For Hasbro, Beyblade isn't nearly as important.
Hasbro's very much like this with all their lines. They set an initial street date for the beginning of the line to coincede with a tv show/movie, and from then on stores are usually instructed to put things out as they get them. Hasbro's territories are much bigger, and less centralized than Japan to allow them to do exact launches which is why some things end up in other places quicker.

Back on topic. I think this Beyblade along with the other 2011 releases could see a different packaging design.
That's more or less guaranteed at this point. They slightly changed the design of the packages from the intial set, to the current ones (original was black, the later are blue). The 2011 line will likely be under the "Beyblade: Metal Masters" name (this is what Nelvana is calling Metal Fight Beyblade: Exploision! anime).
