oh, okay, thx, that makes more sense lol

Apparently, that is actually supposed to happen. The rigid barrage points are meant to wear down/break off.
Quote:It is actually Saber. Japanese just pronounce foreign words very loosely to the actual pronunciation in those cases. The characters セイバ with セ=se イ=i and バ=ba. Romanized it's seiba. If it was savior it would have ヴィア towards the end for that more v sound (vior but said "via/va"). Saber Valkyrie is its name. The error with this Reddit comment lies in the fact that the "ヴィア" ("Via") is not commonly used and is barely present in the modern Japanese lexicon. "Savior" has been associated with "セイバー" for a long time - a pop culture example I can think of off the top of my head is the 1999 Gundam film "G-Saviour", or the "ZGMF-X23S Saviour Gundam" from the 2005 "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny" anime.
This thread can also refer to this Japanese Wikipedia page for "セイバー", which states: ""セイバー" is the Japanese pronounciation in Katakana notation of the words "saber", "sabre", "savior", and "saver"." This page also includes the usage of "セイバー" in pop culture, and differentiates the usage of "セイバー" in terms of "saber" (Kamen Rider Saber) and "savior" (Saviour Gundam). This is not a mistranslation by Takara Tomy but rather a misunderstanding of the Japanese language by fans.
I want to talk about Bey but not about name
As long as this Valkyrie doesn't have a bursting issue, since when awakened, the shape looks like Slash Valkyrie.
I recently watch Pegasus Jumper battle videos, looks like jumping gimmick on Valkyrie will end up being good, it has powerful attack when jumping.

I think because the attack points are actually filled in instead of being hollow, we might not have too much of a bursting issue.
If nothing else, the readdition of the Bound gimmick should aid it's burst resistance too. Seriously, that spring in God Valkyrie did more work than people seem to realize, and seeing it come back in the Valkyrie core is pretty cool.
How much will valkyrie cost?
With the Valkyrie core having a bound gimmick it might be interesting to see it in defensive combos as bound defense.
I was not expecting cores to have gimmicks.
Savior will be cool to see in battle.

I wonder if anyone knows the stats of the savior Valkyrie. If does I'll be glad to know.

But bound attack was pretty bad though, wouldn't it slow the bey down more than anything else? I guess I will give it the benefit of the doubt and assume that the bound gimmick will work better with the performance of a DB bey or maybe they have experimented with spring strength.

Attack wise a bound gimmick is iffy, but the same gimmick on a defensive blade, when we get a right spin defense type in DB, could work well.
The spring acts as a sort of cushion that allows the layer to slow on impact instead of stopping suddenly. Like the crumple zone in a car. Spreads out the impact over a period of time. In theory this would lower burst damage because the layer still moves on impact.
Potentially Cyclone Valkyrie could have some good use because of this idea.
But we will have to see how the bound gimmick in the Valkyrie core works.

I'm pretty sure the bound gimmick is something that's in the layer itself, but only active when the Valkyrie core is used? I just don't see any way that they could have a gimmick on a core and have it still fit on other layers, especially because we've already seen the official pictures of Valkyrie's parts, and the Chip doesn't appear to have anything that would accommodate a gimmick.

Well in the corocoro it was mentioned that The valkryie core has a small spring which can be used to make any blade have the bound gimmick. I dont know how it works or if its a translation error.

It's most likely a translation error, that or every DB layer that's been released so far has a secret bound gimmick built into them that nobody discovered (which doesn't seem very likely)
We ultimately won't know for sure until the coro coro video advertising Savior Valkyrie.
But if the bound gimmick is fit into the core then that will be cool.
I don't see how it could be in the blade but I might just be blind.

Ahh I never thought of it that way, that does sound pretty interesting. I guess it would be better to hope the spring is slightly weaker than.
On another note I gotta say, I think that the high mode on Savior Valkyrie looks better than low mode.

is there any pictures of the valkyrie on high mode?
or only on low mode?
