Yes, you read that right, Spinoff is back on!

After a little negotiation the guys at the MCM Expo have agreed to give us some space for the tourney. Awesome, right? Now here's the hard part: forget everything you have previously heard about Spinoff. Seriously, it'll just confuse the hell out of you. Let's start a fresh, okay?

Okay. Spinoff is now a two day event. It'd be great if you could make both days but if you can only make one then that is fine too. We will have the main tourney on Saturday 23rd. It is scheduled to start at 12:00. This may be pushed back till like 12:30 if people are stuck in queues, etc, but no later than this. If you want to take part you must have registered before then. We will have free battles and demos to the other Expo attendees on both the Saturday (when we're not doing the tourney) and the following Sunday. We may have a mini tourney on the Sunday, depending on the number of people.

The actual tourney will start at roughly midday on the Saturday. If you've put down that you're coming and I can see you're not there then I can wait a bit but I'd like to get it started around that time. I'll post a picture or something later but for now, my number is *number deleted because you don't need it anymore*. Use as appropriate (running late, can't find us, etc.)

As Spinoff is now being hosted inside the Expo, you must buy a ticket. You can either buy a Fast Track Ticket that will allow you early and relatively queue free access to the event, or you can turn up on the day and buy a ticket when you get there. However, if you do this then you may have to wait in some pretty long queues. For that reason, it is advised that you order tickets in advance. For more inormation, please look here: http://www.londonexpo.com/show_information/tickets.html

Transport to the Excel Center is easy as it has very close train and DLR links. Just start at the Excel Center and work backwords to your house! If you have any queries on how to get there then please PM me so I can help you out. Alternatively, this may be of help: http://www.excel-london.co.uk/visitors/travel

It would be nice if you could PM me or post to say you're definitely coming but if not then don't worry. In any case, spread the word and bring along as many friends as you can!

If you have any other questions or queries please ask here or PM me. I'll be sure to answer quickly. If it is a smaller question I would appreciate it if you PMed me rather than spamming up the thread. Thanks a lot in advance. Wink

Obviously the most important part is that we all get to meet and battle each other, but, as an added bonus, we have some prizes. Wink

~Saturday~
1st Prize: 4x RBV2
2nd Prize: 3x RBV2
3rd Prize: 2x RBV2

~Sunday~
1st Prize: 1x RBV2
2nd Prize: 1x RBV2
3rd Prize: 1x RBV2

For those of you who are curious, RBV2 is a pretty awesome RB. Most of the blades in it have good parts, and there's the chance of getting a Libra which is obviously a staple part. Here's what you could win:

Aquario 105B
Aquario DF145SF
Bull DF145HF
Libra 100F
Libra D125HF
Pisces D125BS
Virgo 100B
Virgo 125BS

It seems an attendance list is necessary so.....here we go. Joyful_3 It'd be great if anyone who is 'unconfirmed' could confirm whatever their answer may be as soon as possible. I do apologise if there are any mistakes, I'm sure you can understand that with all the 'it's on', 'no it's off', 'no it's on', 'no it's off' stuff, it is a little confusing. ^^;

I am hesitant to put any more than that. I don't want people to be put down for something they had no intension of going to and then people getting annoyed at them for it. ^^; Who knows, I may have already put too much. :X

As you can see on page 12, Espio is working on another list but let's wait a little till that's updated here. :3

It was nice out in the hallway though, I'd almost forgotten what sitting on a floor, and breeze felt like XD

What the.........? Chocked_2 Why were they huging each other? This does sound pretty funny though.
Going to go with most hilarious since that kid didn't go more than twenty seconds without making a smart arse comment, or standing directly in front of someone when they were trying to launch XD

Arms around each other, one arm with a camera out Tired Think it might have been to show they survived the thing expo.
Oh no Rocky, there's no point trying to make a more northern tournament. I'll drag my sisters carp down to London with me Cute
She''l be at London's textile/fasion uni (or whatever it is) by October anyway so i'll have a place to stay!
Your sister is going to Central St. Martin's? *_____________*

Uhmm, I dunno what it's called but that rings a bell. I should pay more attention to what she says...

If she is, I am so jealous. It is a seriously amazing school that has produced some absolutely incredible designers.
Congratulations to Rocky, Blitz and Espio for pulling off an awesome event. Espio looked shattered by the time he got back to our group's hotel room on Saturday night, so respect to all of you for sticking with it. Organising that round robin on Sunday, looking after all of your own individual equipment and promoting what you could must have been insane.

I had a great time, I wasn't really expecting to play (I left straight from my house in Uni, and unfortunately all of my blading collection is at my parents house) but Newt let me borrow one of his so i could join in. Seeing so many people, having a laugh and enjoying themselves was great to see after so many years. Even when we were forced outside, everyone stuck around to see the end result too - which is always nice.

Hehe, the kid with the beanie was insane! Sneaking back into the Expo with the guards on his tail, forming rivalries (and generally winning his matches!) made me laugh all day.

I took quite a few pictures with my camera. For some reason the focussing wasn't working properly for a lot of the shots, but i'll see what I have and upload the best. Again, thank you to the organisers and congratulations to the winners!
How was it overall? Sounds like it was great fun.

And how was the rest of the expo? I've never been to an expo in the UK.
The Expo in London is always a blast, but Saturday was uncomfortably busy for me. Tons of guests and stalls to check out, but the sheer throng of people can make it hard to really take a good look at something. Sunday was thankfully much more mellow ^^.

I haven't really looked through any of the images yet for quality, but this is them all uploaded: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jetsetnick/...687766105/

If you want any at the original file size or w/e, just give me a PM. My camera's not great and by no means am I a photographer xD
Definitely looks busy.

Cheers for the pics, still looking through them now. :]

What? You're camera looked awesome. You certainly looked all professional and whatnot.

Lmao, stadium wall. After the first day, the stadium wall found it's use (wanted to prevent more crushed HFs). We did also have a stadium on the floor with a towel (in matching purple) under so we had some RF battles in that, which was fun. Also, banking is still possible with the wall. It's notas bad as everyone makes it out to be. XD

Mm, just finished looking through the pics. Thanks Nikku, they're great. Joyful_3
Great pics Nikku. Grin
Yeah good pics , you should be a phtographer, you would be good at it.
Lmao, everyone always shot early. But it was at the same time so no biggie.
It was like a simultaneous impatience, the scary thing was the number of times it happened!
Maybe beybladers think alike Chocked_2?
I don't know. I'm so used to playing with a countdown of 3...2...1 and got 3...2...1...GO SHOOT. Good pictures though Nikku =D.
Yeah, it was weird. Although, I don't think Rocky and another person were expecting my "321goshoot!" to be so fast when they time it right. I'm impatient and want to play as fast as I can.

Although, sometimes I just sort of mutter and we end up launching at the same time anyways...
My hair looks so bad in those photos I really wish I had taken a pair of straightners with me to expo now. But it was a killer weekend and I enjoyed myself so much but it was weird hearing everyone shout espio when i've been calling the guy by his first name for years now. I got a pritty sweet pull out my RB aswell.
It was pretty weird. I'm not to bothered about it though. I quite like being called espio =D.

Had a much bigger turnout than I expected. Although hectic, it went really well.

When I emptied my collection to work on a combo and sort some for lending, within seconds I got swarmed by people asking to buy them n' stuff. And that repeated the second I was given my RB's.
I think, the next time we hold an event. I will get INtoy to provide some samples and some bits to sell to the public, as well as leaflets. I'm sure they would be fine with this. Anything I do sell will be at sale price so we wouldn't make any money/profit from it.

Lol, I did even know your really name so I just used that and it was call being called Zander. Cute

Nice pics Nikku.
This might sound dumb but i was assuming your real name was espio lol, but that's what i get us to do at the aussie tournament's to make things easier (call eachother by their account names) however the aussie community is rather close and we know most people's names anyway.
