Here are some tests I did with Fafnir F4. As far as the weight goes, I got 15.09 grams when weighing the Layer. I tested its Same and Opposite Spin Stamina against Balkesh B3, Caynox C3, Fafnir F3, Garuda G3, Kerbeus K4, and Spryzen Requiem S3.

If the part being tested doesn't stack up to its opponents, that doesn't necessarily mean it's outclassed overall. It just means it probably isn’t as good when compared to its opponents in whatever specific thing I’m testing for. Sometimes though, more tests will need to be done in order to get more information to find out what exactly this part can be good at. These tests I’m doing are just the baseline information to tell me whether the part is better at something when being compared to another part or if it needs to be tested in other areas to find out what it can be good at.

Final Thoughts (Click to View)

I was already going into these tests knowing that Fafnir F4 didn't have any rubber and it also had pretty bad Burst Resistance. But to add insult to injury, its Same and Opposite Spin Stamina seems pretty bad as well, which was kind of surprising. There were also ties here and there in the Opposite Spin matchups but Fafnir F4 still didn't win much. I expected it to do better against its Same Spin opponents due to its weight but I guess not. Weight may be an important factor but it won't always guarantee that you'll win the matchup. But of course, these are just a few things that Fafnir F4 has been tested for. There’s always room for more testing as it can help us find out if there are other things that Fafnir F4 could be good at. I'm probably going to resume the Astro, Artemis, and Aether testing soon™.

What parts do you think could improve Fafnir F4's Burst Resistance? Just looking for some advice on taking a stock F4 and getting some better performance out of it.

The only ways to increase the burst resistance are:

Using a lighter disc (thus less inertial force is passed on the layers slopes) or - better -

Using a driver with a strong spring. You can find out which of Your drivers have a strong spring. If You feel a stronger resistance while turning / assembling the driver, that means it has a strong spring.

Stronger springs have Bearing and Flugel according to the opinion of some bladers here, but you should try it out because there are slight variations between the different series of a driver.

Read the rules on testing, you need to use a standard TT stadium for testing because all tournament battles happen in that stadium.  So, don't test until you get one or ask someone else to do the testing.
