Winter's Chill

London, UK - 20 February 2016

Ah, 2016. It's only the second month in and it's busy as heck! Of course, us London Organisers are busy too! Presenting monthly tournaments, still in the cold of Regent's Park bandstand, but soon, plans for a change of venue are underway... Hopefully next time we will beat Winter's Chill...

The Chill of Winter

2016
LONDON
BLOODY FREEZING
Remember to wrap up warm... Grin

Time:
The tournament itself will start at 12:00pm, so as a guide, aim to arrive for 11:30am. The Tube and public transport services are not very reliable, so plan your journey well in advance.

Location:
Regent's Park. We shall be at the Bandstand like ye olden days.

Directions:
Here is a map of Regent's Park. Head to the area marked Bandstand. We suggest taking the London Underground or Bus to Baker Street.

Tournament Format:
Burst Format. We will be doing Round Robin, seeing as we have a small participant pool. But hey, more battles, more fun! Block Round Robin if we get over 12 participants, so be ready for either!

Price:
Now, all participants must pay a £3 fee for the tournament. We accept cash only!
If you have a valid Blader Passport, entry is free! Blader Passports can be purchased on the day for £10 and last a whole year! Absolute bargain!

Prizes:
Sorry, no physical prizes this time, but credits and Faces will be awarded!
Remember that by winning the most consecutive battles in this event will grant you an exclusive Face, the Shard of Amaterios. Collect 3 Shards of Amaterios to awaken the legendary Beyblade Amaterios Aero Assault and claim it as your own!

Hosts and Judges:
This tournament is being hosted by Manicben, somewhat of a veteran and tournament host. I have chosen -HB- and Ultra (depending on numbers) to be judges this time round, due to their support and experience. If you have any queries, either here or on the day, feel free to PM Manicben or talk to one of us on the day, we would be happy to help!

Important Advice:
Despite being around friends and rivals, please remember we are in a public park. Bad behaviour and swearing will not be tolerated and will result in a ban from future events. Please keep your personal belongings with you or in a safe place while at the bandstand. If you see any personal items left around with no apparent owner, please hand it in to a judge, so we can return it to its rightful owner. Your cooperation is much appreciated.

Remember to turn up on time. If you arrive later than 12:10pm, your place will be forfeit and you will not be able to participate.

Message from the Hosts:

I might also have a few layers I'm willing to part with PM for details.

I may be interested; I shall be sending you a PM right now!^-^

Already reserved the Neptune if that's what you were after.
Unconfirmed please, hopefully I can attend that day!
Yeah I will make an apperance but I'm gonna hafta borrow some parts as I only have metal beys

But can I still bring some metal beys just to have some side fun
Count me in!

Also I'm gonna bring some metal beys for some side fun
That's fine mate. But I'm not sure if many people will bring any MFB beys, and I don't think anyone will bring a BB-10 stadium either. Bring em anyway, but just letting you know that you may/may not have anyone to play MFB against for side fun.
Change of plan with selling.

I'll be making random boosters. Lots of parts in a bag including Excalibur £6 ago PM for more details.
Apparently it's gonna be raining pretty bad on Saturday, are we still good to go ahead?

I should think so. The bandstand generally does a good job as a shelter.

As long as we're fine to share the space with the karate masters like we usually do, we should be golden.

@[ClaraM] we could always give it a try? Im sure they'd love to have a bunch of us channel our inner Bruce Lee.

I'll just get a chair to stand on and none of 'em would stand a chance. Don't worry, I'm sure they'll have a GPS you can borrow so you'll be able to land some hits lol

I love how I miss the stadium like once 2 years ago and it still haunts me xD As a side note I got myself and angle compass. I might just fill my grip with them and miss on purpose haha!

Oh @[-HB-] with regard to what Clara mentioned about the martial artists, your tournament should start at 1 or 2pm, just so that we don't clash with them. There's a chance they may not go cos of the rain, but... Well see how it goes.

@[Manicben] We'll see how it goes tomorrow and we can make the call then.
Good luck with the tournament everyone! I hope that none of you get karate-chopped. XD

That actually sounds like it could make for an epic Beyblade versus Karate battle hah. I would go for it.

We have plenty of "ammo" to launch at 'em. Bring it on! Grin

I plan to record this time round (I'm heading to Argos to get a 64GB SD card for my camcorder) and get some good footage. There's something special planned, but no hints. Grin

Anyway, to whoever gets there first, if the bandstand is clear, occupy it ASAP. If the martial artists are there, stay close by at the benches. If it's raining go to the bandstand and take shelter, even if there are people there. The martial artists are nice and will let us play there.

There's a slight chance I'll be late due to detouring to Argos, but I'll try to make it on time. See ya'll there!
Morning guys we'll be leaving soon. Safe trip everyone!
Sadly my burst have not arrived yet so I do not have anything new; would it be okay if I could do dome borrowing at today's tourney?^-^
Yeah that's fine mate. See you here

Soz for double post.

We have relocated to near the Ready Money Drinking fountain in the East side of Regents Park. Its about a 10 minute walk from the bandstand. Check maps for how to get there.
Sorry I couldn't be there but afterward be sure to post the final rankings so we know who To look out for next month Smile
Awesome day once again dispite the cold and the awful trip home but anyway. Was intresting to see how balenced and unpredictable the matches are with out Odin in the mix. As always @[Manicben] never fails to impress us with his various projects and prizes. My trophy has its place with all my other stuff now Wink I'll have to step up my prize game for the 5th Smile I'll get a full report of today typed up later. My winning combos are below too! The tournament was very interesting, that's the best way to sum it up
Manicben and Balance blader; if you two don't mind sending me the footage you guys took so that I could edit a video but that's only if you two do not mind.
