True. Though I think Down needs bit more testing as from my experince it has similer/more stamina compared to Knuckle and burst less. though in this case Knuckle would be still better as weight will be closer to contact point which is good for better attack.

The test is I2 for defense, upper defense to be exact. I2 has force smash contact points weaker than tN and I noticed that I2 will bounce when that contact point gets hit and it will take less burst damage and knockback compared to a direct impact. Down allows for balance and does not obstruct the sloped contact points.

i heard it plenty of time that down has more burst defense than knuckle but knuckle has better stamina also knuckle seems to be quite on par with spread for raw stamina in kjrules testing but i will ask him to do down vs knuckle mirror

ok then but change opponent to r 4g x or maybe vAriable cuz variable is easier to control

Then it might have a use in the upper defense combo
