[Product]  B-187 Starter Savior Valkyrie.Sh-7

I hope the rubber is soft enough to produce that grip similar to Judgement, unlike the hard rubber on Brave. Also hoping that the bound core won't screw up all the recoil because bound attacks don't really work, but considering how tall the Shot driver can get, layer to layer contact is out the window.

Really? Its supposed to be both? How in the world does that make sense?
I think it's Saber and they mistranslated it in the advertisement. Valt calls it Saber with a straight B (the hint of V that's in Valkyrie isn't there), Bell does the same, and the special move is called Bound Saber which again, is pronounced without any hint of V in it. We'll have to wait until the official product drops if this isn't convincing enough.

Well japanese is hard since you can even hear people say valt as balt or valkyrie as balkurie so b and v is really the same in Japanese
It’s been confirmed to be saber rename the title
The official site (beyblade.jp) says Savior Valkyrie, and I think it's much more reasonable to trust the official written translation than to go off an interpretation of what was said in the anime.
If it makes you feel better, call it Saber in speech. After all, that’s the real Japanese pronunciation. However, in writing, be sure to call it Savior because it’s more or less confirmed that that’s the name.

My bad didn’t read the pages before. Either both the names are sick imo

Let’s not talk about the name now it’s been confirmed

That's cause it's japanese pronounciation... same situation as how they pronounce Roar as Lower, or Fafnir as Fabinir, and probably numerous other examples I can't think of off the top of my head.

Also shouldn't an official ad and the official website be enough evidence that it's Savior?

In other news, the anime render looks alright. I'm curious to how it'll do with the bound gimmick irl.
Okay, fair enough. Guess I'll have to let go of the fanslation...saaaad.
So I get information about Savior blade gimmick from Corocoro. So: bomb in the bound of the horizontal spring. It's built into the DB core!! This spring expands and contracts due to impact , and it can work even if you are at high speed. Immediately after , under the spring the entire blade also rotate with returning force.

When you attacked by opponent , the spring contracts and the entire blade

This is gimmick of it

we've kinda known about that ever since the advertisement video came out.
After taking a closer look at the Shot driver, I'm hoping it'll at least be fun to use on joke/meme combos. Although, it looks like it has a sharp tip before it activates, so it might be easily destabilized...

Looks more like a semi-flat to me, not a sharp.
I'm probably gonna pre order so this is gonna be good
I really dont understand why everyone is writing the driver off as bad before having any clue how it will do on different layers. Generate, Hybrid, and Ignition have all seen competitive usage.
Also, the driver is shift, not shot.
I'm starting to get super confused with all these Saber/Savior names (BOUND SABER SOUNDS BETTER THAN BOUND SAVIOR!!!) But I guess it's Savior so every time we hear something that sounds like Saber it's actually Savior but what if they're actually saying, Saber? *Mind blows up*

Well you see we don’t think a jumping, high rpm spinny top that can explode is a good idea
Just pre ordered it

All I can think of when I hear Bound Savior is some knight guy that’s all tied up with a rope. Not something that should be an attack

LMAOOOOOO.

Also I made a lot of "shot" puns
Takara Tomy had one "shot" at making a good driver, I'd hoped it would be a "shot" in the arm for the Valkyrie line, however looking at the gimmick, there will be no "shot"tage of "shotty" (shoddy) performance. Looks like Takara Tomy's "shot" at this was more of a long "shot".
This Valkyrie driving will probably be falling "shot" of the expectations I had for the Valkyrie line.

The only thing that's new here is the jumping part, and its still not really new.

Looks like TT took a “shot” in the dark to find the name
