Pokemon TCG

Can you show me the roserade you were talking about? It seems interesting.
So the Illinois State Championships are March 12th! Well, I'm goin'. Maybe I will crack the Top 8 this time! Just polished off my Deck List, so I should be good.
I'm running an SP Toolbox, can't afford Luxray GL Lv.X so using:
2-2 Garchomp C Lv. X
2-1 Infernape 4 Lv. X
1-1 Dialga G Lv X

with dark support to counter LostGar/VileGar

Honchkrow G
Weavile G
Sableye
Already got my Deck List printed, my POP ID from last year, and a bunch of dice to use as Damage Counters! I wonder what the Promo card will be this time. Last year it was a Gabite here. Before that it was Uxie.
Haha, sorry for the necro. Here's my deck.

I need help.

Before, I was kicking my brothers butt with my grass deck.

He had been using a fire, and now he improved it. Now I lose.

Anyone have any ideas on what cards could help me out. He inflicts lots of status problems(arbok Angry), and also has Pokemon with powerful attacks. Oh and those nasty energy removal trainer cards, and that rare candy. Man oh man.

I can post my deck list if that helps.
Use mine, I take out all decks exept Donchamp.
And post your deck.

25 Grass Energy

The main problems were the ones I wrote about in my last post.
Add Water or Psychic. One you choose, I will recommend Pokemon. Also give me the set names so I can see if the deck is legal and see which packs you need to get.
water, he has psychic in his deck. (guess i forgot to write that)

set names? i put the numbers after each pokemon name for that.
set as in which deck/pack i got it in?

if you search on google the pokemon name and number, it shows what set its from.

otherwise i have no clue. several are from several years back
if its below heartgold soulsilver, its illegal... I reccomend you buy the Verdant Frost Theme Deck. Its legal, and is water and grass. AND comes w/ bonus booster.

Today I got 104 Pokemon Black and White cards I got it all from EB Games.
I will edit this post with my updated deck. This is for ALL of you.

# of cards\Pokemon\Use\Set

Recycle-Flare
4 Reshiram (Main Attacker) BW
3-3-3 Ability Emboar (Energy Source) BW
2-2 Volcarona (Recycles Energy/Attacker) NV
3-3 Zoroark (Stalling/Counter) BW
2 Audino (Attacker) EP

18 Fire Energy
6 Dark Energy

3 Rare Candy UL
2 Super Rod NV
1 Energy search BW
2 Pokemon Catcher EP
3 Pokemon Communication BW

And now for the boring wall of text describing the deck and its uses.

This deck primarily focuses on the Pokemon Reshiram, Volcarona, and Emboar. Emboar lets me flood a ton of energy onto Reshiram(Or Audino)
So I can Keep using Blue Flare(Or Powerful Slap) again, and again. I have Volcarona in there for its Fiery Dance, which recycles the energy so I can attach it to Reshiram again so It can use Blue Flare again.(Thus, the deck is called Recycle-Flare). The Zoroark is in there mostly for its nasty plot, which allows me to stock up on energies, trainers, and the occasional evolution or basic. It is also there for foul play so when combined with Emboar it will destroy any Magnezone Prime based deck. This deck does not do well against the NV Cobalion, because of its energy press.
Just went to my local League to get some cards I needed. You guys should go to yours, it's a great way to practice and trade.
I go!

We represent Team Rocket.
We even have our own shirts, dogtags, and dice.

I usually hang out with the league leader.
He's a cool guy. Wears lots of black, and a large coat.

I often hold my tournaments right after the league, haha.

- EDIT- OOOOH
http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/V...Promo_119)
ME WANT.

We have two leaders.

One of mine is an actual Pokemon professor who give us sneak peaks.
The downside is he also knows the cards, so he expects a fair trade.

The other is a Poke-Fanatic. She is nice and strict at the same time.
But like the professor she also knows the cards, so she also expects a fair trade.

ATTENTION ANY POKEMON TCG PLAYERS IN THE USA! TARGET HAS BOOSTER PACKS FOR A $1.95 FOR BLACK FRIDAY
I got the Water one over two years ago, and the other a few weeks ago.

My league leader is actually going to give me a special badge holder to hang on my wall. I'll use it for future badges, seeing as I'm going more often now.

It's hand made, and is really nice. I'll make sure to add pictures of it :]
Okay so I just got back into playing pokenmon TCG again, and now that the black and white series appeared, I'm a bit confused. So what decks are a good first buy for beginners?
I have a colerless deck, and a electric/steel deck. I am pretty good at pokemon TCG.
For starters, I whould suggest a noble victorys pack(thick). It has everything you need.

I sugggest a black and white noble victorys starter pack.
Ugh, no.
If you're just starting (you have absolutely no cards) and you're looking to play at least semi-competitvely, get the HS Trainer Kit. It comes with 2 copies of Pokemon Collector which is a staple $5 card as well as a few semi-staples and an additional booster pack. The whole thing is $15, so you get good value.

After that, like in other card games, you should get a deck list and just get singles.

If you just want to start playing right away, get one of the prebuilt starter decks. It really doesn't matter which. I'm pretty sure all of them have at least some staples like Professor Juniper or Professor Oak's New Theory.
Is Cheren not a good card? I thought drawing 3 cards would be pretty awesome. I just don't see people playing it.
Cheren is played by some people who like the straight up draw without any sacrifice. Some decks, like Gothitelle, need this.

Otherwise, most people prefer draw supporters that dig further into the deck. Sage's Training only gets you 2 cards, but digs 5 cards into your deck, Juniper lets you draw 7 into your deck, etc, etc.
