Early this morning my grandma suffered a stroke. Due to this Im moving the tournament forward 1 hour to it now starts at 12PM it will not go past 2PM. This is so I can visit my grandma tomorrow afternoon with Spoonigan.

Ive been in 2 minds on deciding to pospone this but if we start an hour earlier it will allow enough time for the tourney before the visiting hours open.

Venue: Leazes Park (Band Stand Area) Newcastle (NE, UK).
Direction from St James Park
Directions from St Jamses Park metro station.

If anyone is travelling from out of the area I would reccomend using the tye and wear metro service to get to st james park metro station.

We will be under the band stand if it decides to drizzle. If anyone has an umbrella I would sujest bringing it just incase Smile

Format: Block round robin MFB only. (HMS plastics will be allowed in free
battles)

Without Passport £3
Blader Passport holder Free

Banned parts:
Standard WBO rules apply, no worn parts, no Libra wheel, your parts will be checked if they're behaving in an unconventional way.

None of those. It is "first to three".
Best out of five effectively is first to three, as you need three out of 5 to be able to win.
Last time, the tournament was almost exactly 2 hours long, was it not? And I think that included wandering round all the local shops and buying all their blades Tongue_out

It depends, sometimes people could be confused with ties.

Yeah but the tournament would have finished earlier if I din't get lost in john lewis Pinching_eyes_2

I've been checking for the weekend and it's looking like some light rain but then again acording to weather guru's of the bbc it's supposed to be raining here today and there isn't a cloud in the sky. So it looks like our regions weather is predictable as usual which means still bring those brollys people.
Hahaha yeah. You lot coming round the corner just as the lift doors closed on Newt.. Priceless!

It's been lovely and sunny over the past couple of days - hopefully it can stay that way just a little longer...

Great tourney, ended up winning 5, losing 4 and losing in the semi final to the eventual winner, so not too bad : P Looking forward to the next one, grats to the winner (Y)
Who won XxUnicornoxX
Thanks for the 9 people that showed up Grin I know it was cold today but thanks for putting the effort in Smile

1st Sam (isnt on this forum yet.....) (He won a Rock pegasis)
2nd TraceKaiser (Won a Flame Saggitario)
3rd Newt, Unicorno

Im happy I went 6-2 beating Sam in round robin and beating kaiser too but he got revenge in the semis Unhappy (should have changed B to SD)

Pity Black_Rose decided not to play today because im sure that he would have got to the finals or won. Thanks for choosing to help manage the tourney with me to day.

Wouldnt matter dude. We are all friendly if you needed help or advice we would give it to you. It doesnt matter about your age anyone is welcome in the Newcastle blading community.
I am glad this event went well and that you got enough participants. Hopefully this really is only the first of a series of tournaments for Newcastle.

I'm guessing we're just waiting for the people who weren't registered to register before we update the points??
I'll have the photos uploaded tomorow as for future events in Newcastle our weather is notoriously bad during the winter so it may be next year before the next tournament but I really can't speak on newts behalf about it.
i hope the weather is'nt bad next year tourney in nc i wasnt aloud to go out bcoz of the annoying newcastle weather
Had a blast again today, thanks everyone for making it so much fun. (:

The weather was a bit of a pain, I don't think many of us were able to feel our hands by the end of it haha, but it was still a good afternoon IMO. Definitely looking forward to whenever the next one will be. (:
