This is not an appropriate post for this forum. You aren't asking advice about a prospective purchase, nor are you giving an opinion on what someone should buy.

Generally, this kind of post only belongs in the beyblade collection thread - where you can talk about the beys you own.

Spy Car- If you want your son to be at his Competitive Best, you'll need to make many more purchases.
But, the BB-10 stadium is essential for every blader. So, you have to buy it. The DX sets offer more than just a stadium, which is why its a good purchase. Smile
OK, so I was saying, to make your son the best Competitive Player, you'll need these beys-
Phantom Orion
VariAres
Duo Uranus (from Ultimate DX set, which is not worth the price you pay for it. Buy an individual pack instead)
Hell Kerbecs

You already have other good parts like Basalt, Death and RDF.
You'll also need a few CS tips.
We also have various distinctions on how a part will perform in a certain stadium.
Being the standard stadium according to this community's rules, most of the Competitive beys we enlist work best in the BB-10 stadium.
If he participates in Hasbro tournaments, then all these parts will be useless. Not only are these illegal for Hasbro tourneys(TT beys not allowed in Hasbro), but some may not perform 'as well' as they do in the BB-10 stadium.
If you look forward to host a WBO tournament yourself, then you will have to use the BB-10 stadium.
In that case, these parts are the best in the current meta-game.

A BB 10 stadium is on our "wish-list." One could only hope they were more easily attainted.

For now the school-kids battle after school in everything from assorted Hasbro stadiums, to hula-hoops on tables, to a plastic "bowl" formed in their playground apparatus—all quite non-compliant with WBO tournament rules I'm aware. We do hope to add a BB 10 soon.

Returning to my question, do I need an additional part for the LR String Launcher BB 115? Is there a grip that completes this launcher or is it fine "as is?"

Please forgive the naive questions. I've been attempting to educate myself on beyblades by reading the back pages of this forum over the past few weeks, but this question has alluded me and Christmas approaches.

Thank you for the help!

Bill
You could just use the Beylauncher LR without the grip, but it is better for most people if not everyone to have a grip, as it helps stabilize your launch.

EDIT: Any grip will work. It all depends on your preference. There is the BB-15 Launcher Grip, and the BB-73 3 Segment Launcher Grip. The BB-73 has a card holder, which absorbs the shock of pulling the Beylauncher, which helps, especially if you're going to use the Beylauncher LR. I personally prefer the 3 Segment Launcher Grip.

Thank you for your insight (and for the inclusion of model numbers). It is difficult for one, such as myself, to make informed decisions about things they have no first hand experience with. I appreciate your help!

No. I also found this and posted earlier in this thread. But I soon found out it wasn't.

Not a problem, sir. Do tell me if you have anymore questions. I would be happy to help you again.

No, it is not legit. It doesn't have the Takaratomy or Sonokong logo on it.

EDIT: Beaten by Aura.

I have a question myself. Is the BB-120 Ultimate Bey Ta stadium worth getting? I'm thinking not really. I just saw the prototype Nemesis, and I remember seeing that in the 4D anime, and I just got interested.
Has anyone experience with Wide Survivor and Defence?
I have them for sale, but i really don't know their real value in money!
Thanks in advance!

About $15-25 if Mint, but $10-20 if Used.

Thank you!
Both of them are Mint!
Thanks again Grin
Just to everyone who has mentioned Duo on the last couple of pages, especially CRU who said it was equal to Death but in a $70 set...

Duo is far better than Death, and probably better for defense/stamina than Basalt (basalt is a more three-way balanced wheel). It's not a good wheel, it's a FANTASTIC wheel, and to say less is an insult to it.

The other two wheels aren't too terrible, for LDG, I don't think I've got to the best combinations for it yet, I haven't had time, and for Wing, it seems passable defensively but I've barely used it.

@Ryu13: BB-120 is not really worth purchasing, no.

It is?
I didn't know that, I don't look around the customizations forum too often Tongue_out
It'd probably be nice if I read around that forum more, so I can give accurate advice.
Thanks for singling me out, too XD
Does anyone here have BB120? Th!nk, your comment has me thinking if it was a good purchase for my boy for the holiday.... He is 5 and he really wanted it since the day he saw it. I know that we will not get any competitive use out of it, but just wondering if he will at least enjoy it. Thoughts?

You misinterpreted me. I have $36 left to spend, but the Vulcan Horogium is priced at $20.

Don't worry, I was speaking entirely in the competitive sense. I'm am sure he will absolutely love it, especially if he's often wanting someone to play against, as the set basically provides that, and it looks like a really fun little thing! I know kids pretty well, he will enjoy it. Smile

CRU: Sorry for targeting you specifically, even I've made the same mistake before I got to actually do the comparative tests, but yeah, Duo is basically Death but way, way better. Better Defense, Better Stamina (second only to particularly heavy phantom molds, and even then it is a safer choice due to lower recoil), but it still has it's counters, so it's actually a really well thought out wheel, in terms of performance. It's attack mode is also loads of fun.
Awesome! I assumed that your earlier response was competitively speaking Smile I am looking forward to the big day! Grin
Hm, question:

Beylocker with Cetus or Beycarrier Hard Type? Which one is the better carrier?
(Dec. 15, 2011  3:39 AM)GaHooleone Wrote: Hm, question:

I hear the BeyLocker only holds like ten beys, while the BeyCarrier holds a wee bit more...
One is like a briefcase
The other is like a toolbox
The toolbox has a space for Launcher Grip+BeyLauncher+BeyPointer and an Angle Compass spot...
I'd go with the BeyCarrier, it looks cooler LOL
I've actually been debating on buying one myself, tbh, but then I'd need a season one grip (mah beautiful Three Set won't fit T.T) an Angle Compass and a BeyPointer so it doesn't look empty XD
Kthx.

Wasn't sure, thanks for the opinion. Grin That's my other Christmas present, along with my order from Jay.
You can buy better storage for them much cheaper at general storage places, though.

Try Dollar Stores ;D! I got my cases from there. It looks pro, and they're cheap !
Im thinking about buying my brother and I a plastic bey for his birthday. Which beyblade is cheap yet decent? I dont want to start being pros or anything, I just want 2 fun starter beys that he and I can have fun with without customizing them. He mostly wants a very long ripcord so what pack comes with a longer ripcord?
Dragoon G is the cheapest you can get(around $5-$10), and it comes with a long ripcord.

Any others? I want to get one with him.
Would these two be decent?
