In the end, the Blader brothers Mega Blader and Coded Blader came away with first and second place, respectively. The brothers are veterans of local tourneys and even conduct their own open tournaments, which goes to show that experience counts! Third place went to TheHentist, another experienced Beyblade veteran who showed us his moves and his souped up launcher complete with LED sight.
The Winners
Showing off their prizes ... Mega Blader, who got to choose first, picked the safe bet Shinobi Saramanda SW145SD (you can tell he's just going for top-tier parts here!). His brother Coded Blader got to pick next and gambled with a Random Booster Vol. 1, Thief Phoenic E230GCF. We're not sure what he ended up getting, but we hope he got a rare pull! TheHentist was left with a Pirates Oroyja 145D, which suited him just fine since he was looking forward to getting that particular stamina bey, anyway! Congratulations to the winners!

The Top Four
Special shout out goes to Zargonica, who narrowly missed a prize finish by making the top four but getting outclassed by more experienced players. This one is for girl bladers everywhere!

Zero-G Winner
We also held a side event for a Guardian Revizer 160SB, using both Zero-G Attack Type and Defense Type stadiums! The side event was intended for Passport Holders only, but we decided to open up the event so more people could join in on the fun! There were a brother and sister pair who didn't make it to the main event (they attended a Bankee Tournament first and followed after) and joined in. A total of sixteen players participated in the Zero-G side event, which was a Double Elimination format where players would get to play at least 2 games per match in either an Attack Type or Defense Type stadium.
It was a thrilling event with seven-year old joshjugo going undefeated all the way until the Finals and meeting up with six-year old alfonsokian, who took the long route after joshjugo defeated him in an earlier round. It was sweet revenge for alfonsokian who also lost to joshjugo in the regular tournament round, winning 3-0 (2 in Attack Type, 1 in Defense Type), to take home the newest Zero-G beyblade.
*As a side note, the youngsters who emerged in the finals actually owned Zero-G beys and stadiums, which indicates that some experience with the format helped, allowing them to beat out the regular tourney veterans!

The Participants
A great big thanks to everyone who helped make the event a success. We'd like to give our thanks to Albergus Catering/La Piazza Events Village for generously lending us their space and even providing refreshments such as iced tea and pastries to all participants! Our hosts were absolutely gracious, even lending the use of their PA system and had staff attend to us. We had participants of all ages, from the young (a four-year old girl) to the ancient (her dad ... me!).

Too bad you didn't make it to the main tournament, but we hope you had fun during the Zero-G side event!

Bankee tournaments are quick, single elimination events that are over very quickly. they hold tournaments very often, every Sat-Sun at multiple venues. only Season 2 beys and earlier. it's great training, though, obviously, because the winners are all trained in that system. and of course even Neil, who wins lots of them on a regular basis.
alfonsokian, your son's really cute! Tell him to join our facebook group here: http://www.facebook.com/groups/303167936429487/
I'm sure he'll tell everybody to look at his photo there also haha!
Hope to see you all again soon!
If you guys are feeling generous, please feel free to share the winning combos used

I really, really wanted to learn from it myself, but I guess we got caught up with just having fun.
It's definitely on our to-do list for the next tournament.
