I’ll be bringing my standard, limited, and classic stuff as well.

Although my standard stuff is quite outdated.

How so?

As we approach the tournament day, please keep checking here for weather updates. There is currently a 24% of rain, and this event is not rain or shine. I’ll give updates on how the weather is looking tomorrow and Saturday morning.

And a side note, if anyone has any mats to put under stadiums, please bring them.

You know I've got us covered on infrastructure. Two tarps, weights for tarps, mats. I might even pick up a nice level.

Oh. You know what? I should probably check: Level chips are banned, right? I ask cause a lot of Hasbro layers have room for level chips in them, and those are strictly TT.
CheetoBlader keep us posted on whether or not the tournament tomorrow will happen. So far it looks like we might have a little overnight rain, and up to a 40% chance of rain during tournament hours. I'll head down there tomorrow morning and try to arrive by noon, or a little earlier, unless I hear otherwise.

Just seeing the question, but if I recall correctly, level chips were allowed on Hasbro layers.

Of course. If it’s raining tomorrow then it’s off but if it’s still like 20% to 30% and it’s not raining, then it’s on. I’ll give a final call in the morning.
Well if you're gonna allow Level Chips on Hasbro layers that support them, they will get used.

I don’t think it’ll make a huge impact, perhaps a bit more burst resistance though.

I do suggest parking in the Dolley Madison Library parking lot, as it has a direct entrance to the park and where we’re playing. Hoping we can snag the gazebo.

Hopefully we don’t get rained on tomorrow, see y’all then (hopefully)

If you're going to give the call, now's the time. People will start heading down there soon enough, depending on how far distant they are. It looks like the rain forecast goes from 15% at noon up to 34% at four, but never higher. I can live with those odds.

It’s definitely still on. Chances are good now.

Looking forward to seeing everyone there

EDIT: My dad and I will arrive there at 12. If anyone arrives before us, please wait patiently, or if you’d be willing to, please grab the gazebo.
Wait so in case of rain is the tournament still on. Also, are we going to be under a pavilion of some kind or something around those lines in case it does rain?

There is a gazebo that we’re hoping to snag, but it shouldn’t rain. If it does mid tournament, we’ll have these options: wait it out, play in the gazebo, leave, or ask to play in the library game rooms.
Wait so none of these rainproof locations are confirmed?
We never really have confirmed rain proof locations unless we pay the county extra to rent places. Most counties aren't actually renting pavilions and such right now, and when they do it's very expensive and generally not worth it. In silver Spring for example, no one is officially renting those pavilions, and we're just very lucky to get access to them when we do.

I'm here. It's cloudy, but it's not rainy.

No, not really. I do think we could get the gazebo though.
You guys think we’re still able to go?
(Aug. 07, 2021  3:47 PM)Marioomg Wrote: You guys think we’re still able to go?

Perhaps, I’m not cancelling it just yet though.
The gazebo is definitely in use by a large-scale event at this very minute. Looks like a wedding or something.

We're not going to be able to use the gazebo. We Don't have it reserved, and whether or not the other group that is currently using it has it reserved is moot. We will have to rely on there not being rain. I'll probably hang around in my car until more people get here.

Edit: All the weather forecasts are predicting a much more significant chance of rain at this point. Oof. I am here, so I'm going to stay here until this gets called or it happens.
Remember everyone, the weather is looking very mixed. If you attend you run the risk of getting rained out. By attending you accept that risk.

Attention everyone we will be playing inside the library
Oh... Huh. That's weird. The... I asked and it kind of sounds like the library is going to let us use the meeting room? Starting from noon. So... as long as we keep the noise down... we have a spot out of the potential rain to play?

And that's good because outside I am definitely feeling raindrops.

And we're in. Meeting room 2 right near the entrance. Be kind, keep noise down. Library and all.
CheetoBlader Sorry if I'm bugging you, but, is the tournament going to be recorded?
So far 7 people have shown up. We're inside the library. Anyone else planning to show up? If you're gonna bail for weather (no longer an issue) please at least say something.
I'm bailing because of the weather.
Can you please give a notice or at least have a plan B the day before so some of us can actually go next time!!
