It's about half the world away from you, literally.
I can play the drums pretty well. I'm also a capable bass player.
It's been 3 months since I got my guitar, I'm really progressing fast. The 4 years of bass I played before helped a carp load.

You know something like that won't stop me
Anyway, my sister got a guitar from a friend. I tried playing it, but I just can't move my fingers to do the frets. It just feels awkward. Meh, one of these days I should figure it out.
i'm getting a job this summer solely to buy a new amp,
and maybe a delay pedal too
either way its gonna be dope

Got into the selective chamber/performing orchestra at my school (Sterling Strings) which gets hired for gigs around here. Here's a vid of us haha
You've got some really decent violinist there. That was really good.
This is the guy that instructs my guitar teacher.

I play classical guitar. I can only play that play that movement of the song right now, and not at all very well. Just learned it earlier this year.
Anyone who thinks the baritone ukulele doesn't have a beautiful sound is an idiot.
I miss mine~

Never heard a baritone ukulele.
I also never got the point of ukulele's. Can't you just use a capo to completely alter the tuning of a guitar and play the same stuff with a wider tonal range?

Ukuleles are also fabulously portable and you don't need any fancy add on toys to make them play that high. One of my favourite things to do in middle school when I was home sick was teach myself how to play blues songs on the baritone, and punk on the soprano. Still got my soprano, haven't played it in years.
I re-wrote the opening of the song "The Patient" by Tool for my first boyfriend's birthday but he was a carp and never had time for me to play it for him. ;p

A baritone ukulele sounds kind of like a a deeper mandolin.

I liked the first video the most, but this is much cooler:

Ukuleles are smaller than guitars, but guitars are certainly not that hard to carry around, and their add-ons are usually very inexpensive. Also, those cool little add-ons allow you to do some pretty cool stuff.

He didn't really need a capo to play that piece. The thing is though, is that piece was originally written by a Harp player, so using a capo allows you to emulate a harp better by letting you play on open strings.
Try doing this on the Ukulele XD

I dare you to find a 30$ guitar that sounds as nice as my 30$ soprano ukulele (when it's tuned lol)
Hahaha!!!
You've got a good point there.
My guitar teacher dropped around 6 grand on his instrument.

Won't stop ME! I'll use my vacation time to play that set!
Speaking of expensive instruments. This dude I know dropped something like 11 grand on his drumset...and he plays in a punk band. It's ridiculous.
I play an instrument. I play the cello. And I rock at it. Yes I do.
You really play the cello? That's sick. Is it difficult? Fun?
jasonresno Wrote:You really play the cello? That's sick. Is it difficult? Fun?
Yes I do, first chair. Its so-so. I sucked at it at first...but then I figured it out I actually have to press down on the strings My fame sky rocketed from there. The only hard part is learning to control the pressure of the bow and vibrato.
What type of music do you play?
I heard stringed instruments like the Violin, Viola, and Cello were really difficult to play.
I played violin for a couple years, so I know first hand that it's hard as hell to play. Guitar hasn't been much easier.

I played the violin for 8 years by now. I'm really good at it too.
I'm starting to play the guitar.
I've tried the drums, and I sucked at it.

I can't remember if I posted it in this topic or not and I'm far too lazy to go back and look, but I played trumpet for 6 years starting in 7th grade.
I was first chair Sophomore through Senior year. I miss playing trumpet honestly, but my trumpet is broken so I couldn't play now even if I wanted to. lol
