakout that annoys everyone with thier spam...it happned to me that time the WBO's payment was overdue and the site shutdown for a few hours. After the site was back up i got 3 copies of the same foward message from a newbie. I will admit I emailed Kai-V myself at the time but that was the extent of my panic, one email, not massive spam...
I apalogize kai-V and Hazel for my own personal freakout as well. My antivirus software has expired, and ever since my last laptop crashed, i have been overly cautious about this sort of thing. I didnt want to be that guy who broke the WBO because he clicked an ad for a free ipod by accident or something lol

To let everyone know, the backup is apparently still being restored, but we have been working fine and we are already back to the time of the backup ... At worst, the last few posts could disappear again and we will return to the time of the backup for a second time, but I do not know.
♫ Let's do the time warp agaaaaain~♫
Well played Hazel. Were you a CTYer? It's a classic at the camp.
What did this update do anyways?

I'm not sure if this is one if the few bugs after the update but on some threads I can't go in because it says it doesn't exist*
