[HMS] :: Q&A Thread

I know I have horrible parts, but what's the best combo I could build out of these?
Draciel MS
Driger MS
Gaia Dragoon MS
Jiraya MS (I was dumb enough to sell the best part, the RC, to a friend. Got $40 for it though)
These are pretty much all standard, but what is the best combo I could make?
I believe your best combo would be for Attack:

AR: Jiraiya Blade
WD: Circle Wide
RC: Flat Core

And since you got quite a bit for your Bearing Core 2, you could probably get another Jiraiya MS all together and make the following Defense combo:

AR: Metal Saucer
WD: Circle Wide
RC: Bearing Core 2

But considering how weak HMS Defense is, you'd probably be safer sticking with the Attacker.

Personally, I would use Circle Heavy with this. Higher spin velocity is more important to take advantage of than movement speed for Jiraiya Blade.
Sort of like a Purchase Consultation question here:

I need 1 of each HMS, for competitive use and one for collection purposes. Beys under about $25 each would be good!

And this works best in right spin correct? Is it any good in left spin?
Why is a Dragoon MSUV more rare and harder to find than a driger ms?
What would be a durable And good HMS to start my HMS collection?

Because its literally the most useful blade for attack types in the whole system. Driger is good but all it's parts are outclassed

Well, theres the three, Draciel MS, Driger MS, and Gaia Dragoon MS, that are really cheap. I got all three for $13 total. They do have some semi-useful parts.
Also, Jiraya MS is fairly cheap, and has some good parts.
If you can get Wolborg MS, or Death Gargoyle MS, those would be good buys as well.

And no, while some of the better HMS could stand up to earlier MFB, any decent MFB now has a huge weight advantage over them, which renders even HMS Zombies ineffective. This is also extremely dangerous for your HMS, as the system was not built to face such heavy opponents, which means they will likely be damaged or broken as a result.

Well after the HMS tournament my attack type combo demolished a great deal of the Zero G blades during free play. It lost a few rounds but for the most part it was pretty dominant.

Plus, Dragoon MSUV was released later than Driger MS, so also closer to the end of Bakuten Shoot Beyblade, which means that there were less Dragoon MSUV made, as far as I know.
It also didn't receive a hasbro release and has a tip that wears down a lot over time.

Oh yeah that's true. But even then Dragoon MS are pretty rare too, every time I see those for sale I just keep going because the prices be absurd.

It should be fine for either spin direction, maybe even better in left spin.

I have no idea what you are asking here...
The only beys you can get for under 25 would be the common 3: Driger, Draciel and Gaia Dragoon.

Everything else, expect $35+ at least.
(Jul. 15, 2013  7:47 PM)BladeHawk Wrote: What is the heaviest hms combo?

Well I would think a Samurai Changer as is would be the heaviest. You might have to use a heavier weight disk but other then that Samurai changer should be the heaviest.
AR: Samurai Upper/Jiraiya Blade
CWD: CWD God Ring with 17.6g metal piece
RC: Battle Change Core w/ CWD God Ring

Just having 2 God Rings makes it nearly impossible though haha.
Is CWD God Ring heavier than CWD Free Crusher though? Would think the latter would still be heavier albeit useless. That site we use for weights isn't always accurate for plastics thanks mostly to the "only to the nearest gram" thing, so I'd guess it's the same for HMS.

Also while I'm sure you're aware of this and it was just a little oversight, battle change core doesn't let you use a second metal part, just the CWD plastic part. Still heavy as heck though, and that's definitely still the most practical heavy combo.
Whoops didn't mean to type that.

I was trying to make it semi-useful, though I guess you are right on that. All it does is create the insane OHKO combo though if you stick the CWD Free Crusher w/ Battle Change haha.
I tried that OHKO combo out and it just seemed really dumb tbh. It has a tonne of recoil and not enough power to justify it, especially in a generation where more conventional attack setups are dominant anyway. I guess that regular attackers are out of the reach of most people but then again if you have slash riger and samurai changer you can probably get a dragoon MS at least.

AR: Jiraiya Blade
WD: CWD Defense Ring (17.6g Metal Piece)
RC: Battle Change Core w/ Battle Change Core CWD Part

Is a pretty neat combo with CWD Defense Ring fixing it in attack mode if set up right. Can KO stuff, and is heavy enough to not get entirely wiped out by Attack (usually it's DKO's and luck though). Haven't tested it enough yet though, but it's fun to mess around with.
You managed to get a lot more HMS than me, so I'll let you be the expert on that one. My funds prevent me from conducting more "out there" tests, I guess.

I might be able to test the combo you mentioned though, I haven't had time to goof around with my HMS recently thanks to work.

Sometimes you can get a dranzer ms for less than $25, but other than that your best bet is to just try ebay auctions, I've found a couple of HMS-loaded lots lately that I've gotten for cheap.
Important question:
What is the estimated current price for

NIB Dranzer MS Proto Grey,
NIB Driger MS Proto Grey,
NIB Draciel MS Proto Grey,
NIB Gaia Dragoon MS Proto Grey?

Please help me! :-)
