Whatever the legal repercussions are for posting leaked images, the simple solution is to not post them here or on the WBO Discord. If someone does post them, chances are that there will be a Moderator online to take it down before it can become a problem. Just be careful what you guys post and everything will be fine.

Keep in mind that a lot of the people here aren’t in Japan, so the law may be different. Thanks for sharing where your logic and thoughts were coming from though, it makes it much more understandable.

In the case of the average person on this forum, their posts shouldn’t be making any money, thus are considered “Free Speech” under the law. I normally wouldn’t say anything, but I am passionate and have been an arbiter of the law throughout my adult life and take it very seriously, so passing on some knowledge to people who may fear things they should not is important to me.

If anyone knows of a case involving a forum, or if somehow people are making money via posts here, then I would be intrigued to hear that argument and learn from your sharing.

Actually yes, I have studied the law as I’ve worked in both the Compliance and a
Advertising dept at American Express, my current employer.

Generally the “Fair Use Law” covers most reposting on social media. So while theoretically it COULD happen, it is hardly, if ever pursued once the official announcement/picture/release has gone public.

Leaks are 100% prohibited and if you’d like to be extra cautious, share the pictures AFTER release in a private way (email, direct messages, etc).

Anyways...let’s not derail this thread any further speaking about something off topic.

And marutti please do not direct negative comments to other posters or staff. Disagreements can be had without resulting to personal comments about people. That can lead to warning % as it’s a violation of WBO rules.
