Also after all that Hype about gimmicks, I'm seriously disappointed in the driver and the Jet Ring.
Driver is because I wanted a ball driver, Jet because only spins in one direction, making me quite disappointed.

Takara Tomy is seriously getting more and more depressing with the let-downs they have.

Now let's not jump to conclusions yet, since the bey hasn't been released. We don't know too much about the Driver yet, outside of having a ring and maybe a sharp tip.

I remember a lot of people writing off Hollow as being a terrible Ring before its release, simply because it bares resemblance to the kD Layer but from what I can tell as well as some videos testing it, it seems to be doing pretty decently so far.

The same case could apply to the Jet Ring, the gimmick feeling like a bit of a step-down from tW Layer, but it could surprise us. I might be wrong, but we'll have to wait and see.
Marutti would tell us about a gimmick, no?

Yeah. They would. I guess the gimmick is like the inside of the layer has a free spinning disc, and when the opponent hits Wyron, the free spinning disc gives power to the outer layer, so, Wyvron, can attack back.

we do not need Marutti, and I'm also sure that actually he have nothing new to show us, because he always shares all his informations

Spoiler posted
No tip shenanigans showed off as I thought.
Wait how on earth did he get that clip from?¡ isn't it like for tomorrow episode end credit scene thing aside from that yikes I don't really like jet it looks weird irl
Is it just me or does the new wyvern look kinda odd in real life.... I don't know maybe it's just me

Description:
The ratchet mechanism of the blade is activated depending on the direction of rotation of the competing bay!

For right-handed bay opponents, free rotation! For the opponent of the left rotation bay, rotation absorption & intense counter!
Rotation Absoprtion makes me think it has rubber, but maybe not.
Now that I think about it even if the Jet ring spins in a single direction the free spin gimmick would still work against reverse rotating beys from time to time because the recoil would just push the free spinning layer backwards anyway.

So in a way it’s like it still has free spin against both types of beys.

Also, what’s this about ration absorption? Perhaps it could possibly have rubber after all, the ring does have some parts that look as if they are made of rubber. Then again, rotation absorption could just be another term for regular spin equalization kinda like the ratchet disk. We’ve yet to see the left spin analysis by takara tomy so who knows.

Yeah I think the color scheme just clashes too much irl and the shape from the side view is also looking pretty weird

I can kind of see what you mean although I still think it looks awesome. Maybe they should have painted the chassis instead of the disk, or maybe not. Still seems great to me.
I knew it wouldn't have any tip gimmicks. Interesting that it can only free spin against right spin beys. Also it looks kinda jarring in real life, not sure if I like it or not.
I mean, it's your opinion but I think it's a work of art.

Rubber also makes things interesting. Spin-stealing against left and defence against right? It has potential unless they Wizard Fafnir it and made the teeth hardly touch the driver.

Does it actually have rubber? Seems very much like it does but rotational absorption doesn’t always mean rubber.
I do think it has purple clear rubber similar to the rubber on Judgment or Lord. It's supposed to free spin against right spin and spin steal against left. We'll have to see how effective this really is. If it actually works like it's intended, I think this could be pretty good. Still curious to see what Js will look like.
I'm not 100% but I don't think the Jet Ring has rubber I feel like the rotation absorption part is just what is causing the confusion since I don't think in the part description they explicitly say that the ring has rubber featured on it, since in comparison Brave and Mirage say that the rings feature rubber but Jet does not.

Tho we might know soon for sure

Usually rubber is something to look forward to so if something has it you would think they would clarify or state that.

Hey you never know. Lord wasn’t specified to have rubber until it received an official description on the site but even still, this whole thing seems to be an important function so it would definitely be a bit weird if it had rubber and they didn’t point it out.

Hard to tell. I'm leaning more toward yes to rubber than "no". But who knows with TT
(Jan. 14, 2021  6:04 PM)EarthHelios Wrote: What is rubber absorption?

It’s actually rotational absorption. The problem is, that could mean a number of different things. A bey doesn’t necessarily need rubber to absorb rotation and in the past, tt has advertised plastic parts as having the ability absorb rotation as well.
