Well, it's not that we forgot. I mean, things are a bit more active on the Discord. I just was supposed to write about all the decided stuff but got too tired, so some of us are missing information, here. Sorry. I'll try and get that done soon.
Message me whenever you may find yourself in need of answers to your questions regarding this site or Beyblade.
I just realized that my personal email does show up visibly on my end...
Along with the information risk, I feel like the doc has been pretty inactive, so if anyone wants to see the writing typed onto the Doc, the whole thing is here, as the document will be deleted.
Also, to double check:
Just to make sure the doc isn't available anymore

Foreword
Beyblade - a hobby that grew past being a hobby into a major pastime and competitive game in families and nations around the world. However, some people take it as more than just a game or sport. Beyblade for some is a lifestyle, a friend that remains steadfast and sympathizes with one's feelings, thoughts, emotions. The dual nature of this is what makes beyblade unique, good and evil, a tool or a partner. Some bond with their beys and others wish to break those bonds...
Prologue Act I
The train rumbled away as the blind blader stepped off the platform. He strode up the stairs despite being unable to see them, and carried on towards the shop. The blinking lights brought a smile to his face despite his lack of true sight. He went in, ordered some food, grabbed some coffee, and hobbled over to his table once more.
Finding his food to have been served already, he devours it, the aroma of herbs and other ingredients and an endless expanse of ingredients making it impossible to remain still before it. As he stumbles out, he lets out a click, revealing the surroundings in a white and black screen. Walking towards a streetlight, he hobbles to the front.
“Come on, Ranyi!” The blader turns and clicks again to see what's before him. A girl and an older boy. Siblings? Likely so. He smiles sadly, remembering his own sister when they had lived together.
Green man. He walks forwards, the neon man blinking to alert pedestrians. Suddenly, a squeal. He clicks again from the other end of the crosswalk, but to no avail. The sound drown his hearing in a cacophony before he hears one faint voice cry out:
“Move!”
A crash booms. People scurry towards the crash site as the blind blader stumbles forwards as well.
He clicks.
A horrific image arrives in the station of his brain, a morbid train of information. The girl lies wailing next to her brother, whose lower legs are near sheared off and in a bloody mess. As a white-haired man approaches the girl in a hurry, a police officer apprehends a violent man with auburn hair, who curses at the girl before being knocked out by the officer and shoved into the back of the cruiser.
Gradually, the crowd moves, the blind man moving along with it. Slowly, he tries clicking again, but the ambulance and its wailing sirens stayed long enough. He sends a voice message to his sister once at the hotel.
He tells her that he'll be there for her even if she is hated by the world itself---and that he would be ready to battle her in the upcoming tournament. Afterwards, he struggles to sleep, his eyes squinting anxiously despite their blindness as he ponders upon the three friends he saw in their tragic moment.
Kioke Hymen wouldn't see them until it was time.
Prologue Act II
I wake up, my brother shaking me awake. I stumble out of bed and reach out for my beyblade and my launcher. The launcher is clipped to my belt loop and I put my beyblade in my pocket.
I walk slowly down the stairs and bump into the counter in the kitchen. My brother makes us breakfast. Seems like a normal day, doesn’t it? After breakfast my brother and I practice for an upcoming tournament. After a short battle, my brother and I get ready for school. Just an average day.
Well, as average it can get when you are blind.
When we get to the school we hear about a traffic accident in Korea where a car ran over someone, crushing the victim’s legs. The news does not know the cause of the accident, but has assured us that the victim is now in the hospital and in stable condition. The day goes on, classes go on and finally end.
It is time for clubs. The beyblade club at my school meets in the gym. A stadium is brought out and I walk up to it. A few eager bladers choose to battle against me. The first one had P2.H.Y, A stamina type, I start with a ldddsdooleaunch that I always do. A simple launch, it just gets the beyblade into the stadium nothing more nothing less, and the two beyblades clash. P2 bursts, wasn’t that hard.
Then a set of twins walk up and challenge me and my older brother. The two twins get ready by tilting their launcher, my brother points this out, and we launch. My beyblade collides in the center with one of the twins beyblade while my brothers bey chases after the others. The other twins beyblade dives down for an attack.
The attacking beyblade seems to phase through my beyblade, this for some reason still surprises me, and hits the other twins beyblade. This flings that beyblade right up to my brother’s beyblade and knocking it out. The other beyblade stands it’s ground and grinds my beyblade until my brothers beyblade hits into it, slamming into my beyblade and flinging it almost out of the stadium and bursting my brother’s bey who took burst damage when hitting the other bladers beyblade.
My beyblade falls back to the center and hits the other beyblade, the beyblade gets knocked out.
“Who are you two?” the twins surprisedly ask. We haven’t seen your beyblades before.” I respond with, “My name is Vis Tordaline and my beyblade is iris Sonar.”
“I am Zac Tordaline and my beyblade is lyric Aeros,” my brother says. “And you are?”
“We are the Magada twins,” they respond.
“My name is Marcus and my beyblade is charge Hyperion,” one says.
The other almost cuts their sibling off saying, “And my name is Lily and my beyblade is just Themis.”
The two walk away and then a few other bladers challenge me, others challenge my brother. Then everyone leaves. My brother tells me that it is time to go back home and we do so. I hold Sonar in my hand and grin.
Prologue Act III
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! The alarm screeches.
“Okay okay, sheesh I woke up,” I mumble as I lazily slide out of my bed. I pick up my Strike Horungium and my LR BeyLauncher and put them in my pockets. I go to the bathroom to brush my teeth. I take out Horungium. It shines, as if telling me, I will talk to you later. I put it back in my pocket, and brush my teeth, ready for the day ahead.
After I finish, I go to my room to take out some clothes I usually wear when I go to school, selecting my usual leather jacket, a dark blue t-shirt, and some jeans. Afterwards, I take a cloth to clean my glasses. I go to the kitchen, seeing my mother and my breakfast on the table.
“Here, Hyper sweety! Your favorite, an egg and cheese sandwich!” my mom said.
“Thank’s Mom!” I exclaimed, already touching my plate. I wolfed down my breakfast so I could get some extra time to practice with my Horungium.
I raced to my backyard where there was an enormous bey stadium. I began practicing.
“3...2...1...GO SHOOT!” I yelled, wondering if people from across the world could hear me. Horungium raced across the rim of the stadium, with amazing speed. At that instant, Horungium’s frame went down and it went into a flower pattern.
“Hmm…” I thought aloud about Horungium when picking him up from the bey stadium. “Well, there is always a need for improvement!”
I looked at the time from my watch, panicking when I realized it read 8:25.
“Oh no! There's only five minutes left before school!” And with that said, I raced off on my bike to go to school.
Prologue Act IV
Beep! Beep! The alarm rang out. Snowy Okeanos woke up and yawned. Another day of school and training.
“Google, play my Wake-Up Playlist,” she called out, the Google listening. Snowy got dressed for school and walked out, tossing Freeze Boreas into the air. She suddenly dashed forwards, causing it to land perfectly in her backpack. She ran the rest of the way to school.
The clock struck 9:00 A.M. She waited, listening to one lesson after another. The clock struck 10. It struck 11, then 12, than 1, and finally 2, causing the bell to ring. She shouldered her backpack and rushed out of there, running with the other students out. The cold winter air greeted her as she left, biting wind blowing.
She kept running, not paying attention to where she was going until she was at the training place.
“Hi, Dan!” She greeted fellow blader and teammate.
“Hello,” he replied simply. He was frowning. “What’s wrong?” she asked, her smile turning into a frown.
“Didn’t you hear? Our rivals, Heavenly Trigram, won again!” Leo chimed in.
“Oh,” Snowy said, biting her lip. “Okay then, we can just keep training and get better!” she said happily, shrugging it off. “I was thinking a tag-team battle, but we need someone else to join us.”
“What about me versus you three as a team?” a voice said. Someone emerged from the shadows, wearing a hoodie that obscured his face.
“Okay,” Snowy said.
“3, 2, 1, let it rip!” Freeze Boreas took the center, using its Glacier Wall. The mysterious blader’s bey shot around the stadium and slammed into Freeze Boreas, flinging it into the air and out of the stadium.
“Go! Assassin Launch!” It zoomed around, hitting Magnum Thunderbird and bursting it. It zoomed towards Frostbite Λaestrygonian and hit, being sprung back.
The mysterious blader gasped as each hit was sprung back. “Impossible,” he muttered. They repeated, neither bey showing any signs of slowing. They clashed and the mysterious blade flew out of the stadium where the hooded blader caught it. He gasped and then seemed to merge into the shadows.
Snowy stared as Frostbite Λaestrygonian halted, the opponent being nearly as strong. “How could this happen to us?” she thought. But then she looked up at the sky, seeing the sun sinking towards the horizon.
“Same time, same place?” She asked them and they all nodded.
She ran home, staring at Freeze Boreas. “We are going to become the strongest bladers we can,” she thought.
Arc 1: World Tournament
Chapter 1
The leaves were aglow with a unique liveliness, a delicate sea of pinks as the cherry blossoms shed their vibrant hair for the winter. Arashi Shimizu strolled through the parkway, hair tousled by the wind. The dirt pathway was worn, yet more polishes than even the finest marble halls. It was a mixture of history, culture, lives---each and every foot that had graced it leaving their mark on the world forever.
As Arashi approached the beystadium, a wind rustled the leaves around his feet, making his toes wriggle. His ears twitched alongside his heartbeat, waiting, waiting, waiting…
“Hey? Are you Arashi?” a female voice spoke. He smirked.
“Weird meeting you here, eh? What're ya here for?” He stood up. “The famous Iris Makina, trying to make the big leagues. Well, I've got an itch to battle, so ready or not, start it up?” Arashi grabbed his launcher from his belt, then held his bey, Gale Susanoo, in his hand tentatively.
“It's time, bud. Let's win one for the team, ye?” he whispers, before equipping his bey to his green speed launcher, which glinted like an emerald in the dim sunlight.
“3...2...1...Go Shoot!” both bladers roar. Sparks fly as the beys clash in the flourescent park.
“Let's go, eh partner?” Arashi said. Susanoo swirls around the stadium as Iris’ bey, Tidal Leviathan, falls inwards towards the center. Suddenly, the oceanic bey tilts and spirals around continuously in an unbalanced manner.
“Just what are you planning, Makina?
“It doesn't matter. It won't change the outcome anyways, Arashi!”
“Eh, whatever then. Let's show off the power of our Gale Boost! Rush her, Susanoo!” Susanoo lands a powerful blow, but much to Arashi’s shock, it only serves to knock back the powerful attacker.
“What was that, huh? No springs, and you definitely couldn't fit a fan into that layer, so how?” Arashi inquired, bewildered by the sudden turn of the tables. Iris smirks. Her plan had worked, as Susanoo ceased to spin after a failed barrage of attacks.
“I don't get it, what is that girl doing? The bey is just sitting there eh, yet nothing happens, except the rolling…” Arashi trailed off with his muttering as he formed a plan to take her down once and for all. Again, both bladers ready their launches, Arashi readying an angled Gale Boost while Iris prepares a simple stroked launch, one that would sweep downwards from her right chest to her upper calf.
“3...2...1...Go Shoot!” the beys are unleashed once again as Gale Susanoo hits the spikes on its driver, Typhoon, and speeds up.
“I've gotcha, eh!” Arashi grins, as Leviathan flies out of the stadium into Iris’ palm. Iris stares at Leviathan for a brief moment then turns back around to face the stadium. A grin graces her lips as she readies the same launch.
“You remind me of a friend of mine. Too bad I know just how to counter this, then, Arashi.” The fiery-spirited blader also readies a launch, before both bladers let loose the famous countdown once more.
“We've got this, Susanoo! Gale Boost!” Once again, the fierce bey rushed towards the sea serpent.
Yet…
“What gives, man?” Arashi shouted. Leviathan had seemingly shot through Susanoo and out of the bey at a right angle towards the center, where it became stable once more.
“Again, ye Susanoo?” but again, the windy god zoomed right past the elusive sea serpent. Again and again the sonic bey soared right past its nemesis, which swooped and swerved back and forth as if floating on the tide.
“Argh! You've pushed me past merciful!” Arashi raged. “Now...now you'll face me and my partner's raging gale!” A leaf-green aura enveloped the young blader as he called out his most faithful move.
“Kusanagi no...Tsurugi!”
The gale-force bey began picking up speed as the spikes ground against the stadium. The sword even punctured the wall of the stadium as Susanoo stampeded towards Leviathan.
“We've got this, Leviathan. Tsunami Crush!” Iris called out. Leviathan swooped forwards on the bearing-encircled driver, then spun around the hurtling bey, driving it into the stadium wall where both beys burst.
Panting, Arashi shook his head. “Y-you've countered my masterful technique? You'll regret that, ye?” he muttered.
“Regret what now?”
Arashi whirled around, then ran off after retrieving his bey. He knew he couldn't face him yet…
Not yet...
Chapter 2
The scent of the sea filled Iris’ nostrils as she stood on the deck of the ship. It had been great in Hokkaido, but it was time to go back to Korea. She sighed. The cherry blossoms had been beautiful as well…
“Hey, is something bothering you?" Iris smiled, looking out towards the sea.
“No, Raos. It's just hard not to miss the cherry blossoms. They were so…”
“Elegant? Yeah, I guess so too.” Raos Azuki sighed, his white hair rustling in the ocean breeze. Raos had a deep voice, but not baritone. The last remnants of childhood sat within the depths of his voice, and they kept it young.
“So, how's Oraiyun, Iris?” he scooted over to the hazel-haired girl, the railing of the ship tilting and bobbing on the waves as they kept each other company.
“My brother's doing fine, Raos. He's in Busan right now on a business trip to help mom get the business some sponsors.” Iris sighed. She wasn't tired of the waves, or the friend beside her. Nor was she sick of assisting her brother, who was now legless due to an incident almost 6 years ago. She looked down at her beyblade, Tidal Leviathan, which glinted in the late afternoon sun.
“I guess I'm just...tired of being still. There's stuff out there to see and do, but…”
“But there's a puppy that keeps on circling your feet and hugging it and won't let go?”
“Yeah. I just feel like I'm tied to the place I was born in, and I don't want to just give them up for some dream I have. There's too many people who have dreams of a better life, or those who dream of new beginnings or actual beginnings as a whole. And it feels selfish just throwing away the opportunity to help them.”
She looks up at Raos, who had leaned in, staring into her eyes.
“What?”
“That's a great goal in life, but you know what my dream is?”
“Go on…”
“A hug!”
“Ahh, no!” Iris responded.
“Oh, come on! You never hugged me after third grade!”
“And I'm not going to start now!” Iris shot back, pushing Raos playfully, but a bit too hard, knocking him off the…
“Oh, carp! Are you okay, Raos?”
“It's cold---freezing, in fact! It feels like the North Pole and I'm a living popsicle right now! Get a ladder!” He yelled up, teeth chattering.
“Alright!” Iris shouted back. Throwing a ladder down, she watches as Raos clambers up, shivering. She throws a towel onto him, ignoring the stares of the other passengers, who gradually return to their previous activities.
After hugging him, she could almost hear his heart beat faster and faster as he dried off his head, the white hair puffing out in a wild manner once again as he grinned under the shadow of the towel.
“What is it now?”
Slowly lifting his head until their eyes met, he whispered one sentence:
“I got my hug, didn't I?”
Standing up straight, he held out his hand.
“Pay up, Iris! You lost the---oww! Stop, stop! Geez, it was one hug, alright? I'll stop teasing you! Oww!” As soon as the boat landed at a dock, he sprinted towards the nearest train station, trying desperately to evade Iris’ wrath.
Chapter 3
The train rumbled along as Kioke and his sister, Lima, stepped off onto the platform. Clicking his tongue occasionally, he approaches a local Greek cafe. Ordering a salad, he waits patiently, the mixture of smells and chatter creating a welcoming environment that embraces him.
He looks down at a sheet of paper, feeling the Braille dots that bump his skin as his fingers trace its message:
As per the departure of a team member and per your request, our manager has agreed to accept your person into our team, Double Threat, a competitive team representing America globally. We hope you enjoy your membership as part of this prestigious team, and that you find it welcoming.
“Kioke? Hello, earth to my brother? Yes, is there anyone in there?”
He smiled, looking down at the paper for a few more moments before realizing that Lima was looking at him and that the waitress had brought his salad. Thanking her, he dug in, the multitude of ingredients, from the croutons to the lettuce to thousand island sauce to the carrots fusing together to create a wonderful delicacy that left him feeling satisfied with a smile on his face.
It did that every time.
Thanking the waitress and the cashier, he pays the check before leaving the cozy cafe, leaving the fresh aroma and warm air to the chilly autumn air and the indifferent gusts, Lima walking alongside him.
“Look, Kioke. You don't have to join if you don't want to, just-” she stopped, hearing a series of grunts and kicks. “Just where is that coming from?”
Stepping around the corner, Kioke’s ears were assaulted with a cacophony of brutal sounds, each and every one growing more and more unpleasant than its predecessor.
“Little punk!”
“Antisocial freak!” The sound of bones cracking also met Kioke, reaching out its unpleasant talons to tickle his frayed nerves.
“Disabled piece of-”
“Hey, cut it. What's your problem anyways?” Kioke fiercely interjected, but whispering at the end. There wasn't much that made him mad, but this...this was below the belt.
This was humanity as its most primal self---an unrecognizable being of hatred and wild rage. A disgusting display of animosity.
“What are you doing Kioke, this isn't the time to be-”
“And you are?” asked one of the thugs.
“Yeah, just what are you to be bothering us when we're cleaning the streets of filth like this!” jeered a second man, with wild eyes and yellow buck-teeth.
“How about we give this trash a beating, huh? Shank him good and he'll lose more than just a few eyes he's already missing!” cried a third.
“And maybe take the girl while we're at it!”
All three rushed towards Kioke, who stood there, shaking. As the buck-toothed menace threw a sloppy punch, Kioke lightly blocked, ducking underneath the aimless blow and then pushing him away. Afterwards, the first thug kicked at Kioke, but a light click told the blind man all he needed to know.
Deflecting the kick, he lightly pushed the man’s leg downwards, causing him to stumble unceremoniously and fall to the pavement unharmed, if not dirtier than before from the ground.
Meanwhile, the third man shoved his knife underneath Kioke’s chin, breathing raggedly. Feeling the young man’s pulse grow rapid, he grinned widely, an insane light pulsating from within his eyes.
“Hah! You thought you could actually fight us, didn’t you! Well, this is what happens to---ummph!” Kioke’s leg shot out into the man’s groin, the owner of said groin proceeding to whimper in agony, holding his hands over his crotch.
“I-I’m sorry about that, I really am, b-but...if you hadn’t stuck a knife to my throat-”
“If you didn’t interrupt we would have taught that kid a proper lesson! Speaking of which, get outta here, kid!” the man spat, coughing once more due to the pain in his crotch. When Kioke didn't move, the man grew even more disgusted, though it was hard to do so when one was in such mortal agony.
“Fine. We’ll just have to beat you in a beybattle then, twerp,” Buck-Teeth muttered. All three men rapidly unsheathed their knife-like beylaunchers, attaching their beys roughly.
“As you say then,” Kioke nervously sighs. He shakily reveals his bey, Spark Vesta, the rustic red bey glinting as the sparks on its layer ignited into vibrant hues of soft orange flickering around the bey. Kioke fearfully sets the layer to “Spark” mode before placing the now aggressive bey onto his launcher.
Readying his stance before the rough stone stadium carved into the concrete, he silently eyes the men as all four bladers begin the infamous countdown:
“3...2...1…”
“Go Shoot!” Instantly, Spark Vesta rocketed around to meet the three opponents from behind, bursting them all instantly with its incredible speed.
“He just…”
“Did...that really…”
“Happen…” at once, all three thugs kneeled over and started begging Kioke not to hurt them. Lima suddenly frowned.
“Get up,” she said sternly. After seeing that the men had gotten up, she began speaking once more.
“That kind of behavior is despicable. I won't have you arrested by authorities, but I expect you to get a proper job, not your so called “cleaning.” That is abusive and doesn't help anything---not even yourselves. Now,” she paused, sizing them up. “How much money do you have on you?”
Shuffling through their grungy wallets, they pulled out $400, which was immediately snatched away by Lima. Handing it to the child, who could not believe his luck, Lima turned back towards the thugs.
“Get out of the alleys. Get good jobs, finish school if you need to. Help kids like him, who don’t have a home to go to, and help others. Feed them, clothe them, love them like their own parents. But don’t do what you’re doing right now. The only place that’ll land you in is jail.” Nodding, they turned around and left, picking up their beys and their remaining pride.
“Kioke, now I'll have a nice little chat with you on how to handle this kind of situation later on…
Chapter 4
Diary Entry 109:
So, yesterday, I met a kid. He's the really overactive, energetic type, but I see something about him. He has a shine in his eyes that no one else has had. I look forward to being around him, at least if he dosen't put me in front of any attention.
I close my journal, and wheel myself out of the front door. Mom's been a bit more lax ever since we moved here. I hope this continues. I love her, but darn can she get protective.
“OH NO! I'M LAAATTTE!”
Suddenly, a blur of red and black plows into me. I recognize him as the kid from yesterday, and start blushing.
“Hah, sorry. Have I seen you before?”
“...” I can't speak much Japanese, so I hand the kid a note. Even if I could, it's not easy for me to speak to people I've just met.
Yes. We have. Yesterday in class.
Takes him a minute, but he recognizes me. He sure is painfully slow. I sigh, and write.
What are you late for?
“Oh yeah. The name's Arashi, and I got a beybattle!”
He sounds super excited, and I can't blame him. Beyblade battles USED to be fun for me, back when... they weren't around.
Could you be so kind as to wheel me there? I study beys, and would like to observe, at least.
He looks shocked, but then nods. He takes the chair, but pilots it at breakneck speeds. Is this guy clueless?!
“I'll show you your place, you rat!”
“Oh ye? Come at me!”
This is very much not pleasant banter. I overheard that Arashi beat this guy's brother a day ago.
The clashing of the beys is astounding. Thor manages to outspeed Susanoo, but both dance around each other. The first match is a spin out for Arashi.
“That shows you.”
“I'M NOT DONE YET!”
Arashi has a shine in his eyes that shows his deep drive. Clearly, he's excited. He angles his launch in a way that I have never seen before. Oh! I see! He's taking advantage of the driver!
3! 2! 1! GO SHOOT!
Both beys go flying. Thor is quick to hit Susanoo, but it gets destabilized.
“WHAT!”
“Ye, lets go, partner! Show him who's the champ!”
Thor stood no chance. It's pieces clattering, it burst after a clinch hit from Susanoo. The kid left, swearing he'd win next. I then go up to Arashi.
Good job.
He smiles. “Aww, you don't have to flatter me like that!”
I realise I'm blushing. Well then. This kid is certainly interesting.
Chapter 5
“Ugh what a day” I sighed. I sat on the bench right outside of his school. I took out Horungium. It gleamed, as if saying Don’t worry, amazing things await your presence. Horungium was my go-to pal, even if he didn’t really speak.
I got up and began walking, but I heard the ever-present chant of a battle.
“3...2...1...GO SHOOT!” someone yelled from a distant location. I heard it coming from the bey park. I ran to check on the action. I saw two boys clashing, who were focusing all their energy into the battle. “Go, Dragoon!” The boy with the spiky white hair yelled. “Go, Susanoo!” The other boy called out. BAM! Both beys clashed for a while, before a double burst. Then they noticed me.
“Umm, hello,” The white haired one said. The other boy offered me his hand for a handshake.
“Hi, I'm Arashi Shimizu, what’s yours?” He offered his hand for me to shake it.
“Hi my name is Hyper, nice to meet you,” I replied, shaking his hand.
“Hi my name is Raos Azuki, nice to meet you, Hyper,” the azure-eyed blader spoke.
“Well, I like how you guys battled. Would you mind me joining in?” I asked.
Raos gave Arashi a kind of “should we” look. Arashi nodded.
“Sure Hyper, you can battle with us.” Arashi answered me. Hyper walked over to the stadium.
“3...2...1...GO SHOOT!” everyone yelled. As soon as Horungium launched, both bladers looked wide-eyed at it. Raos was about to say something but Arashi interrupted him with his special move.
“Susanoo! Go for it! Gale Boost!” Raos also used his technique.
“Dragoon! Nova Storm!” Raos shouted. It was time for my turn.
“Horungium! Striking Driver!” Horungium tilted the slightest bit, then, the wheel on its driver spun really quickly and it made Horungium fly out of the stadium, straight into the air.
Meanwhile, Susanoo and Dragoon was clashing in the center, both doing their special moves. Horungium did his move. Arashi and Raos looked at Horungium, wide-eyed again. Horungium dived in the center, entering the clash but hitting Dragoon’s and Susanoo’s layers! Every bey was near their last click, and the bladers pushed harder.
“Horungium! Don’t let me down!” I pushed.
“Susanoo! Don’t give up!” Arashi yelled.
“Break through it, Dragoon!” Raos shouted. At that instant, all three beys went to their last click and bursted, pieces spreading everywhere. The bladers lied down on the concrete floor, exhausted from that epic battle.
“That...was…-” Raos started. Arashi and I interrupted.
“EPIC!” They both said simultaneously.
“Wow Hyper, how did you make Horungium do that? That was amazing!” Arashi exclaimed, admiring Horungium’s special move.
“Well, you really just need the right calculations x=b squared…” I explained while making Arashi bored.
Raos seemed to understand it, he seemed to think that battle as a joke, even though he liked it. I saw the look in his eyes, which scrolled over me several times as if searching for some potential. “See you later Raos and Arashi!” I replied, while saying good bye. I started walking home.
When I got home, i was very startled seeing my mom right on the front door, looking very angry.
“HYPER!” My mom yelled while rushing to hug me. I tried to resist but she didn’t let me. “Oh my goodness! Don't you know what time it is?” She started flooding me with questions and I could not get out of it.
Chapter 6
Vis and Zac, who insisted to tag along to keep an eye on Vis, are waiting at the airport for the potential fifth member for team Double Threat, when two people walk up.
"So I am guessing you two are the ones we are here to see?" one of them asks.
"Are you two here for team Double Threat?" Zac responds.
“Yes, we are,” they respond.
"Then yes you found the right people,” Zac replied. “My name is Zac Tordaline and I am the fourth member of the team. My younger brother over here is Vis, the third member of the team."
"And you are?" Vis asks.
"My name is Lima and my brother here is Kioke. He is the one who is here for team double threat," the person replies. Vis says, "Ok, now that that’s settled, let me show you around."
"Just follow us," Zac says, chuckling.
Kioke and Lima follow Zac and Vis around to a beystadium in a park near the beach.
"This is a good place to rest. How have you been liking the coast so far?" Vis asks. The two siblings say that they like it and Vis gets his beyblade ready and launches letting Sonar spin in the center.
"This is a good stadium, it is close to the sea and is quiet. until a beyblade battle happens that is." As Vis says this, a few bladers walk up to the stadium. Zac tells Vis about them, but Vis doesn’t budge.
"Leave," one of the people says.
"Why? Are you warning me of something? What do you mean?" Vis responds.
"We mean leave the beystadium,” a second person says. “Beyblading is a seeing man’s sport." Vis grins as Zac assures Kioke and Lima that his brother would be okay.
"Want to test that theory?" Vis asks, getting his beyblade ready. "I would say tournament rules but I don't think you know them. So instead, how about this? You three will battle in a battle royal and the winner will go against me first to two points. Got it?"
The three people launch their beyblades and the winner is quickly decided.
"The winning combo is Xeno Xcalibur Triple Xtreme am i right?" Vis asks, grinning. The blader is shocked, but says yes. Preparing an Echo Boost, Vis and the other blader launch. Sonar charges into the opponent, bursting X2 before it lands on the ground. Vis opens his eyes and stares at the blader with an unnerving grin.
"Burst finish. Two points, I Win." The three people run away and Kioke is amazed. Vis makes a click sound then turns to Kioke. "Now about your tryouts, We will deal with that when we get to the rest of the team." Kioke is startled by this statement but does not complain.
Chapter 7
While the entire world was preparing for the upcoming storm of bladers, two black-haired girls were walking down an avenue in Pennsylvania. As they passed the city’s crowds, no one noticed them. They wore simple shirts and skirts which made them look like any other normal citizen and blended them in the crowd. But hidden underneath were two wide range pistols in addition to a pair of dangerous beyblades of Burst types. They were discussing things which if heard by non-bladers would be declared as utter insanity. But the girls knew that it wasn’t some fictional, lunatic fantasy but a destined future that would bring in the most serious catastrophes humanity has ever experienced.
They came to an abrupt stop in front of a dingy lane and went into it. Walking into an old, tattered warehouse, they made two click sounds. A tall guy, dressed in a hoodie emerged from the darkness.
“Your gang is said to have the best bladers around. We challenge those freaks,” the younger girl spoke.
“Who are you? Why do want to battle my gang?” came a rough reply.
“Bring the bladers or –” A gun emerged from her pocket. She aimed it at his head. “Now?” she asked. The man laughed. “So you do have some courage. Come Mikhail, Andy, battle her. ” He called. Two figures loomed up and the match started in a standard beystadium. But even before the opponent had the time to plan anything, the girl made her move.
“White Winger, help them out of the stadium,” the girl said in a low voice. Instantly, the purple bey rushed around the black beys and hit them hard. Both the beys flew out of the dish, bursting in the process.
The leader was stunned.
“I will battle you,” he said. The older girl walked up to him.
“I will take you down,” she said. The match started with the gang leader’s yellow bey circling the black bey, which spun proudly in the centre. The yellow blade attacked but astonishingly, the attack was reflected back. For the next minute, no one made a move.
“Dreadwing, get her!” Once more, the yellow bey attacked its opponent under its master’s command. A blue bitbeast emerged from the bey. The attack was a very, very powerful one. The older girl smirked.
“Lady Harpy, hold that tasty chick,” the girl whispered, licking her lips. The attack came… and…the entire attack was REFLECTED!! The yellow blade flew out of the dish and hit the wall straight. It shattered to pieces, excluding the God Chip.
“Weaklings don’t deserve bit-beasts,” the girl muttered as she went and picked up the chip.
As they went towards the airport, the only conversation that was heard between them was, “Let’s go. Boss is waiting. The hybrids have to be successfully…”
Chapter 8
Raos Azuki stretched his arms out wide as his mouth grew to become a gaping maw, his body sitting up alongside the incline of the sun’s burning trail in the sky.
8:00 A.M. This day would be perfect.
As the white-haired blader made his way downstairs, he bumped into a picture frame. When Raos thought about it, it seemed as if there weren’t any memories without Iris. He stared at the pictures for another moment, then thumped his way into the bathroom. Raos washed his face briefly, then reached the kitchen, where his mother was rinsing several vegetables and heating up some miyeok-guk.
“Morning, sleepy-head,” she teased, before pulling a seat out for him. Raos complied, mumbling about the few miles he’d have to run before reaching the train station. “Hey! Could you stay awake for just a few minutes?” she joked, reaching out for his head as he ducked.
“Gotcha, mom,” he chuckled, before settling into his seat, praying, and digging into his meal. The seaweed went perfectly with the warm soup, the chicken complementing its taste. Raos was almost breathing his food, when he finished eating, guzzled some water down his throat, and then rushed to hurry back to his room. The energetic youth had almost made it to the short hallway, when suddenly…
“Hey, Raos! You may be interested in this. That hobby of yours may just pay off then, eh?”
“Wait, what?” Raos questioned, turning back around to meet his mother at the doorstep of the apartment. Before the door lay a simple pamphlet, which had an envelope taped to it. As his mother went back inside to shower, he read the initial letters of the pamphlet under his breath. “The WBBA’s Korean Division…why would they send this to me?”
“Well, it's not exactly just us, Raos, is it?” a voice asked.
“Gah! Iris, what are you doing here? I told you I’d come over to your place to meet up!” Raos jumped, startled by his friend’s sudden appearance. Clinging to the railing, he slowly let go of the cool metal and looked at the letter’s contents.
“The World Beyblade Battling Association invites you, Raos Azuki, to qualify for the Korean team Heavenly Trigram. We hope you would like to join this prestigious team, as well as represent your country in the World Tournament. This letter has also been distributed to several other skilled bladers locally, regionally, and nationally, as well as globally. Thank you for taking your time to consider our request. WBBA (Korea Division).” Raos stared at the letter for a few moments, before crumpling the paper in his hands and wrapping his arm around Iris. “Well, then, let’s go on ahead, shall we?” he teased.
“Oh fine then, let’s go,” Iris grumbled, before moving Raos’ arm away.
Iris simply facepalmed as her obnoxious companion followed her towards the WBBA headquarters nearby. The building was composed of an escalating glass wall, that spiraled upwards towards the organization’s logo, while a screen played previous battles on a loop. Strolling into the proud complex, they immediately spotted a large beystadium in the middle of the floor.
“Well, that’s neat! I wonder why there isn’t any line?” Raos inquired, bewildered at the lack of more waiting. However, that question was soon forgotten when another man, around the age of 21, had entered the building as well. He wore a white mask that covered his entire face, and a “Y” shape ran around his face, each line lining up with his eyes, nose, and mouth. Only his dark hair and ears poked out from behind the mysterious veil. Another person entered the building as well, a blader named Aurora Hamasaki.
“So, why don’t you start then?” she asked. Noticing that she pointed to the beystadium, Raos followed the path of the icy blader’s finger and noticed a boy sitting at the edge of the stadium he hadn’t noticed before. The boy’s deep red hair hung over his eyes and swayed in the slight breeze. Opening his rose-red eyes, he stood, grasping his launcher tightly.
“Should we begin then?” he drearily asked. “I’m not the most enthusiastic to see you, but father knows better than me, I guess.” He tightens his grip on the launcher.
“Alright then. But I should have you know---I’m not going down that easily,” Raos smirked. Readying his typical launching stance, he placed his left foot before his right, he lifted his launcher just above his right ear.
“3...2...1...Go Shoot!” Both beys rocketed towards the epicenter of their arena, scarlet and royal blue trails streaking from their drivers.
“Fling off the assault, Beowulf!” The ironclad bey stood its ground as Dragoon smashed into it, before knocking the blazing dragon out of the stadium in one fell swoop. The bey clattered to the ground helplessly, as Raos walked over to it and picked up his partner.
“What was that about earlier? I thought you said you weren’t going down easily?” asked the rose-haired blader. He shifted uncomfortably, before looking around the room. Apparently finding no sign of worry, his twitching fingers relaxed, before settling on the launcher peacefully once more.
Taking up his launcher once more, Raos eyed the blader as he shifted something on the layer of his bey---Beowulf, was it? Both bladers readied their launchers once more.
“3...2...1...Go Shoot!” both bladers roared. As Dragoon rocketed towards Beowulf and hit it, the layer seemed to swirl, as Dragoon’s attack was negated.
“I’ve got it! Nova Impact!” Dragoon’s ring scorched the stadium floor as it clashed with its opponent. The angled strike allowed it to throw Beowulf from the stadium, filling him with a sense of deja vu.
“Interesting. Your bey, Dragoon. It’s just full of surprises, isn’t it?” the boy chuckled, before shifting his layer again. Both bladers prepared their launches as the beys were released. As Dragoon struck Beowulf, the latter bey accelerated, leaning on its driver before shifting back to the center.
“I could say the same about your bey. That spin stealing technique---there’s only one other bey I’ve seen with that ability. But that only makes it easier to beat you! Roar, Dragoon! Nova Storm!” As the bey sped up, the rubber ring struck the stadium, catapulting the dragon forwards.
“That won’t help you out! Beowulf!” As the two beys smashed into each other, Beowulf clicked several times, then smashed into the stadium wall before losing balance. It scraped the floor several times before bursting. Soon after, Dragoon clatters to a stop.
“Well, then. That’s a lovely bey you have there. And what skill! I didn’t think you’d have the ability to take out Fyleon here!” a man slyly fawns. He lays a broad hand on the rose-haired blader’s shoulder---Fyleon, was it? Raos narrows his eyes. This guy...just what is he? The stout man had a bulky frame---not muscular, but certainly not obese. His eyes twinkled kindly, yet had a frightening intensity to them.
“My name’s Horace Walldeen and if you’d just wait in the foyer’s side room, I’ll have a talk with my son here...he and I just need to have a moment.” Winking, he began sidling off towards a rec room in the back of the building, when Raos spoke up.
“Wait. Then Fyleon is---”
“No, no. He’s his mother’s child, after all. I’m his step-father. I believe you know your cousin, Fyleon?” Fyleon nodded, turning pale each passing second.
“Hold up? What do you mean my cousin?”
“Well, I’d better be leaving. I’ll fill you in on details later, Raos.” Turning around, the stout man guided his child towards the room. The white-haired blader narrowed his eyes. Something was off...
Chapter 9
Vis and the rest of Double threat walk into the stadium building. Interestingly, it turns out they were up first. The team they were against first almost looked like a last-second entry, their strongest blader being a short kid with an interesting beyblade. Vis was sent up to take the first point, their strongest blader meeting him at the stadium. As Vis and the blader exchange beyblades to inspect them, the blind blader taps it with his finger, his posture hinting curiosity. Afterwards, the two bladers return each others beys and get ready to launch.
Vis does his test launch as they release their beys. The opposing beyblade bounces up and lands on Sonar the moment it reaches the center, knocking Sonar away while bouncing again.
"M2.1.Q. Interesting," Vis mutters. "This will be quick. Rolling Counter." Sonar tilts onto the slope of its driver. Getting hit once more, Sonar began to roll, turn around, then strikes M2 in response. This causes M2 to slam into the wall and lose a lot of spin, as well as click twice. When M2 falls to the center it is met by the accel frame and bursts.
"Iris Sonar wins by burst finish. The score is 2 to zero, one point for Double threat," the referee says.
Zac stepped up next, being greeted by a tall girl with a pink J2.H.Br. Both bladers inspect each others beys before preparing to battle. Zac sets lyric Aeros to defense mode before tilting his launcher. They launch and the ring of spikes on Aeros' driver causes it to accelerate, smashing into the other beyblade. Due to the low friction, the J2 gets knocked out.
"lyric Aeros wins by ring out finish, the score is one to zero,” the referee said as they prepare to launch once more. This time Zac holds his launcher flat and intercepts the J2 at the center and keeps knocking it away. Eventually, the stamina of the J2 won out as Aeros clattered to the ground.
"Jail Jormungand wins by survivor finish, the score is one to one,” the referee proclaims. Zac switches to attack mode and tilts his launcher. They launch, a wind up allowing Aeros to burst the J2 with a strong attack.
"lyric Aeros wins by burst finish, the score is three to one. one point for Double threat," the referee says.
Meanwhile, Kioke chooses to go next but gets hit by a sneaky burst from the M2. Lily reassures Kioke that it wasn't his fault as she opposes a blader with a black and gold L2.7B.U. The two bladers launch and Themis who is tilted on the side of bearing to do the pendulum launch rocks up and down the stadium in a arc, intercepting the L2 and knocking it away into the wall bursting it.
"just Themis wins by burst finish, the score is Two to Zero. Final point for Double Threat. Double threat is the winner of this round,” the referee says.
After congratulating each other the team goes to watch the rest of Round One. Vis listens into the battles and is interested when the team Heavenly Trigram beat a rising team. Something about the beyblade called Dragoon makes it quite interesting...
Chapter 10
Six days after the odd evaluation test, team Heavenly Trigram was prepared and participating in the World Tournament. As the glaring lights blind the bladers, along with the deafening roar of the crowd, the assembled team walked into the arena. They had recently flown to their next match, against another team seeking the same goal: reach the finals.
“So who should we send out first?” Raos asked. Their time was running out, their nerves waiting for the harsh whistle to blow. At that point, it would be too late. Somebody would have to step up and represent their team eventually. It was at that moment that Baldur interjected.
“If you’d be kind enough, I’d like to propose my plan for this match-up. I’ll go first, then we can send in Fyleon for the next two rounds.” The masked man beckons for Fyleon to come forward. Despite the obvious signs of timidity, the rose-eyed blader makes it to the bench, sitting next to Raos.
“”
Chapter 11
“Hmm.” I was lying down on my bed, just after my mom scolded me---and all that stuff the mothers do when they don’t see you for a long time.
I was thinking about that azure-eyed blader I fought.
Raos Azuki. That guy was so unpredictable. First he was extremely relaxed, then he was serious. Who was this guy?
Ding.
My mom opened the door and called from downstairs “Hyper, a friend of yours is here to see you!”
Huh, who?
At first, I was extremely confused. After a few seconds i realized it was that other kid who I battled along with Raos. He was really fun to battle with. I ran down the stairs to see Arashi at the door.
“What’s up,” I greeted Arashi, giving him a slight nod.
“Hi Hyper!” Arashi said enthusiastically. “Guess what I got in the mail? An invite for the World Tournament! I assume you got one too!”
Is this kid insane? I thought. However, when I walked over to the mailbox, I noticed a letter with the WBBA seal. Opening it in disbelief, my eyes flashed over the contents. It read:
Dear Hyper,
You are invited to the WBBA World Tournament. This will be a team tournament. You have to make a team of three bladers. Make sure you train a lot because you will need it!
Sincerely,
The WBBA
I stood there. I was so surprised that my words that I were about to say came out as:
“Agh-Er-Ashgk.”
Arashi finally snapped me out of it.
“Better choose your team now, catch you later!” As he went back to his house, I raced back to my room. I took out my phone and I called Vortex and James. I explained everything that happened in the last 15 minutes. They agreed to being in my team, so I knew that we had a chance in this tournament.
It has been 6 days after I got the letter, and today was the start of the tournament. I can’t believe I’m saying this but I am SUPER pumped for this tournament. I met James and Vortex at the WBBA main bey stadium. “Sup” we all nodded. We took out our beys. Strike Horungium, Ice Jetris, and Geranium Vesuvius. We put them in the middle of all of us.
“Slashing Victory!” I said, just when it came into my mind. “This is our team name.”
“Sure!” Vortex and James agreed. Together we walked into the beystadium, ready to face our first opponent.
“Welcome everyone, to the WBBA World Tournament! For today’s battle, it will be Slashing Victory vs Icing Mind! To win a game you must earn 2 points--in other words, first to burst is out! The first team to win 3 games wins! Captains, choose who you will bring out in the battle first!” The announcer said.
“Oh gosh,” I mumbled. “I’m the captain that has to made important decisions. Well then, guys I’ll just send myself out,” I said. With their agreement, I sighed in relief. I decided that when I already went up to the stadium.
“Woah! Both teams are sending out their captains first! It’s Bobert vs Hyper, Uranus Breaker vs Strike Horungium, this will be a fierce attack type battle! Who will-”
“Are you finished?” Bobert interrupted the announcer.
“Um, ok sure.” The announcer said. “3...2...1...GO SHOOT!” Everyone in the room shouted. I pushed my launcher forward when I launched. Horungium instantly hit the wall of the stadium. Gaining speed, it hit each wall in 5 seconds. It finally gained such speed it quite literally rocketed towards Uranus Breaker.
“HORUNGIUM! BURNING CLAW STRIKE!” I shouted, doing my special move. Horungium hit Uranus Breaker, bursting it instantly. “Hyper gets 2 points with a burst finish! Slashing Victory wins Game 1.” The referee announced. I went back to James and Vortex. I slumped down on the bench.
Aren’t these bladers strong? I was really up for a challenge... I thought, disappointed. I pointed at James. “You go out next.” I said. James went up to the stadium.
“Now it’s a stamina type vs a defense type, wow! James vs Inus, Jetris vs Irabur, who will win!? Let the battle commence!” The announcer said. “3...2...1...GO SHOOT!” Everyone shouted. Jetris and Irabur clashed in the center, which I thought was boring. Irabur hit Jetris hard and Jetris hit back, and burst Irabur. “James gets 2 points with a burst finish. Slashing Victory wins Game 2!” The referee announced. James came back to our bench, and I got up from the bench, and I went out in the stadium. I couldn’t believe it, but I was slouching. I took out my launcher, and put it into the side setup. I held my launcher 6 feet away from my body, something that I never do. An azure aura washed over me. I didn’t wait for the announcer to say stuff about who I am battling. I was battling Bobert again. Time to get over with this trash. “3...2...1...GO SHOOT!” Everyone yelled. I pushed my launcher forward. Horungium hit the wall, gaining speed, then landed on his wheel, and instantly went over to Uranus Breaker and burst him with immense Speed. I looked at his surprised face, and smiled. “Uh-” the referee started but I walked out of the stadium, to my house.
Chapter 12
I sat on the grass, looking at the bright sun. It feels good to have some alone time, not in that whole crowded stadium battling with all that stress. I was staring at the sun, when i saw a shadow over me. It was Vortex. He looked really serious. “What’s wrong?” I asked while getting up. He was really sweaty, he was obviously training alot. “Hyper” He said calmly. “I wish to battle you.” “Ok I accept your challenge.” I replied. This is gonna be interesting i thought. A grin spread on my face. “LETS DO THIS!” I yelled. We got to the stadium. “3...2...1...GO SHOOT!” we yelled. Vesuvius acted extremely different. It was like acting like no normal type. Horungium chased down its prey. “Horungium! DO IT!” For a moment, I couldn’t see anything. After all the smoke from the clash cleared, I saw both beys lying OUTSIDE of the stadium. Vortex is serious now… I thought. This is gonna be harder than i expected. We launched again. Ringout #2! #3! #4! #5! #6! #7! It was ringout every single match! After 25 ringouts, we were too tired to even stand up. We launched one more time. Vesuvius was chasing me down this time. “Vesuvius! CRUSH HIM!” Vortex yelled. Smoke filled the whole block! It took me a minute when I realized that Vortex, had split Horungium into half.
