Every time I've asked at my local shops they've said that they constantly get requests for beyblades, so it's maybe not too implausible
Hasbro Beyblade Burst - Upcoming Release & Rumor Thread
Enough to sell out an entire shipment in a matter of days with zero promotion? No way.

Low stock + Little kids wanting new toys + Possibly a few older fans = Sold out
Just a possibility though.
Certainly the opposite of "popular" in general

but the Japanese community is doing really well, it's soon to be us. (aka the English speaking community and rest of the world)

Side note, I'm actually surprised searches for "beyblade" in Japanese have not beaten the MFB times...

Tbh I think the app looks pretty good and I'm sure it'll do just fine, I would have liked to test it out but it's not available currently anyways, the footage from Kevo & Ilinnuc was good enough, as long as Hasbro doesn't mess up the parts like the end of the metal saga & release a stadium that doesn't have "pockets" Burst in North America should Do really good in sales, my mom brought up a pretty valid point that the some of the names Hasbro chose will be really hard for younger kids to pronounce though, I'd have to agree, I have trouble with some myself lol

Thinking about it, that's the most likely what he may have meant. I'm still honing to check back tomorrow though. I want to believe :P
Also, this is slightly off-topic, but shouldn't there be a separate thread for the Burst app? It seems kinda weird having musings about it mixed in with the discussion about our desperate attempts to find products :P
Why does the app always have to crash on my ipod every single time I try to get to a battle? Could anyone help?

And it sounds like they're almost intentionally making the Pokémon comparison of Scyther and Scizor (maybe I like the original name better because I prefer Syther IDK). At least we know that the actual toys are close by. Thanks for the news.
Good find lol, I wouldn't expect hasbro to do that, but then again, hasbro is pretty unpredictable

Nvm. Got the app working
Kei, TAKARA-TOMY trademarked the whole Beyblade names for the Basic Beys, but apparently Hasbro wants nothing to do with a simple naming scheme like Victory Wing Accel and does not want to even go as far as using 'Victory Valkyrie' either... I do not know if the copyrights work similarly everywhere, and/or if Hasbro did not purchase the rights to those specific names TAKARA-TOMY used out of budget restrictions or whatever?
Honestly no reason seems good enough, and the future is very predictable to me: of course the stadiums will have pockets, they will be covered in paint that ruins tips, and their centre will be flat; of course tournaments will be next to inexistent; of course the competitive equipment will be sporadic or inexistent; etc.

Brutal. But I can't disagree. There's no reason we should expect Hasbro to change course from their previous efforts.

At least we're getting Burst! I'm happy to even get it! Hasbro may have some bitter thoughts of pushing another wave of beyblade once again, so either it's a 'go cheap' and collect profits or they push quality products for longevity and pleasure to the fanbase. I think they're ok wit their profits building less quality parts so we're to buy more new beys for the parts. Either way, I hope they're going to really try this time around!
What does this have to do with profits? I am sure Hasbro is thrilled to have another Beyblade series to release again — Beyblade is one of the best-selling toylines ever.
Hasbro's issue has rarely been product quality (though there have been issues) — it's all about arbitrary product changes and incomprehensible decisions in how they choose to present the product.

I meant in terms of quality, i've purchased 3-4 Leone's years back just to ensure I had clean quality parts to ensure I was always good to go for. Especially performance tips. If they put a little more effort into certain parts that ware easily, possibly less sales for people simply needing certain parts thus buying a new beyblade. Edit; Also, no news in any attempts in stores asking people after work, even my friend at Walmart says nothing yet.
it turned out the delivery truck for the Walmart I went to yesterday was supposed to arrive tomorrow and not today
Rip verification of the toy isle guy's claim ;-;

So they beys are almost definitely gonna be tattooed right? 'Cause that'd be awesome
How can you tell the difference in a concept render?
Yes they have. Metal Fury is when they stopped.
Out of curiosity what is the point of stickers if they can just tattoo evreything on? Is it cheaper or something to get stickers?
Maybe i'm just not thinking but what part of the beyblade would they even tattoo? If you think they'll paint on the bits that would have been done by stickers with the takara versions well that's simple not realistic. Also why are you calling it tattoo instead of printed? That's kinda confusing.
RagerBlade: Yeah stickers would be probably be a lot easier and cheaper than painting part of the layers/faces. Also for most stickers that are complex (several colors and patterns in general which is pretty much all the stickers) you couldn't really paint that on in mass production with it taking a lot of work.

Well I suppose if you're not a fan of stickers then you're open to not having that decal whatsoever whereas tattooed in versions would be premade and that customization, even if you follow the template correctly for each bey, is gone. Even if it's stickers, some people take that pride in building it from scratch and customizing them beyond their corresponding stickers with another other beys'.
