HIGH PARK THROWDOWN
High Park (map) - Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Sunday, July 19th, 2009 - 1PM
(originally slated for Saturday, July 18th)
MFB FORMAT

Calling all Toronto area Bladers! Come join Khel, Blue, and I as we host the first Beyblade tournament in Toronto in years (outside of Anime North haha)! Keep checking back here for more details as they become available!

We're hoping that we can create some sort of Toronto Beyclub, with HPT being the first event. Assuming we have enough attendees, this will be an official WBO tournament, so make sure to get your Blader Passport if you haven't done so already! And of course, we'll do some ranked and free battles in between everything. Oh, and there will be some prizes!

If you're interested, please let us know here so we can start building an attendance list. Hope to see you there!

Location:

On the day of the tournament, all of us will be meeting at the Bloor entrance of High Park at 1pm (as shown on the map here) and we'll walk to the location. Anybody who shows up a little late can just use the map and pictures to find their way.

If you think there is a possibility of you getting lost or anything else coming up, PM Khel right now to get his cell number.

I got confused, right down the road from my house, theres a High Park. I was going to say,
"Kei, I KNOW you don't live in KS and didn't contact me"
But then I looked again. Hehehe, thread title was cut off on the main page.

Good luck, Kei!
Awwww Yeeeaah
thats awsome oh i so want to go to that its going to be fun
The more the merrier. I look forward to this with great anticipation. BWR was too much fun, and I have the urge to battle real people.
Very very interested in coming to this. Grin
I want to see everyone again!
Yesss, so glad you'll be able to make it. This time I most definitely will have a ranked match with you.
Damn passport laws... don't think I'll be able to make it to this one... just takes too damn long to get a passport here. Also, I'm pretty sure I'm on stage that day.

Yeah the whole passport thing is gonna keep me from being there too.

I really want to come back to Toronto. Ommy and I still have a lot of fun to be had in town!

Of course another tourney,
BEYBLADE IS SERIOUS BUSINESS.
Okay, obscure internet refs aside, I'm sure they will do fine.
That's too bad Spinster and Roan.

There is always AN next year Smile

(or any other event that may get hosted in between)
Well, my plan is to apply for my passport as soon as I finish paying back my roommate for the RG&E and Time Warner bills- most likely by this Friday. It costs about $120, I think, and takes about 5 months to go through. Granted, this is simply what I've heard. It might take much less for all I know.
I am definitely down for this event Smile (my attendance almost ensures that I will bring at least 2 other players with me).

Is a "blader passport" going to be necessary to attend? I don't have paypal...

Elliot- you can get an enhanced drivers license instead of a passport, I'm told its much cheaper/quicker, but I don't really know much about it.

You can pay the entry fee of $5 at the tournament or you can pay $10 for a Blader Passport there.

Beaten! Never mind. XD

Anyway, nice, have fun everyone. Smile

Awesome, thanks! I'll buy the passport there then Grin

A few of my friends heard about the tournament after AN from me and "lightningstarfish" (Aaron) and are showing some interest in the game, they may decide to show up as well.
WORD UP!! yeah brad if you'd send out fwd to all tem BWR atendees, that was what i was thinking tooo
glad too see your in Em
Blue, maybe you should get a Beyblade that isn't five years old now. Grin
Updated the first post with an attendance list. At any point, if you think you may not be able to come, just post here and I'll add a "maybe" list. Anybody that posts after this can just say that they are either definitely or maybe going to attend.
Yeah, Blue, you're pretty good with the Beylauncher. Smile It'd be a shame to let that kind of skill go to waste.
