I’ve been doing some research on these “midfake” Beyblades, and these are my findings. Please do not hesitate to correct any incorrect information or provide additional info.
First off it seems that these midfakes are only present during the metal era of beys.
These Beyblades come in boxes and sometimes even launchers and tools marked with the Takara Tomy logo, but are not legit. I have no clue how they get away with this.
The midfake boxes are generally slightly faded compared to authentic ones. You can tell if a bey is a midfake by looking at the bottom of the box. If it says A0813 as shown in the provided photo, it is almost certainly a midfake.
Beyond the box, midfakes are generally of lower quality and have jagged edges on parts such as the fusion wheel, as shown in the picture below.
I’ve also noticed that every legit Beyblade I have looked at has either BB and a number for metal fusion/masters and A and a number for 4D on the inside of the prongs the clear wheel goes on and the face bolt goes through. The midfake beys (at least the one I have) has something either the same or different on it on the bottom of the fusion wheel not on the prongs. See pictures below.
I don’t know who makes these or if they contain toxins such as lead, someone else hopefully can answer that for me.
I apologized if this isn’t meant to be under general, please let me know if it should go somewhere else.
