No Hasbro doesn’t do Random Boosters or Random Layer Packs

The Micros were for people that couldn’t afford the normal BEYBLADE
I got Forneus F4 yesterday, and i'm impressed. the layer is incredibly smooth, with decent slopes. reasonably tough to burst, could have some use as a stamina layer. 0 is great, of course. Yard is really good. The spring is as tight as atomic, if not tighter. the extra weight helps a ton with ko defense. The ball is smaller than orbit, and it has no "brakes", making it a stamina driver comparable to atomic, and not too far behind bearing.
Some positive news:
It seems like Leopard keeps the gimmick. Additionally, we'll be finding out whether Phoenix does, as well (Zankye will probably have it over the next two weeks and likely Ilinnuc shortly after).

There’s probably a chance that because Roktavor R4 utilises Metal to have its gimmick and if only plastic the gimmick becomes too similar to Roktavor R3, they make it so the gimmick does not work anymore to prevent imitation.

It's the same gimmick anyways, just in different materials. It could easily just be plastic and not really matter much. If Hasbro's fine doing it for R3, I don't see why they'd just strip out the gimmick for R4 when it'd probably take more manpower redesigning the wings to be immovable than in just leaving them intact.

It’s much more strange too for Slingshock series God Layers, as Galaxy Zeutron Z4 not only imitates the gimmick of Zeutron Z2, but doubles its ability, but Hasbro’s all like “Nah, remove it” and remove it for no reason. It’s also strange that Guardian Kerbeus K4, Spiral Treptune T4 (and that’s that) do not have abilities related to past Beyblades- Oh wait, they’re just abilities involving different materials, no wonder they’d remove it.
It’s like Hasbro’s a One-type-plastic-only company, don’t you think?

I say Guardian Kerbeus suffered the least out of the 3 Switchstrike layers, with its ability being absorption with the same plastic as the Jerk Disc and removing it and making it part of the under layer mold doesn't affect it too much, with Galaxy Zeutron suffering the most excpet for the removal of Planet. Planet is just luck based.
Planet is terrible all-around. If the balls ever get misaligned (which is pretty common) it basically just wobbles a bunch and falls over due to its own poor design. I'm not disappointed to see that it didn't get made, especially since Weight is altogether stronger despite being its predecessor. The twin ball gimmick of the layer also didn't always seem to work as intended, but even then it's disappointing to see it missing given that they have done it before.
Guardian Kerbeus never cared about its different material gimmick, and it only caused fragility issues since those chain pieces always seemed to break, unbalancing the whole layer when they did. It really doesn't matter performance-wise, although I will say Hasbro has never done POM drivers so it's highly unlikely that they'll ever do something like that for layers either, which means this is probably the most expected change.
Spiral Treptune's rubber also did very little since it's way too sturdy and stiff, so its absence once again means little in terms of performance and overall doesn't matter much.
Really, the only part that I'm sad to see changes is Zeutron's layer. Everything else either doesn't matter or was so terrible that I don't care about its absence.

My mindset almost to a T
I just don't agree and this is coming from a fan of the Turbo line (somewhat?).
Beyblades have a wide range of appeal depending on who is purchasing them. Looking at it from a collector's standpoint, I'd say Zeutron Z4 is a significant downgrade in quality. The yellow paint, dull plastic, non-painted disc, etc. Treptune T4 is incredibly unappealing and almost seems like it's unfinished. Kerbeus K4 (ugh) seems the least visually unappealing but the paint job, especially on the orange plastic they replaced the gimmick for, is terrible (it's dripping based on some videos! Unacceptable).
Beyblades having unique qualities and creative points definitely add to their appeal. Orb Egis, the stock combo, is bad, yes, but it's a lot of fun and many love how unique the gimmick is. The Zeus line is based around the metal ball gimmick. That's their niche and you remove that you just have a generic Beyblade with Liner. Kerbeus' gimmick was probably the most subtle and pointless, so one could argue not much has changed and finally, Screw Trident isn't a competitive layer so perhaps the gimmick wasn't that effective but man was it unique. Vice Leopard's gimmick is pointless other than a fun fidget toy but let me tell you, people would've been outraged, and for good reason, had it been removed because the gimmick is a significant reason why these things are differentiated.
Competitively, all three are not viable and if you measure them by that standard for Hasbro, this will not change, especially with Spryzen and Balkesh being so dominating. Is Liner a more competitive part than Planet? No. Is Wedge-S a more competitive part that Wedge? No. Is Survive-S a more competitive part than Revolve? Absolutely not.
I see a lot of pros to the Turbo line (mainly those beautiful exclusives, amazing Stadium, and exciting battles) but it's clear it's only in the infant stage of production and creativity is lost. The S series of drivers started off fresh but now they all do the same time. When Hasbro gets more creative and takes more risks, I believe people will warm up to it, but this early trend is not a good look. I'll wait for Wave 2 and 3 and take a pass on these early fails.
For a strong video that shares my feelings and argument toward Hasbro's recent choices:

Honestly, expecting high quality from Hasbro has been a failure of an idea since the early releases of Burst when drivers like Orbit and Yielding were quickly found absent in favor of cruddy filler drivers like Massive, Jaggy, and Edge. If you're really expecting them to paint a disk or make their beys look or perform good, then I can't reasonably say that's their problem that they've failed to meet your incredibly overblown expectations when they never really have done that with any consistency.
Hasbro is a company that is working towards throwing out products cheaply, and it's only growing worse with Turbo just like it got so much worse at the end of the Metal Saga (remember the pre-Hyperblades Cosmic Pegasus and Variares anyone?). I'm not going to falsely hope for quality from them and just let them do their own thing for a while until they realize that this was never what we wanted from them and either fix their problems or decide they don't want my money.

Hasbro makes bad price choices for Australians. Switch strike starters were $25 au that is so expensive for a toy and it's not for fair parents. Now for sling shock the price has been reduced to $19 which is a bit better. Hasbro has made beyblade in my opinion lose what they gained in switch strike. Switch strike was very similar to TT and sling shock completely got rid of the point of Cho-Z/Turbo. METAL. Even the fakes have metal. Sling shock drivers are mostly balance type drivers now. They could have just made the original tt drivers but no. I feel like they don't put effort in the layers, they leave them sticker less and it looks horrible without the details. Hasbro you guys better change
oh so that's why you made those print outs of the boxes. Because the site didn't sell them with the boxes included.
maybe because the products... weren't obtained legitimately?
Also didn't you say that you couldn't reveal the QR codes because you "were contacted and told not to release them until the street dates for the products" But yet you made videos about the QR codes... before the street dates of the products. So what changed?

Ah yes, thanks for the video Zankye.
So I suppose my end guess was right, Phoenix P4 does in fact have the gimmick thank goodness. The Phoenix without armour is thankfully not a stupidly light 4-5 grams like I predicted, 8 is surprisingly heavy for that small plastic core. IIRC P4 is also the heaviest Turbo layer so far at 12 grams? The driver is as expected and sadly no rubber or anything.
Ogre O4 is nice too, everything is as expected but unfortunately it is hollow, but it is round. But it doesn't seem that good so far, it is stock though. The looks do sell it for me though. By the way how heavy is the Layer? I don't think I've seen it being weighed yet.

I will probably get Phoenix P4 TBH since it looks really cool and neon. I've never liked Friction anyway so Hasbro removing the POM and rubber in favour of the Slingshock gimmick doesn't bother me honestly and may make it more exciting.

Ogre O4? You mean Cyclops C4? I didn't show the weighting but here's a picture roughly around 12 grams here's a picture of it. I'll make sure not to forget with the other layers to weigh it in. Most Turbo Beys weigh around the same.

Whoops yeah that's what I mean aha, I got confused because Cyclops has a Shrek like colour.
Thanks for the weight image, 12 grams is heavier than I thought so maybe there's hope.
I honestly like Phoenix’s Hasbro variant more than the Takara Tomy variant. I know it lacks metal, but it’s okay. As long as it still retains the functionality the layer originally had, that’s all that matters.
Happy to hear the gimmick is kept. Good job, Hasbro! Also, I love Cyclops. Too bad it doesn't have a gimmick itself.
Not sure if this is the right thread to post this to, but I haven't seen any Slingshock at either my local walmart or target in the past 2 weeks. Not even allocation in their beyblade area for them. I'm located in southern Indiana. Do they do a slow release of Slngshock, or should I just check surrounding cities for them?

Based on Hasbro’s way of creating Phoenix P4, I can understand the armor gimmick of this layer differs drastically from Tomy’s Revive Phoenix.
As a start, Hasbro’s cheap, obviously, so they planned on making the Energy Layer less complex, in which they must have done so by removing the only thing holding the gimmick together, a single click release system. The moment that Revive Phoenix as Tomy’s bey gets forced enough by the opposing bey, a single click passes and releases the armor from locking, allowing its gimmick to activate. Instead, Hasbro was so cheap, they removed the single click release, making the armor capable of releasing at any time, making it more pointless to even try to make the armor pop off, where’s the fun in that if you’re going to make the armor come off every time when you know you will no matter what?.
NO WAIT I WAS WRONG, I JUST RECHECKED PHOENIX P4, THE SINGLE slick release is still there.
This must mean that Hasbro actually does something for once, or else they may have thought of removing that single click release at first but may have realised that removing the single click release system causes the armor to fly off at the very moment of launch. (And by the way, every time I type on screen, when I check to see what I’m typing, the moment I type again, it shifts the screen upwards so I don’t even see what I’m typing anymore. Is there any sort of fix for that or is this website the problem?)
